Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 249

Good morning!!  It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  Want to play along?  Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC249 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

This will be our last sketch for 2014 so we can take time to relax and spend time with family during the Holidays. The SSSC will return January 4th.

This week we have another tilted panel stowed away inside the sketch - it's a love/hate relationship with a lot of stampers, so with that in mind, I hope you'll give it a try.  I'm using this lovely coordinating Ornament Banner stamp and Die-namics for my card today.  You don't need to use ornaments for your card, any element will do the job.

I cut out the Ornament Banner in Smooth White card stock and then stamped the ornaments in random colors.  I cut out the little paper strip for the banner in Aubrey Blue card stock and then popped the whole thing up over the entire card front.  For a little sparkle, I added a few Shine Bright sequins along the different layers and then added my sentiment in Electric Red ink.

I hope you enjoyed this week's sketch and I'd love to see what you create!  Please hop on over to see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers have whipped up for you today:

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Holidays {CTS #103}

Hello and happy Thursday!  I'm so, SO excited to be the guest designer for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch and boy, this sketch is a keeper!  I love this big tilted panel.

I have a Christmas card for you today using some very non-traditional colors, which I just L-O-V-E!  The background sentiments are all from Holiday Subway Art from My Favorite Things, and I stamped them in no particular order along the edge of the card stock.

I added an additional sentiment from Ornament Builder (MFT) on a Sentiment Strips Die-namics and popped it up over a fishtail banner so that it stands out a little bit from the background.

I do hope you'll join in on all the fun over at CAS(E) this Sketch and be sure to hop on over there and see what the fabulous design team has created with this wonderful sketch as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 248

Good morning!!  It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  Want to play along?  Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. Since Christmas is right around the corner, I'm trying to squeeze in some last minute cards.  I inked up this darling à la modes You Shine from My Favorite Things.

I stamped her in Black Licorice Hybrid ink and colored her with Copic markers.  I added a little glitter glaze to the light bulbs for a little extra brilliance. I'd recommend one layer of glaze because I put 2 on and the glaze lost some of it's clarity.  Just FYI. After cutting out the squares, I used the Let It Snowflake Die-namics to cut out the little snowflakes.  I put square pieces of colored card stock behind the snowflakes for a fun pop of color, along with a rhinestone in each center.

That will do it for me this week, but please stop over and see what the rest of the Sweet Sunday Stampers have created for you:
