This Old House
Finally! We bought our little house on Del Mar Dr. It took 3 long years but we finally did it on August 29th. Hooray! It is a modest house and about 50 years old but it will do for our family of 5 and we are so happy to be permanent residents of this neighborhood! I thought is was in great shape but as soon as those papers were signed I had an instant mile-long list of things that need to be done right away! Even with all of the work ahead it feels good to call it ours! Now Brandon and Preston will have to find something new to bug and tease us about! I am sure it won't take them very long.

The First Day of School For E and G
August 27 2007
E-man started 2nd grade at Upland Terrace! His teacher is Mrs. Schmidt but likes to be called Schmidter! He loves it and is doing very well!

September 5 2007
Gavin is in kindergarten! He is at Eastwood Elementary school and his teacher's name is Mrs. Landro. He has 6 kids in his class! He will probably be moved along with the other kids in a couple of weeks because Granite School District does not want to pay a teacher for such a small class. His new teacher will be Mrs. Lund.

Twas the night before school started, When all through the town, The parents were cheering. It was a riotous sound!By eight, kids were washed And tucked into bed...When memories of homework...filled them with dread! New pencils, new folders, new notebooks, too! New teachers, new friends...their anxiety grew! The parents just giggled when they learned of this fright And shouted upstairs-...GO TO BED-IT'S A SCHOOL NIGHT!

Lorna Keller Reunion
August 25 2007
Katie and Grandma____ Katie, Eman & The Gav
Jim found the red coat of arms for the Keller name. I found the yellow, blue and joker crests. I like the blue one but the Joker may be more appropriate for our family! Anyway, take your pick or see if you can find another version.

Huntington Canyon
August 24 2007
We spent the day up Hunnington Canyon 4 wheeling and fishing. Grandpa, Ryan, and Brandon were in charge of the boating and Darrin head up the 4 wheeler rides. Austin was the one that wanted to ride the 4 wheelers the most! He just couldn't get enough!

Darrin, Eman and Gav. _ Bryan took a quick nap on the back.

Price Rec PicNic
August 23 2007
As part of our summer traveling vacation we went to price to carry on the party. On Thursday we went up Price Canyon for a little dinner and mountain air.
Nick and Katie are so darn cute!
It was Austin's very first M&M courtesy of Aunt Jessie! But what happened to the whole melt in your mouth not in your hands claim?
Boys and sticks go hand in hand and every once in a while in an eye!
S'more's are all part of the fun of being in the woods! Austin had his first s'more today too!

Who's yo Grand-Daddy?
August 21 2007
One Hansen, two Hansen, three Hansen more? Martin Hansen Eathan and Gavin and Katie's 3rd great grandfather discovered the Hansen Cave, the first of three caves up TimpanogosMountain in 1887. The story says that he was cutting wood and found mountain lion tracks that he followed to the cave. Martin's son and grandson discovered the middle cave in 1921. Marin was with them and he was 73 years old.

Can you see the family resemblance? Martin Hansen and his great great great grandson Eathan Hansen. E-man made sure that our tour guide knew his name was Hansen too and that they were realted!

The hikers included: Darrin, Jessie, Eathan, Gavin, Katie(ride-a-long), Preston, Ryan, Heidi, Austin(ride-a-long), Brandon, Andrea, Brook, Tyler, Nick(ride-a-long) and Andrea's brother John. It was quite the crew and we had tons of fun.

All of us enjoyed the tour given to us by the best tour guide ever, Nancy! She had all of us enthralled with the entire story and we all hung on her every word.

Let's go swimming!
August 20 2007
We made a day of trying to find somewhere to swim. At the time there was a parasite going around the public swimming pools and so it was a little scary going at all but PK assured us that "they" had to be on top of the problem because of all of the publicity. So we embarked on our journey and of course it took some plan changing and venue reassigning before we found a spot to land at around noon or so. The Murray pool was fun although the slide was not working that day for whatever reason. It was a fun swim trip and it was Katie's first swim ever! Just as we were leaving everyone got kicked out because some kid mistook the pool for the bathroom and we are talking #2 here! 2 weeks later the Utah Health Department banned all children under 5 from any pool including condo and private clubs because "they" could not put a stop to the parasite problem, or as I like to call it "the scroungy little kids that poop in the pool problem!"

After lunch we moved on to the slides at Classic Skating and were joined by Doug and Ashton.

"Why do they call it Strawberry?"
August 18 2007
Uncle Ryan planned a fun family get together at his favorite hang out, Strawberry Reservoir. Elisa and Jessie wondered why it was called Strawberry and decided that it must be because strawberries grow there, although it doesn't seem like anything can grow there.
This life jacket cannot be safe! Katie and Nick took turns being tortured by this so called life perservor - poor babies!

It was a super fun day of boating and picnicking. Almost everyone made it there, and that is nothing to sneeze at because there is an awful lot of Keller's! The pantoon boat was a big hit with the kids and the uncles were good sports for taking them all out to fish.

Gavin got plum tuckered out. Ryan gave all of the kids a turn at "driving" the "party barge".

Uncle Ryan the Captain of the ship. That is one full load of young'ens!

Katie and Austin made good use of there time back at camp, yes that is little Austin under that blanket of many colors.
