I have a love/hate relationship with my blog... as you've probably noticed. Some people are so on the ball about posting about their lives, and I am just so not in the mood :). But today I'll do a little journaling... for posterity's sake :).
I've been graduated from college for 8 months now, and I've been having a hard time finding my purpose. I have always gone to school or had a job my whole life, and so now I am out of my element. It has gotten better as my kids have gotten a little older and more interactive, but for a while I felt a little lost. I didn't have any substantial evidence that I was accomplishing anything... no grades and no paycheck.
But life is still good. I am really grateful that I can stay home with my children. That is an opportunity some women don't have, so I know that I am lucky. And on to a brighter subject, I have really learned to love being a stay at home mom!
My kids crack me up. Ethan is really learning to talk, and not just for me to understand! He is OBSESSED with trains, loves to jump on the couch and the bed and the floor... anywhere, and he hates hates hates going to bed. You would think that after 2 1/2 years of sleeping, he would go down without throwing a fit, but he continues to surprise me. Lyvi has really come into her personality lately and man she is a fireball! She knows exactly what she wants and it doesn't matter what you do or say, she is going to get her way. She refuses to be spoon fed. She likes to have solid food in front of her to pick up herself and eat. She is crawling and pulling herself up on everything, and she loves to be hung upside down by her feet. She laughs and laughs.
Here is a couple of pictures I've snapped lately because I've been trying to figure out my new camera and my only guinea pigs are my kids :)
Also, my little brother Brandon got married over the weekend, and his wedding was beautiful! Here's him and his gorgeous new wife, Ali. Love them!
And now I babysit two adorable girls that are pretty much my kids' ages, so I have 4 kids under the age of 3 about 35 hours a week :). It's crazy sometimes but lots of fun! There's never a dull moment I'll tell you that.
And of course I love this guy
That's all for now!! I have high hopes of being back soon...
