Family Photos

The baby was really lucky to be able to be with family during the holiday. He's the first grandchild, great-grandchild, and nephew on both sides.

A smile? most likely gas

Yes, we know it's probably gas, but I'd like to think it's his first real smile. :)

Hanging out w/ dad

Since Nick had to leave shortly after the baby was born, Nick was very excited to be with him again. This is a short clip of Nick's first night home with the baby (after a week of not seeing him).

Going shopping

Preparing for the first trip outside the home.

Since my parents can't drive in the US, even though the baby is only three days old, we've had to bring him along with us when my family went shopping at Kohl's. He was content during the drive and fell asleep at the department store.

first visitor (outside of family)

The first day we were out from the hospital, it just so happened that one of my high school buddies was also in town, visiting from Canada. It's been 7 years since we've seen each other.

Since we were feeling fairly 'recovered', we asked her to come by to see the baby.

Not too social since he's gotten hungry"

The beginning

After 48 hours of pre-labor (4-5 mins apart), water finally broke at 11:30pm (dec 7). So Nick rushed us to the hospital, only to find out that I was only dilated to a 3.

After a shot of pitocin, the contractions really started going. I was really hoping not to resort to drugs, but after two sleepless days, I needed the rest. Thanks to the epidural I was able to take a nap until about 4:30am.

After an hour of pushing, the baby was born at 5:30am, 6 lbs 1oz, 18 inches long.
