Welcome to day ONE of MFT Teasers!  Today, I'm showing a little sneak of Circus Spectacular, the debut stamps and Die-namics set from Lisa Johnson!

This is such a fun set to work with - I couldn't get enough of all the little elements in the stamps!  I started by cutting out the Ticket Strip Die-namics in Kraft Cardstock.  After stamping two of the tickets, I tore them apart at the perforation lines - SO cute!  Now all the layering fun begins.  The base is one of the new Designer Labels 4 STAX Die-namics dies, which I cut out of some Lime Twist Out of the Blue 6x6 paper from My Mind's Eye.  The tickets are tucked under a Oval STAX Set 1 Die-namics die and then stamped up the cage on the coordinating Circus Spectacular Die-namics die.

Here is a detail shot of the circus token stamp:

And the tickets:

The inside of the card is stamped and decorated as well -

I repeated the tucked ticket and then stamped the giraffe in Memento Desert Sand ink and added the birthday sentiment on Wild Cherry Cardstock.

Be sure to stop on by the MFT Blog for a complete list of all the designers participating in today's Teaser.

Here are the new, soon to be released Die-namics dies I used today:

Birthday Daisy

Good morning and happy Monday!  Or at least I hope it's a happy Monday for you - the dreaded Monday, haha!  I needed to make a quick birthday card, so I grabbed the July Key Ingredients Kit from Taylored Expressions - these KI Kits make creating cards and projects a snap!  Everything is hand picked to mix and match and all you need to do is pick a stamp set and ink, and there you go.  Card!  I haven't inked up Oops a Daisy yet, so I quickly grabbed it and used MOJO251 for the layout.

I stamped the flower in Memento Desert Sand Ink and then colored it with some Copic Markers.  I left the petals uncolored, but used BG90 to lightly color around the outside of the petals, to make them stand out against the buttercream cardstock.  Then I stamped the sentiment over the flower image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  After assembling the base of the card with different patterned papers from the July KI Kit, I wrapped some of the ribbon from the kit around the base and tied a simple bow.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Here are the items I used on today's card, which are available in the TE Store:

Under the Weather?

Hello again!  I'm back to share a card with this sweet little Destination Seattle Cuppie image from Taylored Expressions.

I started by following Jen Shults' DS61 and using some Victoria Park 6x6 Papers from Lily Bee Design.

I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored it with Copic Markers.  I tried to make a stormy looking sky, but I'm pretty sure it looked more realistic in my head, LOL!  The sentiment is stamped on part of the Small Scallop Border Die and then I added lots and lots of black stitching.

Have a wonderful Sunday and please stop on over to the TE Store and check out these fantastic items I used today:

recipe -
stamps: destination seattle (te)
paper: basic grey (su!), black licorice (mft), choice snow white (te), victoria park 6x6 (lily bee design)
ink: memento tuxedo black
accessories: copic markers, small scallop border die (te), black pearls (kaisercraft), sewing machine, thread, foam tape

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 164

Good morning!!  It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close in two weeks, next Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time). Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC164 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

WANT TO BE A GUEST Sweet Sunday Stamper?  I'll be picking my favorite card or project after each challenge and that winner will have a special guest spot as a designer on a future Sweet Sunday Challenge.  I'm SO excited about this!  You can enter as many different cards as you'd like before the following Friday deadline, so get stampy!

I will be announcing the next Guest Sweet Sunday Stamper later this week, so be sure to check back to see if you will be joining the design team for SSSC165!

WINNER, WINNER - Chicken Dinner:
Apparently I had lost my head this past week and I completely forgot to pick a winner for the guest stamper spot for this week.  I feel SO horrible about that!  SO....  I'm thinking a free treat for one lucky stamper will remedy that.  Right?

I'll be choosing one random SSSC164 participant, and that lucky crafter will win a $35 gift voucher to My Favorite Things!  Who's on board??   Be sure to link up your project here at the bottom of this post - I'll be choosing the winner from that list, not from the comments.

I used a MFT set for my card today - Ring Me Die-namics & Stamp Set.

This card was fairly quick and easy to put together - all the Die-namics dies did the talking here.  I cut out the telephone in So Happy Together 6x6 papers and then stamped the numbers in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on white cardstock.   I layered the phone over a Square STAX Set 2 Die-namics die and then tucked the Tag, You're It Die-namics die cut underneath.  The flower is made from white cardstock with the Plentiful Petals Die-namics die and I added a Banana Split Button tied with Buttercream Twine.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the curly-q phone cord in Memento Cantaloupe Ink and added the sentiment above it in Memento Tuxedo Black.  Easy peasy!

The Sweet Sunday Stampers have more inspiration for you today - hop on over and see:

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club

Hello!  It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another fun sketch challenge from MFT!  Here's a look at the sketch:

I made a card using Contempo Cage Die-namics and Stamps.

I started with a 5"x5" Kraft card base and then added some So Happy Together 6x6 papers from Echo Park for the various layers from the sketch.  I used the Contempo Cage Die-namics to cut out the bird cage and then glued it to a sheet of white cardstock, which I had already stamped the bird and swing on earlier.  I trimmed off the excess white cardstock and then added the completed cage to the Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics in polka dot papers.  I used some Cotton Candy Ribbon and Cotton Candy Buttons tied with Buttercream Twine for the last little details from the sketch.

On the inside, I repeated the image from the front of the card and had the bird singing a few notes and added the sentiment up top.  Super quick for the inside, but it really adds so much!

Don't forget to stop by the MFT Blog for more details on this week's Stamp Club challenge as well as a complete list of all the designers playing along today.

Taylored Expressions Studio Challenge

Taylored Expressions is introducing a new monthly challenge for the design team:  The Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge.  This will be an opportunity for us to share what makes our stamping studios hum.  Each month we will have a fun, crafty question so we can share our favorites, some tips and tricks, stamping advice and more.

The question for July is:

You are stranded on a desert island. The good news is that you find a fabulous stamping hut well-stocked with papers, inks and other stamping supplies, however you only have the 5 stamp sets you brought with you in the luggage you managed to salvage. So tell us, what stamps sets did you bring and why?

First, I would have to grab Love Grows Here.

I think I would miss having all the different seasons throughout the year if I were on a tropical desert island, so Love Grows Here would help keep those seasons close to me.  I made a little something using the happy little beehive tree from the set.  I started by stamping the image in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored it with Copic Markers.  I used some Sweet Day 6x6 papers from Echo Park and the MOJO250 sketch.

Here are 5 stamp sets I'd rescue from my sinking ship:

Love Grows Here: I need me some seasons!

Friendship Blooms: I need to have a flower set with me, especially one with leafy green branches.  I love the different petal shapes and sentiments, and of course they have coordinating Taylored Dies!

In the Clouds:  I adore these little blimps and banners and there are sentiments for all sorts of occasions.

Green Acres: I'm all about 'corny' humor, so I would definitely bring this darling set along, just to make me laugh some coconut milk out my nose.

Woodland Winter:  I'd need to have this set with me so I can dream of white Christmases, and snow, and aspen trees, and my beloved mountains.  These little cuties make me smile!

Hop on over and see what the other Baker's Dozen designers are choosing to save:
Check out these fun items in the TE store:

Hello, Friend

Good morning!  I'm so grateful you stopped by and I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I have a super fun sketch for you from MFT, which just happens to be the current Guest Designer Challenge.  Here is your chance to win over $200 in MFT product and play along with the MFT team during the month of August.  You should hop on over to the MFT Forum and check out all the details!  You have until August 6th to enter as many cards as you'd like.

Here is the sketch:

I used Pure Innocence Being Cute Is What I Do for my card:

I adore this stamp set - it's actually the very first MFT stamp set I purchased many moons ago and I just can't get over those adorable pig-tails.  I cut out one of the Rounded Banner STAX Die-namics for the image panel and stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black.  She's colored with Copic markers and I paper pieced her clothing with some On the Sunny Side 6x6 papers from My Mind's Eye.  I added the sentiment from PI Freckles on a Mini Tabs Foursome Die-namics die and zigzag stitched it to the panel.  The sketch was perfect for a Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics, which I added in yellow patterned paper, and then balanced the card with some Banana Split Ribbon and Banana Split Buttons.

I kept the inside of my card fairly simple, only adding some patterned papers and a sentiment, stamped on a Sentiment Strips Die-namics die.

I used these items on my card, which can be found in the MFT Boutique:

recipe -
stamps: pi being cute is what i do (mft), pi freckles (mft)
paper: wild cherry (mft), kraft (mft), choice buttercream (te), on the sunny side 6x6 (my mind's eye)
ink: memento tuxedo black
accessories: copic markers, rounded banner stax/fishtail flags stax/mini tabs foursome/sentiment strips die-namics (mft), banana split ribbon (mft), banana split buttons (mft), maraschino red twine (the twinery), sewing machine, thread, foam tape

Life is short...

Make it Amazing!  I agree!  I have another card using Taylored Expressions July Key Ingredients Kit for you this morning.

I haven't inked up Make it Amazing in a while and I adore the matching Elegant Butterflies, Twiggy Branch, and Frame it Up 3 dies, which make for a super quick card with lots of punch.  I stamped the frame and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then cut it out with the Frame it Up 3 Die and then layered all of the elements on Jen Del Muro's July SFYTT.   All of the papers and embellishments are from the July Key Ingredients Kit and you can see all of the information on this particular kit HERE.

You can find the following products in the Taylored Expressions Store:
