Did you really need those anyway?

Sorry Santa, but a plate of cookies left unattended on the floor is really anybodies game.

Wise Men a Fightin'

Apparently Mary and Joseph did not stand a chance.

Apparently we need to do a better job of teaching our child exactly how you visit someone who has just had a baby. But really why would you make little people who just stand around, where is the set for David and Goliath anyway?

This year Mason is asking Santa for a robot tiger, violin and arrows (the kind that point you in what direction to go). I am sure there are many other little children with the very same list, I sure hope that his toys don't get mixed up with someone elses. I think that Brayden is whispering to Santa not to be fooled, that other child has not been as good as his little smile would suggest and that the violin will only be used as a sword...don't fall for it santa!!!!

Thanksgiving Weekend

There was a cute little boy,

and a Daddy teaching his boy,

and a boy waiting while his daddy played

and a little girl who should of been napping,

and a little girls who wanted nothing of a nap but did want out of her tent

and there was also a precious little boy who I got a grand total of 0 pictures. So to my little Brayden, I am sorry you are the classic second child and the photo album will have less pictures of you than any other children. I do however feel it is my responsibility as your mommy to give you an adequate amount of childhood issues for you to have well into your adulthood, so far it looks like I am doing a pretty good job!

This would be a perfect time for all the second and middle children to tell me how mistreated you were growing up and how I am forever warping my child.

With an imagination like this...who needs toys?

Who said costumes were for Halloween? When this costume is put on we no longer have a Mason but "Transformer the Bumblebee," and the costume is on 90% of the time. Yes, we are probably known by our neighbors as "the house with the little boy who is ALWAYS dressed up." Here are a few pictures from the Transformer's modeling session the other day.

Trouble in the Making

What do you do with 5 cousins...all boys? You say things like "if you play fight I don't want to hear about it when you get hurt!"

First Day of School

I realize this is rather belated...in fact there is a lot of blogging that I am behind on. Excuse 1: We are doing the preschool thing three days a week. Excuse 2: I think I am having blogers block...is that such a thing? What is worse boring blogs or no blogs at all?
Can you spot what is wrong with this picture? Look at the feet...he knows which shoe goes on what foot, but sometimes he does it wrong just to try to get a reaction. I feel it is my job to not react...if you see my child with backwards underwear, pants or shoes just know that he is crying out for attention:)

Confessions of a Not-So-Put-Together Mommy

Okay here it is...I don't write down my children's weight or measurements after their well child visits. If you were to ask me how much my child weighed at 6 months I would have two choices 1. to stare at you blankly or 2. make up a lie. I would love to tell you that if you looked inside their scrapbook you could find a page with all this information, but that would require a scrapbook...which is another confession for another time.

I also find it perfectly acceptable to run my child during the day, give the a bowl of popcorn and set them down in front of the TV, in my book a nap is a nap!

Our Day at Disney

Tickets to Disneyland: $200
Lunch for 4:$40

Spotting your 3 year old after realizing that none of the 7 adults you are with know where he is: Priceless
Poor baby had been running a fever for the past two days, he still does not look like he feels good.
This is how he spent a good part of the day.

Back from the Beach

We spent the last week in California with Michael's family. These pictures are from our last day and night as we enjoyed the beach. Now I am more of a pool person myself as my hair can only hold out for about 45 minutes near that much water before it is a complete ball of frizzy mess. I did take one for the team however and stayed a little longer before pulling my family back to the hotel. Brayden had a terible heat rash all over his little face and body from the day before so he stayed in with the grandparents and took a nap. I don't have any pictures of him so just imagine a pathetic little spotted boy passed out in a pack in play.
Cousins

Mason enjoyed swimming in the sand, we are still cleaning it out of his ears.

You Tube

A couple years ago I walked by and found Mason standing on his bed singing "The Lord's Army." I thought it was kind of cute so I grabbed the video camera and recorded him. I wanted to share it with the grandparents and decided that You Tube would probably be the easiest way. Now I have to admit that I had not really done anything on You Tube before and have not actually uploaded anything sense, but that is not the point. Tonight I decided to search and see if I could find it, which I did and it has had 640 views...really. Now I think my two year old in a t-shirt and diaper, standing on his bed, singing is cute, but what random person wants to watch that? I also realize that there are many other videos of kids with many more views than this but lets just do the math on this one, 640 view of a 54 second video equals 9 hours and 36 minutes that this poorly recorded video has played. That kind of creeps me out.

and because I just know you are dying to see this video I have hyped up:

Day 3 and 4

Okay the last of the New York post, promise! Michael and I had a wonderful time, it was a lot of fun to explore a new city. It was great to be around each other and not have to ask, "who is going to do the dishes?" and "exactly when was the last time the boys had a bath?" We got to see Phantom of the Opera and a play called Blythe Spirit while we were there. Here are a few pics from Chelsea Market and our morning at Rockefeller center before we headed for the airport.
