Anna's 4th Birthday!

Anna turned 4 this week.  We tried to make the day special for her.  We started out the day by having her open the gifts from us since Kevin wasn't sure what time he'd be home from work and then we had a party for her (really her friends came and played and then we had some cake and ice cream...no games).  After that she and Kyle played all afternoon together with all her cool new toys.  I feel like it was a great day and I think she would agree.

If you want an easy/cute cake....cake mix, white frosting, fruit by the foot and life savers.  She loved it and it took about 7 minutes to decorate!!!  Thankyou familyfun.com!!

Kindergarten completed!!

Kyle has completed Kindergarten!!  I cannot believe it...seriously, where did the year go?  He had such a great year and learn so much more than I ever thought possible.  He loved his teacher and all the friends he made in class.  It's going to be a lot of work for me this summer keeping him busy!!

Anna got to decorate one as well and since there was no picture in it she decided to be the picture...seriously, she thought of this herself, I don't know where she comes from!!

Pre-school Graduation

Anna finished her first half-year of pre-school (she didn't start until January...I had a baby and was lazy). She loved going with all her friends and she learned a lot!! Thanks so much Miss Melissa!!!

The Heat is ON!!!

We pretty much melt everyday as we walk home from school with Kyle so today we pulled out the little backyard pool to cool off.  The kids loved it, even Colin was happy to be in the cold pool water!!

We love gymnastics!!!

Anna had her skills "tested" during gymnastics last week. She did great and she got a ribbon.

So I made Colin a quilt.  He absolutely loves it more than anything in the world..at least that's what I tell myself.

Go Kart Fun!!!

Kyle went to a birthday party where all the kids got to drive go-karts.  It would be an understatement to say that he was excited.  He had a blast and is still talking about it days later!!!

New accessory for baby Colin

Colin got a helmet this week....he doesn't seem to mind at all, even when sleeping.  He is still his happy, cute little self.  Soon he'll be a happy, cute, round headed little self.   

I think I'm a quilter...

I finished my second quilt, but it's my first "I did everything absolutely by myself" quilt.  I learn a couple of things doing this quilt 1.  I really like hand quilting and 2. that I really hate binding.  I had so much trouble with it this time....I think maybe the strips were too narrow, anyway something to figure out on my next one....I can't wait.

Can you tell that I picked the fabric out during the cold and gloominess of winter?  Pretty sure I wanted something bright and colorful to look at....and it sure it!!
