39 weeks

Nov 27th

How Far Along: 39 Weeks (97.5% done!) 1 week to go!

Size of baby: watermelon (19-22 inches long, 7lbs)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 28.2 lbs gained

Maternity Clothes: all maternity clothes now

Gender: Baby Girl – Chloe Marie Cline

Movement: She still moves a lot and like to do this rolling thing that is a very weird sensation

Sleep: toss, turn, snore, pee, repeat

What I miss: sleeping on my stomach I can’t wait to do that again!

Cravings: Lots of sweets lately- ice cream, cookies, brownies, candy, cake, I’ll take it all

Symptoms: Braxton hicks, pelvic pain especially if I have been sitting or lying down for a while, lower back pain, sore/achy body and some swelling at the end of the day. A nice hot bath each evening is helpful. I realized that I haven’t had any Charlie horses/leg cramps this time which is nice.

Best Moment this week: Just enjoying thanksgiving as a family and getting ready for Chloe’s arrival. We went black Friday shopping, I got a pedicure, and Melisa and I took the kids to Six Flags. Also due to my snoring the boys have been taking turns sleeping with mommy in the big bed. And then Kyle sleeps in the empty boy’s bed. They are loving it. And I like having a bed buddy.

I can't wait: for December 1st. 4 more sleeps!!

Yesterday I had my last checkup before the induction. I am only measuring 35 weeks so I assume that is because she has dropped so low. My blood pressure was good and her heartrate was 152. But I am only dilated to a 1 and still thick. Therefore I feel pretty sure she won’t come on her own before the 1st. The doctor offered an induction on Friday but I declined. I like Saturday so that family doesn’t have to take off and worry about missing it.

The lack of progress makes me glad I am being induced because I didn’t want to go too late and too close to Christmas. HOWEVER, I really didn’t want to be induced. I kept hoping she would come on her own before then. I just really wanted to wait until the 4th or so to see if she would come. But waiting until the 11th when the doctor is back in town to induce sounded too long and too close to Christmas. I am a little nervous that Saturday will be a long day. I would just love for it to be one of those check in and have that girl here 4 hours later. But you know what sometimes that build up and anticipation is just as much fun too. So I will pray for patience and peace as we approach the 1st.

I ordered the chair cover, setup the monitor, ordered the base, and have all of the stuff gathered for our bags (just not in them to prevent wrinkles). My goal tonight is to hang the décor and finish thank you notes. I don’t have that many left but I am just avoiding them.

38 Weeks

Nov 20th

How Far Along: 38 Weeks (95% done!) 2 weeks to go!

Size of baby: swiss chard (19-22 inches long, 6.5lbs)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 25.8lbs gained

Maternity Clothes: all maternity clothes now

Gender: Baby Girl – Chloe Marie Cline

Movement: My girl is back to moving and shaking which always makes me happy

Sleep: The last two nights I have been up for 2-3 hours around 1am uncomfortable, nauseous, and some contractions. But mostly toss, turn, snore, pee, repeat

What I miss: enjoying my winter/fall maternity clothes

Cravings: Still cravings sweets. I bought snickers ice cream bars last week and eat on each night.

Symptoms: Braxton hicks, lower back pain, sore/achy body and some swelling at the end of the day. My face is looking rounder and so is my belly. I am just pretty darn tired by the end of the day. I have been taking a bath each night and soaking plus using the heating pad on my lower back in the evenings.

Best Moment this week: We got more done this weekend to get ready for our girl. Bassinet is put together, everything is washed and organized. I have identified way too many swaddles and headbands/bows for the hospital. It is really hard not knowing what will fit her little head. So I am overpacking
J  I need to actually gather the stuff for my bag and her stuff is laid out in her crib but not actually stuffed in a bag yet. Last night the boys painted the canvas’ for her wall so we will try to hang those tonight along with a few more things. Also Kyle painted the table a nice neutral cream color.  We also cleaned out the car and moved around carseats then installed Chloe’s base.

Linda came to clean the house today so tonight we will get all of the Christmas bins down and start decorating. I am off work tomorrow to do that and complete more on my to-do list.

I can't wait: for December 1st. 11 more sleeps!!

Sunday night I was up for 3 hours with contractions about 6-8 min apart and I felt really nauseous. But then about 4am I fell asleep so that was that. Yesterday I had my 38 week checkup. Chloe’s heartrate was 147 and I was measuring 36.5 weeks. She has dropped down but still only fingertip dilated. After the rough night Sunday I had hope for progress. Now I am convinced she will stay snug until Dec 1st.

Angela made some personalized shirts/onesies. I found several ideas online and she recreated them for me. I love how they turned out.

These are canvas that the boys made a few years ago at a birthday party and they sit at my desk at work. I just love them and they were an inspiration for art in Chloe's room

These are the sweet canvas above her changing table. Cooper made the top left and bottom right. Casen made the other two.  I just love them!!

This is a picture of me on my wedding day with my bridesmaids. A few years after my wedding I asked my bridesmaid for their dresses if they did want them. I saved them all of these years.

Now I finally have a girl and had my granny use the bridesmaid dresses and some fabric from Hobby Lobby to make Chloe a blanket and two lovies. So special to me.

My coworker, Terri gave me this gown for Chloe but she took it back and had it personalized once we were for sure going to use the name Chloe. Isn't it gorgeous?

37 Weeks

Nov 13th

How Far Along: 37 Weeks (92.5% done!) 3 weeks to go!

Size of baby: winter melon (19-22 inches long, 6.5lbs)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 24.3lbs gained

Maternity Clothes: all maternity clothes now

Gender: Baby Girl – Chloe Marie Cline

Movement: My girl is back to moving and shaking which always makes me happy

Sleep: toss, turn, snore, pee, repeat

What I miss: enjoying my winter/fall maternity clothes

Cravings: I have been craving sweets. One day I was craving nothing bundt cakes and I got one (I actually bought 4) this weekend at a Christmas market. Casen and I also made cookies together that turned out delicious.

Symptoms: Braxton hicks and swelling at the end of the day. My face is looking rounder and so is my belly. I am just pretty darn tired by the end of the day.

Best Moment this week: Decorated and organized the nursery. Honestly we still have a lot to do like paint art for the wall, paint the table, and strip and paint the bookshelf. But if she came tomorrow I would feel good about her room. I washed her laundry and started picking what to take to the hospital. We got everything down from the attic and I went through about 15 boxes of stuff. Most of it was boy clothes that I pulled a few things I can make work for Chloe or that I want to keep and the rest will be given to family. It felt so good to tackle that big task.

We also got the old couch hauled off and got our new rug. I also put all of my fall décor away and this weekend will try to do Christmas décor. My car is also at a body shop getting the mirror fixed from the guy swiping it over a month ago. These aren’t baby related but it feels good to knock this stuff out too.

I can't wait: for December 1st. Yesterday we officially scheduled our Dec 1st induction so we have 18 sleeps or less until she gets here. I am so excited but also freaking out a little bit. I just can’t believe we are about to be a family of 5 and doing this all again.

36 Weeks

Nov 6th

How Far Along: 36 Weeks (90% done!) 4 weeks to go!

Size of baby: large cantaloupe (19-22 inches long, 6lbs)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 23.7 lbs gained

Maternity Clothes: all maternity clothes now

Gender: Baby Girl – Chloe Marie Cline

Movement: My girl is back to moving and shaking which always makes me happy

Sleep: toss, turn, snore, pee, repeat

What I miss: enjoying my winter/fall maternity clothes

Cravings: Still enjoy the same things with no specific cravings

Symptoms: Braxton hicks and some swelling but not horrible yet. Others have said I look like I have dropped. I don’t see it but I do feel like I am feeling some pressure lower.

Best Moment this week: I guess just little things as we get ready for her arrival. Dr appt went well, did some stuff in the nursery, going to try to paint the table this weekend. Need to put a second coat on the name for the wall. Need to return some of the wall flowers and repurchase.

I can't wait: Jen is coming this weekend to help me out. We will organize the nursery, put stuff up on the wall, order the pottery barn chair cover, buy our living room rug, go to a Christmas market, bring stuff down from the attic, wash baby clothes, pack bags, etc.

Next Appt 11/12

I wish I had an appointment this week because I am ready for her to start checking progress though I also know there likely isn’t any progress. Kyle and I talked last night and I think we will accept the Dec 1st induction date. Not because I am uncomfortable but because it is convenient. It is a Saturday so everyone is already off work. No shuffling the boys to school or missing school. 3 weeks before Christmas so more time to recover physically and as a family of 5. Plus less worry about my water breaking at work, at home, etc.

Next on my to-do list-

Figure out bookcase and end table

Visit pottery barn and order chair cover

Paint her wall art

Boys paint canvas for her room

Pull down stuff from attic (basinet, playmat, etc)

Doctor Appt update 11/12/18

Chloe’s heartrate was 160. I was measuring only 35 weeks when I am 36 weeks 7 days but this appt was in the morning before lunch when I usually go after lunch. They took my bloodwork and did strep B test. My cervix is still long and only fingertip dilated = no progress. We are officially set to induce December 1st .
