Life in June

Life was super crazy busy for me.  I spent the first weekend in California for a wedding for Hillary and Gabe followed by a super crazy week.  My entire basement flooded in Sugar House and I was left without a bedroom for an entire week.  I moved everything out of the room and slept a few different places that week.  That weekend was spent putting the room and house back together.  The following weekend I left for Portland to visit Brian and Jackie and meet the newest Emmett baby Robert aka Bobby.  I felt very blessed to visit these two states and make it to both temples in the area.

Lent and Some resoulations

We are two months into 2010 and I haven't really been able to grasp this whole new year yet. I wrote a few thoughts on what I wanted to accomplish but I think everyday I need to be working towards them.

A Surprise Dinner Party

This year I decided it would be so cool to throw a dinner party for my newest best friend in Utah. This girl is amazing and such a huge blessing in my life. Two weeks before the dinner I started to track down as many old and new friends. Without even considering this could be a lot of work. The best part is that I was able to keep it a surprise. I talk to Anna almost everyday and see her a few times a week and never spoiled my own surprise. We skied Deer Valley the day before and had the perfect day with weather and snow. I had 30 guest RSVP with a few last minute cancel so it was dinner for 22 friends. The food was yummy with special help from Betty and my parents. So lucky my parents are cool and don't mind sharing their home with others.
