A Saturday I don't want to do over again...but I am sure proud of my kids!

We woke up early and headed to T’s soccer game.  This kid is good at soccer.  Seriously, he loves it and actually is good at it, which is awesome to see your kid succeed at something.
He ran so much and was really thirsty every time he had a break.  Seriously this kid does not stop running!
I guess Bennett is a lot like him….can’t stay still!
T is very good at pointing to tell people where they need to be (ha ha) or staying in the exact position he needs to be in.  His coach would tell him exactly where to stand and he wouldn’t move out of that area.  She finally told him it was ok to move around.

After the game we quickly dropped off the boys at Athena’s birthday party and drove 30 mins out to Santa Clara to get Maddie to this big performance.  She did amazing, but got in trouble for being late.  (which I always hate)
We headed back to the birthday party and I was so tired by the end of the day.
I love seeing my kids do things in public.  Using their talents and having fun!

Spike...Our Boy Version of Maddie

Look at this kid.  He is the spittin image of his sister in boy form.  He is chubbier and stronger and talks like a little man (grr, vroom vroom, etc), but he is chubby, and his blond hair, his Budda Belly, and his silly personality totally reminds us of Maddie.  We have been calling him Spike latly from Land Before Time becuase he makes funny sounds, and is chubby.  He is seriously when he has the attention he wants is the happiest baby on earth.  He LOVES  "SisSa" "Dack Dack" and "TaDa" and Mommy and Daddy.  He LOVES to be outside.  Infact if he could run in the road all day long he would.
He loves riding on the Weewo (Wiggle Car), and throwing the basketballs out in the road.
He LOVES to look at books.  I will find him sitting in a room just starring at the pages in a book for 10 mins.  He LOVE his Bottle, and Blaket and Monkey at bedtime and naptime.  He knows exactly when he is doing something naughty becuase he laughs and says "Vroom Vroom"
I found him sitting in the middle of the piano yesterday when I came out of the bathroom, He climbs on the table and chairs and the other day when he was supposed to be taking a nap he was screaming, so I went back to check on him and hit him right in the head with the door.  Yup that's right hegot out of his crib.  He is my Dangerous Boy, and I can't keep my eyes off him even for a second!  It's a good thing I like him so much and that he learned to give me kisses this last week!

Pine Valley Picnic

We had our 3rd annual Pine Valley picnic this last weekend.  We had such a great time, but within seconds of being there both Maddie and Jack were crying saying somthing stung them.  Maddie said it landed on here and stung her hand and then landed on Jack's lip.  Yup he is sticking it out, but it really was that big.  We thought we were going to have to go home if it got any bigger, but by the time we left it was back to mostly normal.  He cried for a while, and said it hurt really really bad, but he ran off to play about 10 mins later and said nothing about it the rest of the night.  For a couple days Maddie said her hand hurt.  I don't know what was going on. Everyone was having allergic reactons or getting bit by somthing.
We really enjoyed our last picnic with our ward.  We are sad to leave this amazing ward, but we know it is time.  I have met such amazing people and my life has been truely blessed because of them.  I look forward to going to a new ward, but you might not believe it (my friend leah doesn't) but I get really shy in a new environment, and it takes me a while to warm up to change.  Obvioulsy I didn't have much of that growing up.  My parents are still in the same ward I was born in!

The Grandma's of the year!

While we were on our trip the kids got to spend their time with their grandma and their great grandma!  They seemed to have a good week, until that last day when Bennett and Jack had big accidents in bed in the morning at the same time.
They seemed to stay really really busy.  My friends said they didn't really see them in the yard at all.  My mom said she got to nervous one day with the kids in the road playing that she made plans for each day.  They went to the water park in town, they played games, did puzzles, spent some time at friends, and learned fun poems and songs!

I LOVE this picture.  It is one of my favorites ever.

They took them to Zion one day.  I couldn't believe it when my mom told me.  What cool granny's my kids have!  They even bought them McDonald's!

I promise, she really does love him...

Last week I found this sign on Bennett's crib.  At first I was mad at her, but then I started to laugh.  She did it as a joke because I think she is sick of sharing a room with her brother, and he cries in the night still.  She is so patient, but I think she is expecting her own room when we move.  We shall see.  I know he can nap in our huge closet in the pack and play, We just need to get him sleeping until 7 instead of waking up at 4 for a bottle.
How could she not love him.....she does.  Look how sweet he is.  I miss sharing a room with the little guy that is not so little any more.  He is HUGE, and it makes me super sad how fast he grew.

Day 3 and 4 of our Cruise

Day 3 was Ensenada.  We woke up at the port and went and had a quick breakfast and were off.  We decided to splurge a little with this one and do La Bufadora (the Blow Hole) and Horse riding.  It was a little crazy.  This bus dropped our group off – which by the way ended up being all Mormons- at this random horse place on the side of the road.  They basically threw us up on our horses and told us to go.  This Mexican guy followed us and when we got to the beach he made this sound and the horses were off on a trot.  I about wet my self.  I was laughing so hard and wishing I had something to tie my hair back.  It was pretty fun and very pretty (despite being in a really ugly city)

The Amazing La Bufadora
Time to Barter….

That night they had a fancy Mexican dinner with all sorts of Mexican food and deserts.  I have to say everyone I know has raved about food on cruise ships.  It was really good, but not the best.  It is really nice to be able to eat however much you want though.  I was just not that impressed with their deserts.  I think the higher end cruise the better food.

This guy is so handsome…I am glad I married him!

I enjoyed an hour nap in a lounge chair while Nate worked out.  I was that tired!

Nate participated in every show he could to win his kids cruise ships.  He is so funny.  He ended up getting 3 and a bottle of wine (which we drank…I mean returned)
I was so so so tired the whole trip.  Every time we would come back to the cabin I would fall asleep on the bed watching TV.  Nate had way more energy and I was pooped.  Oh well!
This was up dressed up for the fancy night.  We had a great time and had tons of fun and even met some new really nice people.

Nate made the elephant for our room guy  so he made us this big heart and even gave us an extra chocolate!

I was really really grateful we had the opportunity to go on this trip.  We will definitely do it again and not in 10 years.  I am so grateful to be married to my best friend.  He is the best!
