I have a kindergartener!!!

He went in with a smile on his face and came out yelling, "this school is so much better than pre-school!!" I think it's going to be a great year!!!
Anna was just as excited...until we got home and she got really bored really fast. Hopefully that will change in a few weeks!!

Birthday Celebration!!

August 11th was Kyle's 5th birthday.....I can't believe I've been a mom that long!! Kyle is very happy to be five and we started celebrating a few days early.On the Saturday before we had our first ever friends birthday party. It was race car theme and pretty low key. We started with pin the wheel on the car....
Then we colored race cars with markers....much less messy than paint and just as enjoyable for the kids.
Then we played "hit Kyle's dad with balloons." The kids came up with this one on their own.

We had a racetrack cake and ice cream.

Then on Kyle's actual birthday he opened his gift from us. He has been eyeing this MarioKart racetrack for months and you can tell by his face that he is a little excited about it!!!

We had a little bit more cake with our little family....

Then we broke out the track for some late night racing with dad!!!

I'm pretty sure he had a great birthday because the entire next day he kept thanking me and Anna for the racetrack. We are sure grateful for our big kid Kyle!!!

Swim Lessons

This summer I put the kids in swimming lessons and they had a blast. They were able to be in the same class which they loved (especially Kyle...he has a huge crush on Anna). They both will put their heads under the water so I consider their experience a success!!!Kyle learning to float on his back

The last day they were allowed to play on the play structure....pretty much all they did was go down this slide for 20 minutes and they couldn't have been happier.
