Reyden's tooth!!
Or rather, it's Reyden's toothless! Haha!
I've been bugging Mummy about why Reyes and my classmates had already some teeth changed but mine still intact. My molars aren't even out yet!
I was ecstatic when the tooth fell out. There's some white bits growing out at the back so I won't be toothless for too long.

River Safari
Mummy and Yiyi decided on an impromptu trip to the River Safari this am. There wasn't much animals at the Safari. Most of them are aqua animals, kind of boring to Mummy. Reyden was fascinated by the crocodile though. The thing we like about the place is 80% are sheltered so won't perspire as much as a walk in the zoo.
And of cos the cute pandas too!

Marching to Pri 1
This is sequel to Mummy's 1st post about PRIMARY SCHOOLS 2 months back. There'll probably be many many chapters for this title. We shall leave those to next year. Let's start with the happier things though.
Mummy had gotten our water bottles, school bags and wallet/purses ready! Thank you to all the aunties who had helped in her "research" and their recommendations. We love our new stuff for school. These purchases made us half ready for entrance to the primary school. We are now left with the school books, uniforms, shoes and socks and we'll be all geared! Mummy said we'll get those after orientation on the 26th Oct.

Ang Mo Kio Explorerkid
It's Members Monday @ Explorerkid, therefore Mummy brought us to Ang Mo Kio Explorerkid for some play. This is a relatively small area compared to another branch at Downtown East. However the interior and equipments are in newer and better condition.

Sup(p)er Project
Mummy's post:
Reyes finally hit 20kg and Reynee gained about 300gms for the 1.5 mths. Reyden is still stuck at the same point. How difficult ... He's just way too active. Probably I need to control his movements instead.

Reyes' review
I was due for my medical review/lung function test today. The test is to determine if I have asthma/weak lungs or just sensitive aiways. It turned out that I'm not asthmatic.
However I do have sensitive airways thus the few episode of bronchitis. However the specialist mentioned it's not anything serious and I'll probably outgrow it when I'm older.
The test itself was pretty tough as I had to hold my breath and blow out long enough for them to capture the statistics. Gorgor was there with me and he kind of movtivated to do the tests well. Thank God for the result and thank God for the lovely twin.

Reynee at her 1st Toddler's church class
On a side note, Gorgor had impressed Mummy with his four words of being good. He wrote love, be nice, share and FORGIVE! Mummy says he has a big heart.
p.s: She wonders who he wanna forgive though.

Our 1st Children Church service
Mummy finally brought us to our 1st Children Church! It was at the Chapel of the Resurrection where Aunty Elisa attends. She takes the young kids for the Children Church too though a different age group as the one we attend. This place isn't unfamiliar for Mummy as she had stayed in that estate for 17 years and Ah Chor's still there now.
Oh yes and they do have a young todd class too. Nee will be here for the next session. She missed today's as she's nursing a fever.
Mummy was elated to know Reyden likes the session as he said he wants to be back. She also knew that he was following thru the story and singing as he went home telling Daddy that he's David, he has a sling and stones to help him fight Goliath. Haha!

Bangkok trip with Nee
Reynee's post:
Mummy and Yiyi planned for a BKK trip some time ago when I wasn't taking formula milk well yet. Thus Mummy thought she will just lug me along. However they managed to coax me into taking a brand (well, it's another story) just before the trip but I still get to tag along as they had already booked and paid for me as well. Ah Gong and Ah Mah went with us too. Can you imagine how sad Gorgor Jiejie were ...
We stayed at Hotel Novotel Bangkok Platinum. Mummy knows we can always trust Yiyi for her hotel recommendations. This hotel is perfect for us as it's located just above the Platinum mall which they did most of their shopping. There's a nice foodcourt at Level 6 too. Ah Gong could bring me back to nap in the room when I was tired. The hotel has a kid's room and nice pool too.
Other than the Platinum Mall, we shopped and had dinner at Central World for the 1st day. The rest of the itinerary is as below:
Day 1
Lunch at Platinum Mall
Shopping at Platinum Mall
Dinner and short shopping at Central World
*There's a big Naraya at Central World
Supper from roadside stall on the way back to hotel! :p
Day 2
Early day at Chatuchak
BTS to Siam Square for lunch at Baan Khun Mae
Shopping back at Platinum Mall
Dinner at Chinatown T&K Seafood
Massage at Silom
*Recommended is Body Tune at Silom but we gave it a miss cos they don't allow kids.
Day 3
Breakfast and early shopping at Pratunam market
Massage at the small shops beside Baiyoke Sky Hotel
MBK Centre for lunch and lingerie buys
Back to hotel for check out and last min shopping at Platinum Mall (yes, again!)
Our short and simple iti.
And Í was a good gal throughout, I braved thru the heat at Chatuchak, survived the boredom at their massage sessions, ate the spicy food and kept still at the no-high chair restaurants.

Doc For A Day
Thank you to Aunty Jeanelle for sharing about this event on facebook. Mummy signed us up for it at the Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital. We were brought around demo rooms like general practice room, A&E, operating threate, nursery and pharmacy, got to try bandaging, picking out things (??) from dummy lungs and etc ... It was a pretty great learning session for us.

Nee's 1st movie!
We've went for Despicable Me at AMK Hub today. Nee came along and she was an angel in the cinema! No moving around, no fussing, sat still and laughed as the show went along.
We can do this more often. Yeah!

PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Why is it in caps? Cos it's the MAIN thing on Mummy's mind now (and the past few weeks). She had completed 40 hours of parent volunteer work at a neighbourhood school beside our place early this year. In fact she had been rather happy with what she understands and seen at the school thus far.
However she is still kind of holding on to 2 other "more prestigious" schools, Radin Mas (Daddy's old school) and Rosyth which is within 1km of our place. The problem here is Radin Mas is sooooo far from home and Mummy don't forsee we will move to anywhere near there soon. The other choice, Rosyth is probably a risk as there'll be balloting required.
So ... we are back to square one. Daddy said Mummy is just giving herself problem. Just settle with the one nearby and that's it. Mummy certainly hopes she won't regret this decision.
Anyway Reyden had given her some insights of his views about this matter and it kind of assured Mummy of her decision.

Yu Guo Chinese Physician Acupuncture & Physiotherapy Pte Ltd
Nee's post:
I've been having this chronic hives which bugs me for months. It comes and goes and itches badly each time. Mummy had brought me to 3 doctors/allergy specialists but all didn't help. I was being put on antihistamine for long term. Though it's very little qty of 0.5ml each time but Mummuy still don't feel good about it. She chanced upon Yu Guo Chinese Physician Acupuncture & Physiotherapy Pte Ltd while searching for remedies online. She then recalled Jiejie had went for tuina many years back for her health therefore she decided to bring me there for a try.
I did well during the tuina sessions, kind of enjoyed it, But I totally hate the black chinese medicine from the physician. It takes some effort to force it down me thrice a day. Mummy hopes all these will pay off.
Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, Pond Gardens
The new Bishan - Ang Mo Kio Park has a new look and features after the reconstruction. There are also additional water and adventure playgrounds for young children.
However do not expect fanciful water features as the water playground is more of flowing streams of water for the children to have fun with water and appreciate its qualities and value.
Nee enjoys splashing the water around though.
We brought some food and a mat for picnic. We don't see many having picnic at the park, not sure if it's not a common thing there afterall. Anyway who cares, as long as the kids had fun with bubbles, scooter, ball and frisbee!

Reyes' in the hospital again
Reyes' post:
This is my 2nd hospital stay and it's for pneumonia this time. Mummy is guessing it's probably cos of the bad haze 2 weeks ago. I had a persistent cough which escalate to lungs infection coupled with fever and ended up in pneumonia.
I had 6 cycles of ventolin puffs at the A&E but my airway was still tight and with heavy breathing thus the adminssion. The time round Mummy didn't stay with me, Daddy did. Mummy had to go home to look after Nee and express milk. Daddy said I'm already a big gal so I need to be sensible.
Some of Mummy's friends visited me during my stay and brought me lots of stuff. We appreciate their kind thoughts. Nainai and Dua Pek came too. Though I didn't have to go school, could watch TV the whole day and there were lots of toys/ballooons for me, I still wish I was back home. I miss Reyden and Nee Nee.
I went home with a lung function test booked in Sep. PD had wanted to check if this is just a one time thing and nothing to do with my lungs. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Garden By The Bay
Yeah! We are finally here. We've heard raves about Garden By The Bay featuring exotic diversity of plants from all over the world and the few attractions within the garden.
We went for the Cloud Forest and Supertree Grove this round. Mummy said we'll come back and visit the others another day.
The Cloud Forest is cool, literally. The cool-moist conservatory's temperature is between 23-25 degree celsius. It holds a 35-metre tall mountain covered in lush vegetation shrouding the world’s tallest indoor waterfall showcases plant life from tropical highlands in it. We all love the cool conservatory.
The Supertree Grove though not as "cool", it's quite an interesting attraction too. We took a stroll along the OCBC Skyway, a 128-metre long walkway with a height of 22-metres that connects two Supertrees at the Supertree Grove, taking in different views of the Garden.
We must say this Garden changes Daddy and Mummy's views about a garden. Thumbs up for it!

Desaru Trip (23rd - 25th May)
Yeah, it's another getaway trip! We had a route trip to Desaru, stayed at Lotus Desaru for this short holiday. The resort isn't quite fantastic as it's pretty rundown and old. However we love it for the waterpark. There's a long slide available at the waterpark which is the joy of every kid ( or even adult)!
Other than swimming and waterplay, there's also a spa operating at the resort. There are also some fruits, fireflies, ostrich tours available out of the resort. We chose to go for the fireflies tour which is something interesting for the kids. We took a boat ride out in the dark and witness those blinking lights (fireflies) at the swamp areas.
As for meals, there are eateries within the resorts and also a village (about 30 mins drive) with abundance of seafood restaurants. We settled for Straits View Seafood restaurant which food is not really good. Perhaps you would like to try some others when you are there.

Nee's 1st visit to the zoo
Nee finally made it to the zoo for the 1st time! We've been planning to bring her for quite some time but the outing just didnt take place.
Just like us, she enjoyëd the walk and "animal-viewing" though she didn't really understand what those moving creatures are all about. And of cos the best place to her is the water play area. Mummy didn't take much pixs of the animals as they didn't change alot from the last few times we were there.
We are looking forward to visit Kaikai & Jiajia's home next.
Something for fun. We took this on our 1st visit to the zoo so Mummy said it's a must for Nee too. Deja Vu!

More time for us!!
Mummy is gonna make a huge change to her (work) life. She had decided to go for a part time job, for more time and flexibility. Ever since the arrival of Nee, she had felt that she has too little time on hand. The 2-3 hours after work is simply too short to be distributed among the 3 of us. Bring us down to play, revise our school work, play with Nee, do simple teaching with Nee, grocery shopping and etc ...
As we are going into Pri 1 soon, she decided she needs to do something about this. And coincidentally, Aunty Michelle has a job recommendation which allows Mummy to work half a day. Though it's half day pm, but she thought it's good enough. She can spend time with Nee in the morning, do her grocery shopping and spend the evenings going thru school work or bring us down for play.
Though she's going to miss her current job, colleagues and bosses lots but she will just have to bear with it and take the "risk" to move to the new place. Let's all pray for a good working environment, nice colleagues and caring bosses for her!

Happy Birthday to Shi En at Amazonia
The young todds area
The big kids area
It's Shi-En's 2nd birthday today and Mummy arranged with Michelle Yiyi to bring all of us out for play. They decided to try out Amazonia at Great World City since much good reviews had been heard.
Amazonia brings the largest, most exciting themed play gym with an 8 metre high 4 level wave slide. They have spiral slide, ball pit , trampoline , suspension bridges and tunnels to provide hours of fun and energy burning excitement for children of 3-12 years of age. The other thing is the cafe because of all the indoor playgrounds, Amazonia has the biggest and most decent cafe! However, it was not easy to get a table given the crowd.
Overall, it's quite a fun place for us but Mummy finds the entrance is quite pricey at:

Reyes can do it too!
Mummy's post:
Just shortly after Reyden learnt to cycle the 2 wheeler, she mastered it too! I must I say I'm pretty proud of her. Reyden learnt it with Daddy's help. Daddy had been pushing and holding his bicycle from behind and eventually he managed on his own. Daddy had done the same with Reyes but she was just too afraid to do it so Daddy said will teach her again another time.
However this little gal didnt give up. Everytime Reyden goes down to cycle, she tags along and has a go at his bicycle. All on her own ...
And one fine day (which is today), she got it! She even managed to figure out going round turns herself. We can go for cycling outings at parks soon!

Reyden on a 2 wheeler
Mummy's post:
This post had been long "overdue". Overdue as in this milestone should have been hit eons ago. I was excited when I saw him managed to cycle on the 2 wheeler and exclaimed "yeah, 你会了!" He smiled and said "我的朋友早就会了". It dawned on me how much he had missed out or rather how much we had missed out on him lately.
He had asked us to teach him since like a year ago? But we procrastinated and brushed it off due to the time constraint. Finally found the time to do it these 2 days. It merely took him the 2-days sessions to learn this skill. He must have felt upset when he sees his friends cycling 2-wheelers prior to this. His progression had been limited by our lack of time for him (and Reyes too). We'll need to look into more time spend with the twins from now on.
Side note: Reyes had a go at it too but I guess she will need a few more sessions.

1st outdoor shoot with Nee
We did an outdoor photoshoot this evening. It was a Groupon deal with Lumiere Photography at Lower Peirce Reservoir. Though the session was pretty humid and warm, we all had some fun with the bubbles, balloons and tree climbing. Mummy is very pleased with the outcome of the shoot.
1st ice skating experience, COOL!
We had our 1st try at ice skating - Kallang Ice World today! Of course, we were terribly delighted and excited. There were training bars for the beginners. We used them for awhile before we could manage on our own and passed the bars to other users. It was a fun learning experience overall and Mummy was impressed with our determination and ability to pick up this activity so quickly.
Kallang Ice World charges $14 for adults and $12 for children (at least 4 years old). Rental for skates for adults cost an additional $3.50 while children skates cost $3. They are open till 10pm everyday except Saturdays and Public Holidays. For Saturdays and Public Holidays, they are open till 11pm. If you have any questions, you can get them at 63481123.

Aunty Charito's home leave
Aunty Charito made her way back to Phil for her 2 wks home leave last night. It was supposed to be in Dec but Mummy decided to let her go back early for her brother's wedding.
These 2 weeks will be tough on us (or rather Mummy and Ah Ma) as we'll all have to help out with the house chores while both of them take turns to look after Nee Nee. The good thing is we'll be off to Hongkong next Fri so housework can be leave aside for that period. Let's see if we all can survive (well).

Nee is walking (finally ...)
Nee Nee is finally walking ... at 12 mths 2 week!! Mummy said she's the slowest among 3 of us cos she's too pampered by all. Everyone enjoy carrying her around while we were "forced" to walk early as there weren't enough hands to carry both of us last time.

Nee is 1!
Meimei turns 1 today! Mummy wants to thank all for the well wishes, the blessings, those who supported her on our breastfeeding journey (yes, I'm still a full breastfeed, or rather breastmilk bb!) and Aunty Charito for taking care of me too.

Nee's cruising with walker
She's cruising the 1st time with the walker! The very same walker RR used 5 yrs ago. Mummy took a video but is having problem uploading it, will try again later.

Nee has a passport!
Yes, we are going for a trip therefore Mummy applied for Nee's passport. And since ours are going to expire in another 7 mths' time, she renewed as well. So off we went to ICA for the collection today.
