Weekend recap

Saturday morning before our busy day I did a quick photo session with Chloe for her 5 month pics. I put her in this cute summer outfit from Mimi but the funny thing is that it was sweater weather outside that day.

Oh I love this sweet girl

See sweater weather...Our niece and my goddaughter MacKenzie received her first Holy Communion Saturday morning. This is with her godfather Jeff. I felt under dressed but I can't wear dresses right now with nursing.

And she loves her Whoawy. Chloe wore a dress for Mac and Tins that day too.

A selfie with my girl

After lunch with the family we raced home to change clothes and then Coop, Chloe and I went to a birthday party for one of Cooper's friends.

Saturday night Kyle wasn't feeling well and thought he had strep. Our plans for Sunday were church then Six Flags as a family. But Kyle got up and went to carenow and found out it wasn't strep but he did have an infected sore/ulcer in his mouth so instead we spent the day at home.

We didn't go to church but instead prayed a rosary together. Chloe used her chewy rosary from Aunt Lala and Uncle John.

We prayed the rosary with the help of a cd and the boys initially were distracted watching the timer as we made our way through.  It wasn't our most prayerful rosary but I am hoping to do this once a week. I want to take a more active role in developing my kids faith.  It takes less than 20 minutes. My goal is for us to get better at sitting still the entire time and being more prayerful.

Then we spent a lot of time outside throughout the day.

Kyle cut a path on the back of our lot for the septic and left the rest. The boys had the best time playing 'hunters' back there and finding rabbits *no animals were hurt...much to the boys dismay*

We ended the afternoon with a water balloon fight before dinner and showers. Just the first of many this summer thanks to those bunch o balloons that we love.

Chloe watched from the safety of the stroller though one balloon popped near it and got the bottom of the stroller all wet.

Mother's day didn't go as planned but I spent it with my babies and that is what is important.

Life lately

Our weeks have been crazy but as usual it is represented by lots of Chloe pictures because she is so darn cute and obliges (don't have a choice) to my pictures.

Our girl rolls over occasionally but still not consistently. I am in no rush for her to grow up but I wouldn't mind her hitting this milestone already.

#milkdrunk I nursed her before bed in our bed and couldn't resist this picture before putting her in bed.

Last week was teacher appreciation week and this was Cooper's note to his teacher. Casen also wrote a sweet one  but I didn't get a picture of it. I am so impressed with Casen's writing lately and really need to take some pictures. He often asks me how to spell words.

Cute girl dressed for this pretty Texas spring weather

She has a frown in this picture but is still so darn cute.

Tuesday night Casen, Chloe and I went to his kinder round-up. I got the time mixed up and we were 30 minutes early so we took some pictures in the car.

Oh Chloe. I bet I see that face a lot in the future.

Casen was so excited to check out the gym. He can't wait for PE.

Hanging out with mommy one morning while I got ready.

Cooper just loves his little sister. Though there have been times lately where he gets annoyed with his big brother role.

I wanted a good picture of this onesie but she wanted to be on her tummy to play.

This is the proof of Casen's pre-k graduation pictures. I think he looks a lot like me at this age.

Talking to the birds at daycare

And wearing a sleeper that both of her brothers wore.

And a collage of all 3 of them. Too bad you can't see sweet Casen's face.

On Friday we had muffins with mom at school.

I took this picture because Chloe's bald spot is filling it. It looks completely gone but that is the angle because it is still visible in person.

And she loves looking at the baby in the mirror after bath.

Weekend recap

Last weekend Chloe finally wore these cute Christmas pjs my mom got her.  They were size 0-6 months (huge range that makes no sense) and definitely weren't fitting our peanut back then. So Christmas in May it is :)

Saturday morning I nursed, pumped, and was wide awake while the rest of my house was still quiet so I decided to go on a quick walk.

We have several bunnies that hang around our house and I caught this one in motion

Then it was back home to snuggle on this rainy day.

I tried to get a picture of Chloe in her oufit with a mickey hat but she wasn't a fan of the hat.

Then she got dressed in summer clothes when it warmed up that afternoon.

Oh those cheeks are edible!

We decided to spend some time outside and the boys said there were some girls driving around selling pink lemonade but they didn't stop them because they didn't have any money. So Chloe and I went to walk around the neighborhood. Cooper said 'I really don't want to wear my helmet' and since the rule is he has to wear a helmet on his motorized scooter he stayed behind but Casen joined us. By the time we got to the end of the street we saw the girls and I told them if they would come back to our house they could sell 2 cups of lemonade. They followed Casen back to the house on his bike.

When I got to the house I heard Cooper say 'come here Casen. Hurry and I will help you take your helmet off.'  And then I hear him say 'Casen just get my lemonade for me' and then I caught this picture.  Its like they are 12 and 14. Casen is my outgoing fearless one, Cooper is my hesitant shy one. #doubletrouble

I told Cooper he had to get his own and I asked the girls if I could take a picture.

The girls were so sweet and the boys kept talking about the girls after they left. #imnotready #babiesdontkeep

We spent more time outside and this girl loved it. But she scooted herself right of the playmat and didn't love that.

Then Babi came and picked up all 3 for a slumber party so Kyle and I could have a night out with friends. Grandaddy was happy to see his baby girl.

We decided to do a little progressive dinner/bar hopping with David and Jen in Fort Worth.

Our first stop was Chuy's since it was Cinco de mayo. Margaritas, Mexican beer, and queso!

Then we had a drink at another place but didn't take a picture.

Then Kung Fu or something like that for another drink and I ordered cheeseburger eggrolls that were DELICIOUS! I have been thinking about them since.

Me and my bestie!

They had lots of different outdoor games that we didn't play but we did ride the seesaw for a few minutes.

Then it was time for dessert at cinnaholic which was on shark tank. It was super yummy.

We were home and in bed by 11:30 which is early for a night out but perfect for these tired parents.

The next morning we got this picture of Chloe all dressed up for church.

Then in her comfy clothes after church

And watching Cooper decorate his pancakes.

Then I drove to Ennis and met my parents, the kids, and Melisa with her kids at Whataburger for lunch.  Everyone was excited to squeeze on Chloe.

After lunch we met at the church for a youth group activity to do a crowning of Mary.

Even Chloe participated

Afterwards we got to go get snow cones and Chloe sure would have liked to take Tracen up on his offer to share. He loves his Whoawy

When we got home we spent more time outdoors including Kyle setting up this rack and organizing the kids stuff out of boxes.

And sweet girl had another outfit change. I switched around some laundry and came back to this. She scoots and bucks on her back to get where she wants to be.

It was a really nice spring weekend.
