Summer Happenings

So far, this summer has been pretty fun, but crazy busy. Hank and I pass Kellen back and forth like a hot potato. Fortunately, we set aside some family time every week to ensure ultimate family bonding. :)

Here are a few things we've been up to lately....

Kellen learned to drive after work...

Right before that, he charmed Marty Haws....

And just before that, he put my photography skills to the ultimate test by exhibiting serious contrast against Charles Abouo...

The night before the basketball camp, he discovered balloons for the first time, which entertained him for a good hour...

This Fourth of July we graced the Lindon Aquatic Center with our summer bods...

Only some of us still have excuses for rolls...(those that don't are unpictured)

Waiting for the flow rider. Just one year ago I watched Hank from the sidelines, occasionally yelling at him in line to come flip my beached whale body over onto the other side. I'm not sure which is cooler amongst the middle schoolers in line with Hank; helping pregnant wife rotate like a rotisserie chicken or having wife and baby join him in line because we have no one else to hang out with...

Kellen's best friend came to town!!! They loved poking and prodding at each other...they were so stinking cute. I can't wait until we move closer so they can play together all the time!

Kellen and Eli watched the Stadium of Fire fireworks from the comfort of a hotel room right before bed. They were the perfect distance for noise and the ultimate tracking tool. Hank swore he saw Kellen smiling at them but every picture I took, he looked frightened beyond belief. I think we need a few more years before we can reasonably engage in any real firework ceremony.

We just love the Haydens...

That's all for now! I'm beyond tired and a 5 minute nap sounds heavenly. I'm going to give it a shot, even though I know my sleeping baby can sense when I attempt to relax!

And he's AWAKE! Ah!!!

Gerber Baby Contest

I know I'm a crazy mom....but when an i-pad and $50,000 scholarship are on the line, I have to ask: will you please vote for Kellen?

I promise it only takes a second.

You can vote every day until the end of the month. I recognize that's a lot to ask....but if you still read this blog, you must think he is somewhat cute since all I do is post pictures of him? (Or super hideous but I'm not willing to entertain that as an option.)

His smiling little face can be accessed here.

You just have to login to facebook and follow the prompts. Really, less than 30 seconds.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
