Dear Family & Friends
We hope you have had a wonderful 2018 and that 2019 is even
better. We made it though 2018 and can’t
wait to see what 2019 has in store. We
look back though the year and see the hand of God in our lives daily! We couldn’t make it through life without Him. Some highlights this year were that we were
able to go to Hawaii for 8 days to visit
Kendra’s brother and see the amazing island of Oahu, our kids had a
wonderful Cross Country Season, Kendra started her 10th year Homeschooling,
we went camping as a family, we visited family a lot, we had family visit
us, the kids participated in plays, we started
a small family business selling The Cup Caddy , we learned a ton, and grew closer as a family!
Nate has been busy this year with family life, work,
projects and his calling. He works super hard and we are so grateful he finds
time to be an amazing dad and husband at the same time. Nate owns a business called PDR (Paint and
Dent Restoration). He does touchup paint,
buffing and small dent removal) He also
runs a Christmas light business, St. George Christmas Lights, from
October-January that keeps him very busy.
It’s been a great business and he just added permanent lights to what he
does so that he can do it year round along with PDR. Our older kids were able to help out a lot
this year and earn some money. Nate
loves serving with the youth in our ward and has loved having our oldest son
Talmage in there with him.
Kendra has been busy this year homeschooling all 5 kids from
Kindergarten – 10th grade! It’s
been an adjustment, but with Gods help she does it and she loves it. When she finds time in her days she loves
scrapbooking and watching Hallmark Movies, and if she can do those things at
the same time she’s even happier. She
helped out with Girls camp this year and loved being there with Maddie. She taught the CTR 4 class this year and is
helping with the RS activities. She is waking up early to read scriptures, journal and pray
and it carries her through each day. She is AWESOME! She can’t wait to go back
to Hawaii, but she is already getting excited about planning our next family
trip!
Madeline is now 15 years old and is loving it. She had a
great cross country season and finished it off at Nike Cross Region with a
personal record despite a knee injury. She is doing really well with horseback
and recently did some of the more intimidating jumps at her riding school. She
is in her ninth year playing her violin and is doing orchestra at Pine View
High. She has made some amazing friends this year as well as becoming closer to
her old ones. She misses Hawaii and wants to go back someday. She is excited
for the upcoming track season and then cross country in the fall.
Talmage is 12 years old, 13 next week, and he can’t wait to
be a teenager. He has been learning
piano mostly on his own but went to a piano camp and is starting lessons in
January, he has memorized a few short songs. Cross country season went well and
he was running 7 minute miles for 2 miles. He spends a lot of time on bikes at the
park and hopes to join a mountain biking club next yr. T is excited to be back
at the Grip improving his Ninja Skills. Scouts is doing well and he is one scout
master conference away from a star award, he should have his Eagle by the end
of next yr. He has some great friends and is an amazing big brother. He has loved being able to go to mutual and
the temple this year. He loved Hawaii.
Jackson is 10 years old, He has been loving cross country
and ran a 7 minute mile. He has been going to the Grip to improve his Ninja
skills and playing piano through the Presto program. He was super sad when his
best friend moved from our neighborhood but is happy to be taking piano lessons from Luke’s mom.
Jack is both happy and sad about the church changing the age youth progress to
different quorums and likes having church change to 2 hours instead of 3 hours.
He loves going to the to park to ride his bike on the dirt hills. He participated
in the play jungle book with his brothers this last year with St. George
Children’s theater. He loves soccer,
singing and playing with legos!
Bennett is 7 years old, and liked playing soccer this
spring, he says he is doing a lot better with his stuffy (stuffed animals)
addiction, he didn’t even ask for one for Christmas! He is doing so good with
his reading and loves going to the Grip so he can ride on the slider (it’s like
a zipline.)
He has been liking Legos a lot more and is building sets by
himself. He is excited to be baptized
next year.
Easton is 5 years old and is often told that he has SO MUCH
Energy! He is loving his first year going to the Grip and being able to run up
the warped wall and swing on the rings. He is also loving the time he has spent
at the park riding bikes. He is riding a big boy BMX’s and doing super cool
jumps. He thinks he is 13 and wants to
do everything his big brothers do. He
loves to be outside, play with the dog and jump on the trampoline!
Love you all and hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a awesome 2019!
