Baby Nolan

Born 3.23.2011 @12:17pm 8lbs 14oz. 18.5 in. We are in love with him. He is a great little baby. I love snuggling with him and Aurora adores him. Gerald is very proud to have a little boy. Gerald is so so cute with babies.

Birth was pretty standard really. Went in at 5:40 or so I progressed as quick as I could they waited too long to break my water in my opinion. but dr. was performing a surgery so I got pushed to the side a little. My nurse was awesome as was my epidural. I pushed for about 25 minutes and then we met Nolan Rivers.

I look forward to graduating so I can spend all my time with my kids and our family will get to meet him because so many of them are coming out for graduation.

lost

I've lost some well a lot of my steam for cleaning. feeling tired and lazy. ready to have the baby and not ready at the same time. It would be awesome if I didn't have a group project to worry about.

To Do's

After having some contractions at church I got a little panicky. My house is a HOT MESS. (it was just some more painful braxton hicks but it kicked me into gear). So when we got home I hopped on amazon.com and bought stuff just in case I went into labor that night or the next morning I got the embarrassing things I wouldn't want to have to have Gerald get for me and thanks to amazon prime everything would be at my house within two days (free shipping). I also got Aurora and Gerald to help me clean up the house a little, put stuff in storage took out stuff for the baby that was in storage. I had to get to work so still had a lot to do and a lot on my mind. SO today I accomplished the following:

Cleaned more dishes and half the kitchen
Washed 5 loads of laundry
Put away 5 loads of laundry
Ate out for Gerald's birthday
Cut Gerald's hair (looks pretty good if I may say so)
Showered
Went grocery shopping
Went shopping for everything else I didn't want to buy online
Reading/quiz for MFG 202

tomorrow's to do list
ask gerald to take out all the trash
Go to Doctor for weekly appointment
Clean fridge and rest of kitchen (mopping/clear off one more counter)
Wash sheets/towels/basket of clothes
Homework!! mostly for that dang religion class
make up bed for the baby

and the rest of the week
bathroom
my bedroom
put more of our crap in storage
vacuum
Last test in the testing center ever!!
Thank you notes
homework

Am I nesting out of my panic of being embarrassed or am I that close to having this little boy?

Fairy Tea Party

Every year Provo City Library hosts a Fairy Tea Party and a few weeks ago my boss Bunnie surprised Aurora and I with tickets. Aurora was shocked, speechless really all she could do was nod and smile. So Friday March 4th was finally here and I made Aurora a new fairy tutu (dressing up was a requirement). Everyone looked so great some girls arrived in a limo (crazy).

Aurora and I at the Daisy table.

At each seat was a program and little gift bag with a fairy necklace and fairy dust to remember our evening with the fairies.

The program was kept nice and short. The Fairy court was there and there was a special promanade where each kid could get up on a runway and twirl for the kingdom (bunnies granddaughter took her up there and Aurora wanted to hang out with her the whole time). Aurora was awesome but pictures weren't allowed but I cheered. There was also a ballet and little snacks for us it was perfect.

Aurora was so outgoing. She took her tutu and wings off at least 5 times, but she always put it back on when she wanted to do something. She talked with ballerinas and the fairy king and took this picture with the fairy court. it was so much fun we even bought two fairy books. It was perfect Thank You Bunnie!

Birthday

Gerald turned 29 this week . . .  much to his dismay. It was a long regular day that often occurs when you are an adult. We tried to make it special for him. He did teach all morning and had baseball practice in the afternoon and I had class at night. We got him presents, made a card, and hung a little birthday banner. Our boss Bunnie gifted lots of beef jerky and a perfect little cake. A long time family friend brought over a small thanksgiving feast ( it was huge and fed us for days . . . she didn't know it was gerald's birthday but it worked out nicely). I left my night class early and we had a nice time as a family. I love my grumpy turd of a husband and I'm glad he had a happy birthday (I hope he can handle turning 30).

the home stretch

Well I am 36 weeks and 3 days. I am dilated a "couple" centimeters (so I'm guessing 2 almost 3) and 50% effaced. I'm really tired and I took about 4 naps yesterday poor little girl entertained herself for most of yesterday. When I was pregnant with Aurora I went into labor in the early morning after my baby shower so I am thinking I could do that this time too at least I would be somewhat okay with that  . . . Physically. I just want to make it to Saturday that's when my shower is happening so if you are in the provo area come on down. But My house is FAR from ready I was thinking about talking my little sister into helping me clean. And I am fully prepared to carry full term because that would mean not having to tote my little boy around campus along with my little girl and more time to work on projects.

Oh I am so trunky when it comes to school. I cannot wait for graduation! 7 weeks!
