Pre/Post Exercise Dwarf... Hectic, Mental and physically taxing,,, And Sickness

Dwarf is an exercise ALL arty specialists hav to go through.. Well.. Mine was on last wed to thurs... A SIMPLE 2 days 1 nite deployment out in choa chu kang jalan lam sam... Well.. For the first deployment, i relax... Cos i'm the road marshal... Woah... First time standing in the middle of the road wif a red flag stopping all the vehicles coming at me. Hahaha... Had to stop all the cars outside khatib camp so as to allow our convoy to move w/o interruption.

We had 5 deployments... Each deployment made us perspire like hell.. Cos its of a faster pace compared to Ex Giant which i'll be taking part in on tis wed to fri.. The deployments was chicken feet.. The hard part is camo as i'm doing all the shit jobs... Hahaha.. Some of my mates look quite lost.. Ya.. We did our drills and procedures just as taught... Rained a bit but not enuff to drench our camo net... Well.. Mosquitoes had their buffet again...

Ya and tis became a routine... Unhook gun, deploy, camo, shoot, camo down, hook up and run.. Luckily.. We hav our insulaor of ice where we left our drinks in.. Great red bull.... Frozen... hahaha..

Bad ting was i developed a stomach ache after nitez out on thurs.. Practically missed everything on fri and i had to go to Dieppe barracks cos my camp doesnt hav a MO(Med Officer) on duty.. Sux... Onli gave mi painkiller... Develop a high fever at 38.8 degrees... So i booked out to see doc... Diagnosis??? Stomach flu and fever...
Rested at home for 2 days and on sunday, my stomach still hurts.. No choice... TTSH was the choice.. After x ray all these i was deemed fit... No fever and stomach flu le... So left constipation... Ya.. Haven shit for 5 days.. Now den remember... So the doc gave laxatives through the bottom... And manz... POWER... Toilet rush in the observation room... And here i am now... 2 days mc... Booking in later... Civilian to soldier again... Well, my stomach still hurts... Hope god bless mi... ^^

Times passed real fast.. So as we have grown...

Wat a week tis has been... hmmm... Long time no blog... Sorta at a loss of wat to do... hahaha... Well... BMTC2 ORION, SISPEC FOXTROT, ARTY AI.... My posting so far... I quite like my army life... From BMTC to SISPEC... Though both companies are relatively siong... But... As i look back.... Well... I'm of more becoming like a soldier... STAND UP!!! FIGHT FOR OUR LAND!!! My instructors are great ppl.... Practical and logical... Till i come to ARTY Khatib camp..

Still remember my 32km route march... Every was in high spirits for the first 16km as we sang our hearts out throughout the whole journey... As fatigue began to set in in the later 16 km... We stopped our singing to concentrate on walking.. Because of constant walking and the full battle order on, i had 2 big blisters, one on the heel and the other on the bottom front of my foot.. Lolz... Began limping for a while but realise tis wasnt the solution... No choice... Bear wif it and carried on walking on the blisters.. Pain... But for pride and honour, hav to finish it.. We walk from 2100 till 0730... Through the nite... Can slp manz... After the march, we went straight to bunk to change into a new set of uniform for our POP parade... And the best ting is that we have to be in our FBO oso... NVM... Last mile to the end of SISPEC... As my PC 2WO Maran put on my rank, i feel proud of myself...

Well... I'm a corporal now in Arty Institute... Sad life there since tis week starts as our temporary instructors are gone and back in 23SA... The AI instructors are back from live firing exercise and has taken over... Sux big time.. Once again, we are treated like recruits and we are extremely upset bout tis... And the ting is tat those tat tok too much are the attached SGTs from other units and Arty BMT... THEY SUX... I hav nth to say to them... My whole Battery=Platoon are in an anti SGT mode now and watever we sing is part of our silent protest... There will be a time where one of us explode and they get it hard from us..

Well... Dun tok bout them liao.. Always spoil our day... Well... My frenz play punk on mi.. Lolz... Msg Jessica who's from my J1 class... --" And so tings continue... Lolz.... One song... CONTACTED!!!! And we rush to nearezst cover and start returning fire... FCO and we gain on enemy.... Veri veri tiring... Shag ahz.... Immediate attack, quick attack and ambush.... All these we learnt... Was drilled hard into our mind after 8 missions... 3 days 2 nights out field w/o proper basha.. Juz slp on ground sheets and feed mosquitoes... Sianz... Update later...

Games day in BMT.... FUN!!!!!

Lolz.... We were all set and ready to go... In our bright orange ORION shirt and our trash bins and basha sticks.... Ready to rock the house down.. We had our mascot... The ORION... A hunter i tink... And my buddy was the candidate.... Not the most muscular... But his actions certainly brings our spirits up.... We had a helmet which is golden in colour... Decorated nicely.... One which looks like a Roman general's helm... He had a shield which was the cover of a trash bin and long stick and silver tip as weapon...

Well... We went to the battlefield of about 8 companies where we competed in all the games... The stadium beside the Medical centre... Lolz... Mascots ran around wif their guards protecting them and were challenging other mascots.... Lolz... My buddy was certainly useful in entertaining everyone... But quite cocked up in protecting our helm... Not his fault oso... Ppl from other company backstab de... Sianz... WTH rite.... Den mani ppl from my coy oso hum chi de... When we "attack" other mascots, they juz stand around.... WTH..... Our helm was stolen from us by mani companies... We gave chase all the time... Lolz... Can see swarms or orange shirt guys running all the time... BUT.... Payback time came when we could not take it anymore...

Raven company stole our helm again... And this time... They went too far and destroyed our helm.... NVM... We went back to our SGT and told him.... So we planned... Our target... MASCOT??? NO!!! RAVEN ADMIN TENT??? YES!!! By that time, the whole Raven company was in the admin tentage.... Very hard to destroy it... Had to lure the whole company out.... Lolz.... But how??? Nvm... Our SGT and us planned... Those participated in the tug o war was in their long 4... Can be recognise where they are from... SO.. They are deployed to sneak to the back of the tent and walk around.... Some of us began surrounding the admin tent... To look that as if we are going to surround the whole Raven company for a fight... At the same time... The whole Raven company thought we are going for their mascot and ALL of them left their tent... The PC(Platoon Commander) a 2LT came out to those who were surrounding the tent and talk peace... THE COAST WAS CLEAR... A tent at a size bigger den a 8 man tent was within grasp... As the 2LT begin to talk peace.... His whole tent was lifted in all sides and began to dismantle.... Lolz... The whole Raven company was SHOCKED... They juz stood there and watch... The whole Orion company charged at the tent and began pulling... NICE SWEET REVENGE...

Oh ya... My Platoon 1 best trainee took sweet revenge oso... Rugby tackled ppl and flinged the U company mascot... Hahaha..... Sianz liao... Write more later..

Thoughts on the field camp.

A field camp that starts on a Saturday…. Damn… There goes my cartoon. This is one of the major events in my Ns. Lasting for 7 days, I wonder at first if it will be the similar to my Boys’ Brigade(BB) expedition camp which lasts only 3 days 2 nights… There was a major difference… Not even a bit, except for the part where we sleep in bashas.

I must first say that the field camp was indeed memorable, mostly because of the weather. We had like alternate days of rain and shine… It was pouring on the second day and got everyone drenched like no people’s business. The next day we had a 33.1 degrees for temperature and I was like staring blankly into space most of the time when we were free. Stoning whenever there’s time. My stomach certainly was not pleased. Imagine doing artillery drills, running and having your stomach growling at the same time. Certainly was not a nice experience. Fresh ration was ok, but desserts were best. One lesson learnt, no matter how sucks the food taste, filling the stomach is more important.

The field camp was a fruitful one. The FCO , various drills, LPOP, judging distance and many more are things that can only be learnt in the army. Tests made sure we had the concepts in or minds, but even though the theory is imprinted in my mind, the practical can differ by quite a bit. Nervousness played a part in affecting my performance. However, all’s well and ends well.

One objective I did not meet is NOT MISFIRING. DAMN. Carelessness has been a good friend of mine since I started schools. This friends leaves its trail in my tests papers, mostly maths papers. This bad habit I cannot seem to shake off. Had no idea why also. Did everything to ensure that my rifle parts or rifle will not be taken by any of the instructors. Just when I TRIED to be extra cautious, I went to check clear my weapon, leaving the magazine intact and went off. Felt damn dumb. Lesson learnt, either I check clear with my section mates so we remind each other or have my buddy check clear the rifle also( double check clear) before squeezing off.

We were all shagged out during the camp. Not much of a good sleep every night. Rain and artillery drills at the last night. Had to remain alert at all times, especially with a rifle by my side. Depression sets in most of the time when it rains. Seeing our bashas get flooded by mud water or pure rain dripping from the top of our basha, we try to build great wall of china to keep water out but when things gets worst, we just stare at the devastation. We were complaining but how sucks ladang was, but realize that it was heaven compare to the camp condition. Thus, I’m contented to just stay in ladang.

I’m a homely person. Kidish or anything, I miss home everyday. Only objective is to quickly let the days go past and go home. Used to want t get away from my mum’s naggings. But now, I dun mind if she nags at me whole day long. During the marches and as we sang When The Cold Wind Blows, the lyrics,” I’m a long long way from home, and I miss my mama so,” truly reflects my feelings. The comforts of my home, care and concern from my parents were deeply appreciated by me. I miss my home.

HAHAHA... Accomplishment in MU... Finished watching GS....

My MG now lvl 220 liao... Hahaha... Mite be low... But i reset liao... Lalalalala... So happy.... Wearing a dark wing now... Hahaha... Look more like pro... Hope to buy exc armor or pants +dsr for my MG.... T_T.... Hard to find... My bro bian tai de... Drop ring+dsr... Siao... So lucky... But all the same... He drop i use... Hahahahahaa...

Got Gundam Seed episode 48, 49 and 50 from Samuel today... Hahaha... Had lunch with him... Nice guy lahz... Freedom and Justice was so COOL!!!! TOTALLY!!! And Strike went down to save the Arcangel... T_T... Strike... Miss u.... All Providence de fault... Such a total bastard.... Hahaha... Kira got it destroy.... One blow into the cockpit.... Hahaha... Best.... Love gundam seed... Love Freedom...

Well... Today went to TTSH again to confirm reservations for stay in the hospital for my bro after the surgery... Veri ma fan... Muz confirm here and there... Haiz... Trip to TTSH today... Explain explain and explain...

Today was my youngest bro's consultation wif his doc day.... Woah... The X-ray he took was of his head... Top view of his head... Can see the whole skull clearly.. We see the bones(skull) as white patches... For black ones.... They are blank space... Air in the head.... Thats normal.... BUT... There's the black patch in the skull tat shows the position of the lump on my bro's neck... And there's more in the inner part of the skull... They are fats in layman terms... Its called lypomia or something... Juz heard the word from the doc onli... Nv read b4... Lolz... The surgery is simple... Cut open and dig out... Using fingers... Got complications lahz... Cos got nerves there... Tat controls facial movements.. This is the first case in singapore that the lump grows at where my bro has it... Neck... He says its interesting and challenging... Well... If its interesting to a doc... It cant be gd rite... Hahaha... Means its abnormal so its interesting to a doc rite... Hahahaha.... Sway manz... My bro's got realli "gd luck" rite...

Well... Though i hate him when he's at his saboing and act seh time which comprises of most of the time... I cannot wish bad for him rite... He's mi bro come on... Anyway.... Dun care le lahz... Went to NTU open house yesterday.... So little tings... Onli aerospace engineering and Civil engineering interests mi.... Well.... If lidat might as well go NUS de rite... Quite interested in NUS de Double degree programme for Physics and Material science and engineering... But... Not tat easy de... Muz apply into one of the individual course first den muz get really good grades in the first year, den might be able to get into the DDP.... So sianz rite... Well... Physics isnt the onli ting that interest mi... Maths too... Kaoz.... This is so hard to decide...

Lolz... And now mi little bro likes to hog on the com... Was saying he'll play from 2000 to 2130-2200... I waited and waited... He sux... Nv stopped lohz.... Play play play.... Dun wan to study... Duh.... We go to the talk for onli the 2 tings and they din mention anything... Sianz..... So juz went to each booths and took all the the brochures to see.... So sianz...Walk here walk there.... Oh ya... Ppl there were delia, caijun, hwee sian, rong ming, moses, wenyin...... ok lahz.... Quite fun.... ^^

After tat.... Went Jurong point to eat... ^^... Sort of got cheated... haha... The pasta was so little and so ex... Hahahahaha... Aiya... Nvm... Den went Suntec and did nth... Went to Moses's booth to see his frenz... After tat wait for the girls lohz... Cos Hwee sian went to her office to get her charger... The girls followed... We wait and wait.... hahahahah...
