Trip to Washington!

Right after my parents got home from their mission in NYC Kevin and I headed down to Washington for a week. My family wanted to do a baby shower for me before miss Finley came so we hurried down to Enumclaw! It's a 13hr drive from Rexburg and being almost 8 months pregnant I was a little nervous for the drive. Shockingly it wasn't bad at all! We had so much fun while we were there seeing family!

We even passed a place in Washington named Finley!!

Paying for gas in Washington wasn't ver much fun though :(

The saturday after we got there we went and watched our nephews baseball tournament all day long. It was lots of fun watching them play! Mckay is the catcher on his team and Tanner pitches, they are awesome!! Everyone got nice sunburns from sitting out in the sun all day too.

We got to finally meet our nephew Ryan (Scott & Kelli's boy)!!! He is so so cute!!! He has the cutest hair that flies straight up and the biggest cheeks! He was a lot of fun to play with.

Kevin wanted to see some real forests up in Washington so my parents took us up to the mountains. Kevin said it was "good for his soul". He loved it. We also got to see a big giant tree that was 700 years old! It takes about 10 people to fit all the way around! Then we went to our favorite place and Wapiti Woolies and got huckleberry milkshakes!

We also went to Seattle for the day with my parents. We went to the Ballard Locks and got to see lots of fancy boats go through.

We also went to my favorite seafood restaurant The Crabpot!! Kevin had never experienced real seafood so my parents and I had to show him how it's really done!!! At the Crabpot they dump big buckets of seafood (crab, clams, muscles, shrimp) on your table and you just dive right in! It was so so yummy and Kevin loved it!!!

We had so much fun while we were in Washington hanging out with family! Now we are back in Rexburg waiting for miss Finley to arrive! Only 4 1/2 more weeks!! We even got a stroller....weird!!!

Happy 23rd birthday Kevin!!!

May 10th was Kevin's 23rd birthday! He works all day long so I tried to plan the whole day out so whenever we were together we were doing something for his birthday.  The day before I was running around town gathering things for his birthday and after I had made my last stop at the store to get 3 balloons to be sitting out the morning of his birthday I opened the car and the 3 balloons that I had just bought flew right out the window and into space!!!! I was so mad!! Whoever saw that probably got a good laugh. It was probably even more funny to watch a 7 1/2 months pregnant woman running after them. I went inside and waited a few hours to go get new ones so the people at the store wouldn't be suspicious as to why I was coming to get 3 more balloons. (you better believe I had a death grip on those new balloons until they were safe in my house!!

So Kevin's birthday morning came with breakfast (he just wanted cereal), a new design magazine and a card I made just for him! He is always designing cards for people so I thought I would impress him!

I went and picked up Kevin for his lunch break his friend Zach came over and brought Taco Bus tacos (our favorite!).  Kevin has been wanting to play the Donkey Kong Wii game for a while so I borrowed it from a friend and we got to play that on his lunch break as well.

Kevin got home from work and we played some more Wii and got ready to make one of Kevin's favorite dinners, calzones! Our friends Zach and Hannah came over for dinner to celebrate with us. Kevin opened a couple of presents and then we watched a movie and had Kevin's requested cookie ice cream sandwiches. It was a very fun day!

Life is a little different since September :)

Lots has happened since the last post we had in September! Here is some of the things we have been up to.....
-Kevin has been going to school and studying graphic design. He loves creating new things. He is taking this summer semester off and working full time as a graphic designer up on campus and loves it.

-Thanksgiving we spent in Rexburg and got to share the holiday with my good friend Kelsey, her fiance Dirk and our good friend Ben. I successfully cooked my first turkey and it was so yummy! We got to go around the table and say all the things we were thankful for. Kevin and I are so blessed and we couldn't be happier!

-For Christmas we also got to spend the holiday in Rexburg. We wished we could have been with family but for our first Christmas together it couldn't have been more fun. We got a little tree and decorated it and our apartment. Watched all the Christmas movies we could find. Wrapped lots of presents. On Christmas Eve we went down below our apartment to a game place and got to play lots of fun arcade games. Then Christmas Eve night we watched Christmas movies, read a Christmas book from my mom and made a nativity out of play dough. We had lots of fun Christmas day and got to open fun presents and talk to all of our families...it was a very fun day!

-We moved into a new apartment a few weeks ago that is a lot bigger than our old one and we love it! Once we get everything finished and decorated I will take some pictures of it and show you. We finally don't have to walk up 5 million stairs to get to our apartment and park 2 blocks away. And we live right next to a big park which is fun to take walks around. We live in a normal neighborhood which is fun too (we almost feel like real adults! haha!).

-And our most important news of our lives is the cute baby girl Finley Sue that is due the 4th of July!! We are so excited that she is coming and can't wait to meet her. My pregnancy hasn't been the most fun time of my life and I was really sick for about the first 5 months and still every now and then have a sick day. I'm so glad that I have Kevin to take care of me whenever I've been sick. I decided the other day that he gets the amazing husband award for the next....forever...because he does anything and everything for me. He's been a trooper. He's always is telling me he wants Finley to come now. He's going to be such a good dad.

-So now I'm almost 31 weeks pregnant and I can't believe it! I can't believe how soon Finley will be here! I look like I'm smuggling a basketball. Getting off the couch and rolling over in bed has become quite the task! Miss Finley thinks it's so much fun to kick my ribs (not fun!). Maybe she'll be good at clogging?? I have a really short torso so she doesn't have much room to grow anymore. My stomach is going to keep poking farther and farther out.  Hopefully the next few weeks till Finley gets here go by fast!!

-Hopefully that updates you a bit on what we've been up to! And hopefully I do MUCH better at keeping this blog updated!!

Graduated from college & married all in 1 summer!!!

So, our summer was as busy as it gets! After we got engaged it was crunch time to plan and design our wedding which was on August 11th! It was also my last semester of college so there wasn't ever any time to just relax.

My parents came down for my graduation and that was really fun. They came and saw me and Kevin's new apartment and helped us fix it up even more....thanks mom and dad!!! (blog post to come soon about the apartment...so stay tuned for that!!)

After graduation Kevin and I made the road trip back down to Washington to get ready for the wedding that was in 2 weeks. We made about a bazillion projects and decorations for our wedding and it all turned out amazing! I still want to go back to our reception because it was so much fun!

We had a really cool old car at our reception that was one of the main decorations. Everybody loved it! Kevin cut out the "HITCHED" letters we put flowers and pictures all over it.

Being silly with the boys outside the temple
And our families were all there to celebrate!!!!

My bestest friends Gretchn & Rachel (bridesmaids) came up with their husbands! They helped so much and it was so much fun for them to be at our wedding!!!
My sister Angie was our photographer and she did an amazing job. I always couldn't wait for the day that she took my wedding pictures and it finally came!! Thanks Angie!!!!

Then we left our reception and it couldn't have been any better of a day!! The temple sealing was amazing...and the reception the next day was so much fun!!!!

And for your added viewing pleasure I thought that I would just add a picture of the cake that I made for our wedding...yes, I'm very proud of it!!!! Enjoy....

So this is our first big blog post of hopefully many more to come!!! I have to get our apartment pictures done so you can see the before and after! Life at the Delgado's is great though. Kevin just started school on the 12th and is having fun with his art classes. Right now I'm sitting on the couch and he is doing a project where he has to make letters out of different things. He is using clothes pins haha. I've been working since I graduated and I start a new job on Monday so we'll see how that goes!! It's been a lot of fun to be back in Rexburg!!!
