Sept 2012 Timetable (updated 14/9)
Subject Registration


GENTLE REMINDER! Subject registration is on WEDNESDAY, 19/9/2012 and THURSDAY, 20/9/2012. The Business Department will be closed on Friday, 21/9/2012 (the whole day). The staff are away for a workshop. Classes will commence immediately on Monday, 24/9/2012. Please note that attendance will be taken beginning on Monday, 24/9/2012. 

When you register your subjects either on Wednesday, 19/9/2012 or Thursday, 20/9/2012, please tick the correct subjects. Check the link below for the subject offering. Subject registration forms can be obtained at the Front Counter, Business Department. Please fill in the relevant details and tick the correct subjects. I will sign the subject registration form and return to you. Please proceed to A&B to register and receive your invoice for fee payment.


IMPORTANT! Fees must be paid in FULL on or before MONDAY, 1ST OCTOBER 2012. After this deadline, a penalty will be charged. Please check page 2 of the subject registration form for more information.

August Resit Timetable

Please note that the deadline for the submission of the resit assignments has been extended to TUESDAY, 7TH AUGUST 2012, 5.00PM. Failing to hand up your assignments by the deadline will result in a FAIL grade. 

Please refer to the link below for the Resit Exam time-table. Only students who have registered officially and made payment will be allowed to resit the exams. Students who are required to sit for the resits but fail to do so, will result in a FAIL grade for the respective exams. This may affect your progression to the next level. 


New Semester and Academic Calendar

Dear all,

Please see the link below for the Academic Calendar 2012-2013. You are required to return to KDU to register for your next semester's subjects from
WEDNESDAY, 19TH SEPTEMBER 2012 - FRIDAY, 21ST SEPTEMBER 2012. Please settle your semester fees within the first week of the new semester. Failing which, you may not be allowed to attend classes.

IMPORTANT! The classes will commence immediately on MONDAY, 24TH SEPTEMBER 2012. If you fail to return within the first week of classes and settle the semester fees by then, you will automatically be deferred to the next semester. Keele University is also very strict with regards to registering for the new semester. All dates on the Academic Calendar 2012-2013 are final. Please take note of the exam dates for both semester assessments and re-assessments.

Time-table for the new semester will be out in September.

Dear all,

By now you would have received your results for the February 2012 semester.  Keele University has sent out your progression status for students progression to Year 2 and Year 3.  Please check your progression status carefully.  You may have received one of the following advisement:

SATIS - PASSED ALL MODULES
PROCA - CAN PROGRESS TO EITHER YEAR 2 OR YEAR 3 BUT MUST CLEAR FAILED MODULES
VAC - CANNOT PROGRESS TO EITHER YEAR 2 OR YEAR 3; MUST CLEAR FAILED MODULES FIRST
RPT - MUST REPEAT IN FULL OR RETRIEVE FAILURE OF MODULES.  YOU HAVE TO INFORM KEELE UNIVERSITY WHICH OPTION YOU HAVE CHOSEN BY THE DEADLINE GIVEN IN THE EMAIL.  FAILING WHICH, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO WITHDRAW FROM THE PROGRAMME
WDA - REQUIRED TO WITHDRAW FROM KEELE UNIVERSITY PROGRAMME

All appeals must be directed to Keele University as per email given to you.  Please do not send your appeals to me.  You may copy me in your appeal so that I am aware that you have made an appeal. 

Please see the link below for your progression status.  Students whose names are not on the list have received SATIS and can progress successfully to Year 2 or Year 3.


Please note that Keele University is very strict about progression rules.  All students have only THREE (3) attempts per module - your first sitting (first attempt), first resit (second attempt) and second resit (third attempt). If you are required to take a resit and failed to do so, it is considered a 'FAIL'.

Failed modules for the February 2012 semester will be re-assessed in August 2012. You must register for the re-assessments.  You can collect your resit assignments from the front counter after you have made payment.  The resit exams will be held between 13th August 2012 - 17th August 2012.  Failed modules for the September 2012 and if you have failed the April 2012 resits, the next available re-assessment period for assignments is September 2012 and the resit exams will be in January 2013.

Dear all,

FOR MALAYSIAN STUDENTS ONLY!

Please ensure you register and take the MPW Compulsory subjects - Malaysian Studies AND Moral Studies (for non-Muslims), Islamic Studies (for Muslims) and Bahasa Kebangsaan A (exempted if you have a credit for SPM BM).

Please check at the Front Desk, Business Department when the next session for the MPW subjects are starting. If you fail to complete the MPW subjects before you graduate, you will not be allowed to collect your degree certificate and graduate.
