For the break this year we decided to take the kids to the Oregon Coast. We stayed in a place that Kevin grew up going to called Otter Crest. It turned out to be a great little get away. We all had fun and loved the family time we got together.
Our room looked out over the ocean. Every morning Kyle would say "I feel like I'm in Hawaii" I'm just going to let him feel that way, because I felt a bit cold.
One day we went to the Aquarium and had a great time.
You can tell by this picture below that I was also on a break from doing Anna's hair. She didn't mind so neither did I.
We walked along the beach everyday during low tide to try to see some of the creatures that we learned about at the aquarium in their natural habitat.
Kyle found a star fish.
Colin found a stick
Anna found a shell
Kyle exploring the tide pools
Kyle learned that sea weed is really slippery
We also visited a couple of light houses.
Colin wasn't having the "please don't touch any of the really old artifacts" in the house so the two of us went outside and he enjoyed a lollipop.
And we couldn't miss seeing cheese being made in action, so on the way home we stopped at the Tillamook Cheese factory for lunch.
