Hello Alligator

Good morning all,

I hope the sun is shining down on you all today. It is shining here at the moment but it was pouring down a little while ok. I have a quick card to share with you today and then I am off to celebrate little mans birthday as my Mum has come up to visit with his gifts. We are not doing much as he is only going to be One (On Tuesday) but we are getting a little cake.
Right here is my card:

I have used the fab new image Alligator Swim from 2 Cute Ink and coloured him with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I have used my spellbinders dies to cut him out and layered him on a scalloped oval (also Spellbinders). I have used my Border die to cut a zig zag border and used papers from my stash. I hit the ribbon drawer and found a yellow and a red ribbon that matched the paper. I used the yellow ribbon to cover the edge of the paper and then used the red ribbon to hang Alligator. This way he moves around a bit when you move the card. I added some little green buttons to give a bit more detail and cover where the ribbon joins the card. I then embellished with Candi and lots of little gems that I coloured with Promarkers to match the image.

Please check out the 2 Cute Ink Blog to see what my other team mates have done with this cute little image.

Fire, Fire, Fire

Well here is my second little card for you:

I have used a fab Freebie image from Doodle Dragon Studios and coloured him in with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. He looks so proud of himself does'nt he? I was having a rummage through my paper drawer the other day and found these papers among others that have been in there for who knows how long. I thought these two bits would work well with this image so I added a bit of black card and a card backing was born. I raided the ribbon drawer and found three ribbons matching the colours in the papers and used them to hide the join of the papers. I have used a handtyped sentiment and added some Candi to embellish. This one is quite simple but when I held other bits and bobs near it, it just did'nt work so I kept it simple.

I hope you all enjoy your evenings, I will be back on Saturday with my DT card for 2 Cute Ink.

Love at Christmas

Good evening all,

Oh boy has it been hot today, Little man has been in just a nappy all day as he was sweating like a pig. Hopefully it will cool down just a tad tomorrow. It would be nice if it was sunny but it's that horrible muggy weather yuk. I have two cards to share with you this evening so here is the first one:

I have used a little image from my Docrafts Forever Friends CD. The snowy paper is from a Dovecraft paper pad and the red card is from my stash. The lace started out white but I coloured it with my Promarker. I have used two sizes of white ribbon and a blue ribbon from my stash and layered them up. I have used a punch (I think it's Dovecraft) to punch a big snowflake from white glitter card and added a smaller sequin snowflake and a Candi to the centre. I handtyped the sentiment and added a red bow to the corner. I found some glittery pom poms in the drawer so I added three of them as I thought they looked a bit like snowballs. I then added some little pearls to finish.

A little Door Plaque

Hi I am back, I almost forgot to share this with you but I was going through some bits and there is was.

I used to make these little door signs a while ago and sell them on ebay but when I had Charlie I stopped. I came across my stash of Fimo and molds the other day so thought I would make one for my friends little girl. I have made the letters and tiger from Fimo and stuck them to a wooden plaque. I have then added some funky fibre so it can hang and some little buttons.

I have used my spellbinders to cut out Lilli Claire and a little mat for her to sit on. The backing papers are from my stash and I have hand typed a sentiment. I coloured the grass, Flower and Hedgies nose with Promarkers. Hedgie comes with some fab accessories so I have used the Love sentiment and added With to it to make a With Love sentiment. The papers are from my stash as are the pearls and bow. The challenge over at LEJ is recycle something so I have used the backing bit from my double sided tape to create the little ribbon under the pearls.

Hippie Hedgie

Good Evening All,

Hope you are all well this evening, I have three cards to share with you this evening and I am soooo tired as I am trying to drop Charlie's afternoon nap to see if it helps him sleep better at night as the little monster was still awake playing at 9 last night. So I will keep the posts short and get on with the first card:

I have used the fab new Hedgie image from 2 Cute Ink and coloured him with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. He comes with some fab accessories so I used the peace sign and the Peace sentiment. All the papers are from Craftartist. I have so many digi kits on there with some really pretty papers so I thought I would put them to some use. I tried my hand at paper piercing on the green paper. I hope you have all had a nice day today. I took Charlie to his little playgroup this afternoon and he enjoyed himself, he even made a little friend. He is in bed now so I thought I would jump on here and share a couple of cards with you. So here is the first one:

I have used a Forever Friends bear for this one from my Docrafts CD. I have decoupaged the little cutie to make her pop off the card a bit. The theme over at One Stop Craft Challenge is pink, green, white and an easel card so I combined that with the Sketch from Sketch Saturday to give the basis of the card. The designer papers are also from the Forever Friends CD and I have backed everything onto silver mirror card from my stash. I have added some lace from my stash and some funky Anitas ribbon. I have had loads of these ribbons for years but I never use them. But out they came and on it went. I used my petal punch punch to make the flowers and added some silver pearls for the centres and some bling flourishes. Cheers

Good Evening all,

Wow Monday already the weeks just seem to be flying by at the moment. Well I have a card to share with you this evening so I will get on with it as I have a list as long as my arms of things to do this evening. So here is the card:

Well this one is a little different to my usual cards but I am happy with how it turned out. I have used one of my new images from My Heart Pieces and coloured it with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. It took me ages to colour in and I would have never been able to do it without the Promarker ultra fine nibs that I got a little while ago. It is such a beautiful image and so well drawn though so it was a pleasure to colour. The challenge over at Sketch n Stash this time is a free choice sketch. So I got to choose from all of the fab sketches they have in their catalouge. I chose Sketch 68

All my backing papers are from a Hunkydory kit I have had for ages and just never got around to using. They are actually card and such great quality they make the card feel a little bit more special. I have embossed the red card with one of my embossing folders to give it a bit of texture and I have punched the corner of the image and the brown design card to make it a bit more interesting. The punch is a Martha Stewart corner punch. I got this along with the border punch in a sale about a year ago so I should really use them more but I forget they are in the drawer, I know thats terrible. I have added a little bit of twine to another piece of Hunkydory card and used that for the centre piece of the card. The diamond sentiment is off of one of the Hunkydory topper sheets that were also in the kit. I have put an eyelet through the top to make it into a tag and added a twine knot to it. I have then added a few buttons from my stash to embellish.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

A book for Grandma

Hi all,

Iam back to share something a little different this time. The very talented Sassy has made a few toilet roll books lately. Now I have had some toilet rolls in my crafty stash for a while now as I have seen these books made before. When I saw Sassy's lovely creations I thought I would give it a go. So here is my creation:

Here are the pages:

I have used toilet rolls as you probably guessed but I have also used all my little bits of paper from my bits and bobs drawer. Well not all of them as there is a whole drawer but it was a good use of bits. I found all the quotes off the internet and made little tags to go in each page. I have then used bits and pieces from my stash such as buttons, flowers, hearts, pearls, candi, ribbons and peeloffs to embellish.
This is going to Charlie's Grandma as she is visiting today and I did'nt give her a Mother's Day card from him as I was poorly at the time after just having my gallbladder removed. I could'nt give his Grandad a Fathers Day card knowing she did'nt get anything so I made her this. Hopefully she will like it.

Happy Birthday Quillie

Well here is my final card of the morning:

I have used Quillie the porcupine from 2 Cute Ink and coloured him with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The back and white papers are from Dovecraft and the blue paper is from my stash. I have rounded the corners of everything to give it a different look. I typed the sentiment myself and embellished the card with ribbon and buttons.

Please head over to the 2 Cute Ink  blog to see what my fellow DT members have been creating with Quillie.

Quillie for Dad

Well here is my second card of the day:

I have used Quillie the porcupine from 2 Cute Ink again for this one and this time I added the tool accessories to his hands. I have coloured quillie and the tools with Promarkers and also coloured an extra pair of hands and layered them up so that the tools are in his hands. I added Happy Fathers Day around the Dad sentiment that comes with quillie and cut both the sentiment and image out with my spellbinders dies. I have used papers from my stash for the backing and embellished with buttons, ribbon and a bow.

Good Morning all,

I hope you are all well and have some lovely plans for the weekend. I have three cards to share with you today and they are all using the same image. It is the new release Quillie the porcupine from 2 Cute Ink.

Here is my first card:

This release comes with some fab accessories and on this card I have used the Thank you sentiment and the little dandelion. I was going to put the dandelion in Quillies hands but I thought about it and decided to make a backing paper with it. I took it into Craft Artist and put them all over the paper then printed them out. I used a chalk eye ink pad to add some colour. I have coloured Quillie with my Promarkers and backed him on some silver mirror card. The other papers are from my stash as is all the lace and ribbon. I added a paper doilie that I bought from ebay and a little bow and some pearls from my local craft warehouse.

Bringing a little sunshine

Morning everyone,

Another horrible day here today so I thought I would bring you some summer in the form of a card. So here it is:

I have used the fab crab image and sunshine and cloud images from bugaboo and taken them into Craft Artist to make a little summer scene. Once printed out I coloured them with my lovely limited edition summer Promarkers plus a few other summer colours. The backing papers are little bits I have had left from other creations. I backed everything on silver mirror card. I have added some tiny little shells and a starfish I have had for years. I stuck on some little bits of ribbon that were in my not sure if I will ever use these bag. Then added some candi. The sentiment is another handtyped one.

Rupert Bear

Good Afternoon all,

I hope you are all well and enjoying your Wednesday. I have been so busy today this is the first time I have sat down. I took the dogs for a nice walk this morning and then went back to the post office which thankfully was open today. Fathers day cards posted I set off back home to start on the housework while Charlie had his nap. We then went to a new play group session at the local Surestart centre. I have to say silly as it sounds I was really nervous. I hate walking into a room full of strangers but I forced myself to do it for Charlie's sake. It was ok a few people spoke to me and Charlie enjoyed himself until he fell over and bashed his head on a bike right at the end. I think I may go back next week. This evening I am off out to the cinema with a good friend of mine. Hopefully Charlie will be good for his Daddy. Anyway enough of my waffling I do have a card to share so here it is:

My other halfs Dad loves Rupert Bear, he has loads of the annuals so I thought this would be perfect for his Fathers Day card. The card comes as a printout from a create and craft website thingy. I printed all the layers onto card and set to work cutting everything out. It was a bit tricky sticking it all together but I got there in the end. I added some extra decoupage bits to the front and cut out DAD from a letter sheet that came with the printout. I then stuck some string to the kite and Rupert and then used peeloffs to add Happy Fathers Day. Luckily he is visiting on Saturday as I have no idea how I would have posted this one.

Anyway I am off to do some washing and will hopefully be back tomorrow with another card to share.

I bring you Ice Cream

Well I have made it to the last card without little man waking up and disturbing me so here it is:

I have used the cute little turtle from 2 Cute Ink I don't think he is in the shop at the moment but I know Heidi is in the process of adding new stamps so keep an eye out to see if he appears and there are lots of other super cute images over there to keep you busy. He was perfect for my summer themed card as he has Ice Cream mmmmm my Favourite. Although I am terrible if I have ice cream as I could easily eat a whole pot in one sitting tut tut.  I have coloured him with my Promarkaers and Flexmarkers. I have used my big Canadian paper pad again. I kept going back to it today but it suited all my cards and there are so many differnt papers in it, it is just fab. I hand typed a sentiment and added some faux stitching to that and the image. I then set to embellishing and found some perfect flowers in my flower box and a little tag in my odds and ends box. I have no idea where the tag came from but it looked ok so on it went. I finished the card with some buttons, candi, gems and a bow.

Splish Splash

Ok so here is my second card of the evening:

I have used the super little mermaid image from Bugaboo Stamps for this card. I have coloured her with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers and then done a little bit of paper piecing with glittery paper on her tail. I have used craft glaze over the tail but it is so shiny anyway you can't really see it. I used my Spellbinders to cut the ovals for her to sit on or should I say swim in. The patterned papers are from my big Canadian paper pad and the plain blue card is from my stash. I used an embossing folder and a blue chalk ink pad to give it a bit more life. I cut all the little triangles for the bunting and added FOR YOU with peeloffs and a little pearl on each. I found some shiny string type stuff in my ribbon drawer so I used that as the string for the bunting and fixed it at the ends with some tiny buttons. I used some lace, ribbons and some more shiny string for the bottom of the card and added a bow. I then added some more pearls and buttons to finish it off.

Oh well at least it gave me some exercise and Charlie enjoyed himself. right I have three cards to share with you this evening and then I have to get to work on my last Fathers Day card of the year woohoo. So here is the first card:

I have used a cute car image from my Forever Friends CD for this one as the theme over at Charisma Cardz is travel. All the papers are from a big scrapbook pad that I got when I was in Canada a good few years ago now. I have added some lace and ribbon from my stash and some candi and Pearls. I then rummaged in my flower box and found these little plastic flowers which worked perfectly with the papers I had used so I added a little pearl to each centre and stuck them on.

I have used another Bugaboo Stamps image for this one and coloured it again with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The papers are from a Dovecraft Back to Basics pad and I hand typed both the sentiments. I backed everything on silver mirror card from my stash. I embellished with some lace, ribbon, bows, buttons, Candi, Pearls and a little metal star charm. Ballerina Birthday

Good evening all,

What a horrible day it has been weather wise I mean, it has been raining again all day. I was hoping to go shopping today to look for a Fathers Day gift for Charlie to give his Daddy but I did'nt make it. Hopefully it will be dry tomorrow and I can go then. Well I have two cards for you this evening so here is the first:

I have used the cute Ballerina image from Bugaboo Stamps and coloured her with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. All the papers are from my big scrapbook pad that I have been using lots of recently. These ones are ballet themed although you can't really see that in the picture. I have used the ice cream colours theme from this weeks Allsorts challenge and matched it with the sketch from Catch the Bug. I have hand typed both the sentiments and backed everything on some gold embossed card. The butterflies are punched with a Martha Stewart punch and I have added gems and pearls as a trail. The flowers and leaves are Prima Charme Rose Song Bird, they are lovely flowers even if I do say so myself. I have then added a little bow and some more pearls to finish off.

What a Bloomer

Good evening all,

I hope you have had a good weekend and that you got some sunshine today. It was warm here this morning so Charlie and I went for a little wander which I think tired me out more than him but never mind. I have a little card to share with you this evening so here it is:

This card did start off with a different image but boy did I mess up the colouring, it looked as if Charlie had coloured it in for me. The colours bled into eachother and pretty much everywhere else so I scrapped that one and started again with this lovely bear from Bugaboo Stamps. I have used Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour it and luckily I managed to keep them in the lines this time. The red background paper was a freebie Christmas paper from a magazine, The polka dot paper is a printout from my Forever Friends CD and the checked paper is one I have had in my stash for years. I hand typed the sentiment and backed everything with silver mirror board. I added some lace, a red ribbon and some little buttons.

Loved to the Moon and back

Good Evening all,

I am going to keep it short tonight as I am so tired. It has been a very long week and Charlie seem's to have hit the terrible two's before he has even turned one. Anyway I have a little card to share with you so here it is:

I have used the fab Baby Panda image from 2 Cute Ink you can find him Here. I have coloured him with My Promarkers and then cut around him and stuck him on to some vellum with some pinflair to lift him up a bit. The background papers are from a Dovecrafts Back to Basics pad and I have used some good ole silver mirror board for all my matting and layering. Both of the sentiments were handtyped by me. I have then embellished with some ribbon, Candis, Pearls, Buttons and a bow.

I will hopefully be back tomorrow with some more cards for you if I can stay awake.

Chomp's Pick of the Bunch

Well I have another card for you and this one gave me a bit of trouble as it just would'nt go right.

Here it is:

I was lucky enough to win this little guy from Paper Makeup Stamps. His name is chomps, I have coloured him with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The green paper and Kraft card are from my stash and after much playing I decided to make this one an easel card. I used a handtyped sentiment and made it into a tag adding some string and a little rose. I have used more of my natural ribbon as the easel stopper. The bling was one embellishment but I cut it up as it was a bit big and put it on the top and bottom part of the card. I then added some paper flowers and leaves and a ribbon to finish.

For a Golfer Grandad

Good Evening all,

Has the weather been as rubbish for you today as it has been for me, it has been raining all day. But never mind I used this as my excuse to stay in and get some cards done. So when Charlie had his naps that is what I did. Here is my first creation:

The theme at Sweet Stampin is use a favourite stamp. Well I sat for ages looking through all my stamps and just could'nt decide , so I chose favourite images ( Precious Moments) I hope that is ok. I have used these images for years and they are so cute and very easy to colour. For this card I have used the little golfer boy and coloured him with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I have used papers from a Dovecraft paper pad and some gold card from my stash. Both the sentiments were handtyped. I have embellished with Buttons, Candi, Natural Ribbon, Gold Peeloff Stars and a Metal Star Charm that has been coloured with a Promarker.

I only have one more Fathers Day card to do now woohoo.

Here Fishy Fishy

And my last post of the evening as I am starting to get square eyes and it's another Fathers Day card I only have another two to do after this yay.

I have used the fab new image Ricky from Tiddly Inks and coloured him with my Promarkers. I have used papers from a Dovecraft pad and some brown card stock from my stash. The sentiments are hand typed and yes that does say Grandalf. Charlie's Grandad said that is what he would like to be called when Charlie was born and it has kind of stuck. I added faux stitching to the image and the sentiments as they looked a little plain. I added some string and more of my natural ribbon, yep I still love the stuff. I also found a little metal fish charm which worked perfectly with the fishy theme so I added that to.

Tag to a Card

Well here is my third creation and I am so proud of this one:

The challenge over at Cupcake Craft This week is Make a Tag. I never make tags so I thought I would give it a go. I printed out my fab new image from Bugaboo Stamps and set to work with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I then raided my paper cupboard for the blue paper, it's one from a big pack that I got from Canada. I cut the tag shape myself. I had a rummage through the ribbon drawer and found the yellow ribbon and the blue and yellow polka ribbon. I could'nt decide what to use so I used both and made them into a bow. I then added some pearls and the little shells which I have had for years.

Then I thought to myself what am I going to do with a tag and the only thing I could think was to add it to a card. I raided the paper cupboard again and found some matching papers, these are from the same pad. Then added some more ribbon and some lace from my stash, some Candi, some buttons and some more pearls. I handtyped a sentiment and on that went. I also found a starfish while searching for the shells and it really wanted to be on the card so I pulled a thread off one of my ribbons and used it to tie the starfish on. It works well as you can't really see the thread but the starfish moves.

Anyway I hope you like this one as much as I do.

Forever For The Boy

Well here is my second card of the evening:

I have gone back to my trusty old Forever Friends CD for this one. My poor CD'S have been pushed aside a bit as I am really enjoying my colouring at the moment. But when I saw the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday was Planes, Trains and Automobiles I went straight to this image. I have used the Red, White and Blue colour theme for this one and have added lots of little jewels in the same colours. I have also added some ribbon and Candi and finished off with a metal sentiment.

Happy Christmas from Me to You

Good Evening all,

I hope you have all had a lovely long weekend and if you were celebrating today that you had a great time. We went for a little wander into our village, where they were having a street party. We could'nt stay for long though as Mister Grumpy also known as Charlie had not slept all morning so he was not in the best of moods. At least we went down so I suppose thats the main thing. I have a few cards waiting to be shared with you so I shall start and see how far I get. I may have to share the rest tomorrow. Well here is the first:

It's the monthly Holiday challenge over at Sassy Studio Designs and this month they wanted to see gold or silver. I chose silver and what better image to use than a Tatty Teddy. The papers are all from my stash and I have used some Candi, Ribbon and a metal sentiment.

Happy Birthday Sister

Good Morning all,

What a night little man is poorly with a virus and has had me up since 3:45am so I am you might say a little bit tired. He is asleep now bless him and will hopefully stay that way long enough for me to share this card with you.

I have used a super cute image from Bugaboo Stamps and coloured it with my old favs yep you guessed it Promarkers. The colouring did'nt go aswell as I would have hoped on this one but it is ok so it will have to do. I have used lots of random papers from my stash. I have had the text paper for years, gosh I think nearly 8 years as it was a pressie from my Aunty not long after I started card making. I have then used some bling and pearls to jazz it up a bit. Shes a very Jazzy girl my lil Sis. I have added one of my new ribbon flowers. I was'nt sure about these when I bought them but I think it works well with this card and as the theme over at LEJ is ribbons galore I added some more ribbon to the card. I finished the card with two little red buttons as it just needed something else. Now it is all ready to pop in the post.

Tiny Turtle

Here is my second DT card for 2 Cute Ink:

This little cutie is available today from 2 Cute Ink so go grab it. I have coloured it with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I have used the sketch from this weeks challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's and have gone for the colour theme of Purple, Green and Yellow. I have no idea what it is with me at the moment but I seem to be in a mix strange colours mood. I think it works ok though. The stamp is from my win over at Creative Inspirations, it arrived yesterday so I had to have a play to see what it was like and it's pretty fab. The papers are from Dovecraft Back to Basics and my stash. I have also used some lace and ribbon that I have had for a while. The flowers were from my bulk buy at the local craft warehouse.

Please head over to 2 Cute Ink's Blog to see what my fellow DT members have created.
