Spring Has Sprung

Good evening, hope your Sunday has been good, did you manage to get any art done today?  I am here to show you my March calendar page in my altered calendar.  I had been playing along with a challenge over at Art and Soul Darcy's blog (all for fun) but with the death of my MIL and all the time visiting hospital and preparing bits I got behind.  But I love the challenge so I shall be playing along by myself so I can complete the calendar for next year :-).
I would like to enter the following challenges :-
Country View Crafts Challenge Blog - Simply Scenic
Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog - Anything Goes
Sparkles Monthly Challenge Blog - It's Spring
Craft for the Craic Challenge Blog - Wings

I actually remember a place like this, except it had hills in the background,
it was when I was a child in Tralee in Southern Ireland :-)

Right I better be off, I shall probably back tomorrow with another post so I can catch up with everything I want to show you all.
Happy Art :-)

WOYWW 6th Anniversary

Good evening, hope your all really well.  I have to admit, it has been a mega busy week.  With all that's gone on recently, I had got behind on works accounts that had to be in for Friday and let's just say, most of my day and night for a week has been numbers.  I finally got them out today and am happy to report I have spent the afternoon creating.  It feels so fulfilling to create and relax after such busy weeks and after catching up with some work over the next two days I have a week off of nothing, completely nothing, relaxing, seeing friends, creating, more creating and getting messy. Completely Bliss :-).
So this afternoon I have been creating my 8 ATC's to go out for WOYWW.  Now I have to admit I need to catch up with comments of those that have asked, but I reckon I will still have 3 left if anyone is interested.  They will be sent out hopefully tomorrow if they will dry lol.  There is a sneak peek on one of the pics.
I will catch up with everyone tonight and tomorrow.
6th Anniversary ATC Swap
Wonderful design made by the awesome Nikki

Here is some bits left over from my background of my woyww ATC's,
which will be used as scraps for punching or adding paint for backgrounds :-)

Here is a long view, mostly the same as last week as I haven't been
creating, unless you call my accounting as creative (which sometimes it can be lol).
On the floor is the backgrounds of the ATC's for woyww, I just love using
bright colours :-)

Right I better be off, I need to chase my swaps as they probably think I have forgot, but I haven't, I just haven't been able to do anything but eat and sleep with accounts in my hand.

Happy WOYWW :-)

WOYWW 311

Hi ya, yep it's Wednesday which can only mean one thing, it's time for us crafter's to share our super neat desks!!! ok, so share our messy desks lol, over at WOYWW.  I can't believe it's almost the ATC anniversary next week and I have already planned my ATC's for the weekend.  I shall be making a load and would love to swap with extra's, so if you would like to swap just leave me a comment :-).
I haven't managed to get many comments done and see a lot of desks this last week due to being busy with funeral arrangements but I cant't wait to catch up with you all this week.
The funeral was yesterday, such a sad affair but also a celebration to honour her life.  My partner and I still have so much to go through with her estate, but the worst is over.
I have so much to show everyone, plus so many things to catch up with, but I know I will bit by bit and try not to get stressed.  Sometimes after being away from everything arty and then coming back to it becomes stressful, thinking of all the things to be done, but I am determined to take my time and enjoy the process :-).

This is just what I am about to start, I invested in some Neocolor 11 crayons and I really
am enjoying playing, the monster I am about to colour finishes an envelope
swap I have been doing so I can get them sent if tomorrow.  I am
late by a few days, but they understand with everything going on.
The envelopes are well hidden under the crayons lol.  I have my mega decent
fine paint brushes out, I keep them separate from my others or when
I am desperate for a brush I will end up using them for whatever I am
playing with at the time, I have damaged a few like that.

My new heat gun, yes this is my 5th one, I don't know what I do with them,
they do get dropped on the floor often lol, plus I managed to melt a heat gun!!!!!
I am hoping this one will last a little longer, problem is, I start with good intentions keeping
it looking new and not chucking it around, but in the end I go mad lol.

On the left side is my calendar art that I had been playing with over on
Darcy's Blog, this is March which I finished just after Pauline had been
rushed into hospital, it was late because of everything then of course April
was missed.  I am hoping to catch up with them again soon as I really
enjoyed using the large surface.
At the front is some ATC's using left over paint that I keep adding to.
Some new products, some more extra tough modelling paste, matte medium
and super heavy gesso.
The pile of stencils I have been using on my envelopes plus the Sheena stamps
under the ATC's.  My pencil case holds all my journal pens and pencils.

Right, I shall be off, I want to go finish my monsters and then go visiting around blogland.  I will be back Friday (or maybe tomorrow) with some art I have been doing during this rough time.  I do feel like I am ready to get back to blogging, as they say, life has to go on, but it's not easy.
Don't forget, if you want to swap extra ATC's for next week just let me know.
Happy Art :-)

WOYWW 310

Hi ya, yes I know it's been a few weeks since I blogged and nearly 3 months since my What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  It has been a tough few months as you know, February and March had a lot of illness, then April was difficult with my Mother in Law being in, out and back in hospital and then she had a bleed on the brain and died, I was so sure she would get better.  My Father in Law during that time lost all reality in life and was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and regrettably has had to be put into care.  It's awful to see, especially as he doesn't seem to realise that Pauline has died.  4 days after my last post, just a few days after she died I ended up really ill, the doctors wanted me to stay in hospital but I knew my family needed me home.  I didn't even realise I had an infection which ended up being a nasty one, I was so scared.  In the end a lot of bed rest and medication and now I so much better and finally sorting out the funeral which will be next Tuesday.  Today I went to pick an outfit for her, it's so weird, their home, car all still there, just as it was, when they were living their life in March, completely healthy (apart from Frank being forgetful).  It makes me realise that life can be so vulnerable and in reality doesn't have to prepare us for change or death, a scary and sobering thought.

I have been creating even though I did step back from blogging and after the funeral next week I am hoping to start getting back to some form of normality.  I can't believe that it's nearly the anniversary of WOYWW and I can't wait to join in.  If anybody else would like an ATC please let me know, I shall be making sure I make plenty.

I am just about to start on some envelope swaps that I shall be posting on
Friday.  Also on my desk is my Donna Downey Inspiration Wednesday journal I
made, plus some Dylusion paints are out which I have been playing with.

On top of my plastic drawers (which seems to be used as an extra desk lol) are stamps
that I have been deciding on for the envelope swap, a tag I made just as
a relaxation crafty evening which I shall be blogging soon and another
Inspiration Wednesday journal I made, purely for playing around with and testing
out older videos that Donna Downey made.

My dumping/sewing desk has my sewing machine out ready which I used
for the journals the other day, on the left side is a frame that I started on
for a Paperartsy challenge, but everything in April happened. I shall be finishing
it off soon hopefully.  At the front of the desk is my Pan Pastel box and 2
ATC's that I started with the Dylusion paints, purely playing but when they
are done I shall put them on here for swapping.
At the back is some Ice Resin I am planning on playing with, my journal
that I am in the middle of doing a Tim Holtz tag for April (that I didn't get
finished) and on the right is a journal page finished for Life Book 2015
which I have finally started.  I am still on lesson 1 but on the second
journal page.  With such a lot going off this year I was late starting but
the best thing is, you do it at your own space so I don't feel rushed and
just enjoying the process.  This page I am really pleased with and shall blog soon.

Right I shall be off to play with my Pan Pastels, I would like to say a huge thank you to my followers for being so understanding during this rough time.  I haven't had many posts up but I do have lots to blog so I shall be posting more soon.  I also have been so behind with my commenting but I have started so I shall get around to everyone :-).  Don't forget, leave me a comment if you want to swap a
WOYWW anniversary ATC.
Happy ART :-)
