The last day of 2009 ...

We've come to the last day of 2009. It's another usual day with school in the morning & swimming in the afternoon. However we had a "late" night out this evening following Daddy and Mummy to their New Year's Eve dinner with Aunty Caryn and Aunty Fi at Brewbakers. It was almost 11pm by the time we were in bed. Mummy said if we could hang in there for a while more, we could have join in the countdown as well. Next year perhaps ...

Reyes' almost there ...

Mummy's post:

Finally after almost a year off diapers in the day, Reyes woke up with dry diapers for 2 nights in a row!!

We thought she'll probably take longer than this cos she will always wake up with wet diapers and not able to control her bladder as well as Reyden. So while Reyden had been fully toilet-trained since 1-2 months ago, we didn't expect too much from Reyes.

However there were signs of indication since few days ago when she wakes up with lighter diapers and finally dry diapers! We shall monitor for another month before I dare to take the risk (to let go sleep without diapers/pull ups). Let's hope she'll be totally off them by her birthday. Keeping my fingers crossed ...

Happy Boxing Day!!

Boxing Day = Presents unwrapping Day??

Santa Claus had sent us all these presents and many many more!! Happy Boxing Day to all!!

p.s.: Mummy wants to thank all Santa Claus aunties for the presents.

Merry Xmas 09 to all!!

We had a Xmas potluck party with the Mar 07 kids this evening at Teresa Ville. Huge turnout with 16-17 families and lots of yummy food prepared by the mummies. Mummy and Aunty Juliet helped in organising games for the kids with bubbles and balloons. Everyone had a great time and we wish all a Merry Happy Xmas 09!!

FunVee Xmas Nitetour

Thanks to Aunty Elaine that Mummy got to know about the FunVee Xmas Nitetour by the STB. The usual price for the FunVee bus tour costs $23 per adult. However it's free with the sms from STB!

We had prayed pretty hard for good weather so that we can enjoy the lightings on the open top bus. The bus tour started from Singapore Flyer followed by dinner at Lau Pa Sat. After dinner, the bus brought us thru Orchard, Bugis and Marina area before ending the tour at Delfi Orchard. The Xmas lightings along the way were dazzling! You can bet that both of us were all excited over the stars, Santa Claus, snowmen & etc ...

Is this our bus??

冬至快乐!!

Though this is our 3rd 冬至 but this is our 1st time making 汤圆. Reyes loved to roll the dough into small small "balls" whereas Reyden was only interested in rolling them into long strips. Nevertheless both had fun with the dough.

Class photos

We've finally gotten our class photos which we took 2 months ago! Mummy likes Reyden's poses very much. Too bad Reyes was crying before the session and looked real sad in the pix. Anyway, there's always next year.

Reyes & big big bus

Reyes' post:

I was found to be slightly feverish this morning therefore Mummy decided to keep me at home to monitor. Daddy saw that I was well and active by afternoon, thought that they shall bring me on a "big big bus" ride. In case you wonder what's a big big bus ... It's just a normal double decker bus. As Reyden had been on one before and he had always been telling me about it so I bugged Daddy to bring me on one as well.

Sensory Park at Toa Payoh

A trip to Sensory Park at Toa Payoh. We had breakfast with Aunty Fi, Dan and Yaz at MacDs before heading to the park excitedly to join Keira.

However we were kind of disappointed when we reached there. The place isn't as big as expected plus the scorching sun ... therefore we didn't stay too long. We just had a short play at the playground and some tries at the workout stations which wasn't meant for kids in the 1st place.

Perhaps it'll be a good place in the evening for those who are staying nearby ...

Fun at Vivocity (Mickey Mouse and Friends)

We had a tiring and long day. After the Hello Kitty show at Millenia Walk, we proceeded to Vivocity for the Mickey Mouse show. While waiting for Aunty Fi & Aunty Carmen to come, we went for waterplay, photograph taking with the Xmas decor & had some snacks.

Finally it was time for the show. Well, the Mickey Mouse show was worthwhile the wait afterall. Thanks to Aunty Carmen for the tickets. As for those without the tickets, you can still watch the show but without the Meet and Greet session. Do drop by if you happen to be there.

Dinner was at Carl's Junior after the show and then followed by animal rides. The rides were fun but expensive though. $4 for a mere 5 mins' ride. Well, guess not too bad since we enjoyed it.

Mummy had a little "achievement" today. She managed to "lug" the 2 of us to town on a weekend. Though she had brought us out on her own many times but this is probably the 1st time we were out in town area on a weekend for such long hours. Daddy had to work today and missed all the fun. Thank God that we were pretty well-behaved and cooperative. So we should be expecting more of these outings?
