8 Weeks!!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 8 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby Cline is the size of a lentil bean (1/2 an inch)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 1/2 a pound overall

Maternity Clothes: Work clothes are getting tight but I use a rubber band sometimes to help instead of buttoning them.

Gender: 12 weeks until we find out
Movement: None yet, still too early

Sleep: Still restless but better.

What I miss: Hot Baths!!!! I love taking hot baths. I prefer a bath over a shower any day. I also miss liking food and being hungry.

Cravings: I had some sweet tarts earlier and wanted more. I also want guacamole (but when do I not want that)

Symptoms: I threw up 3 times this past week. All of them were in the evening and one time was after smelling a fried egg sandwich that Kyle had made. The nausea has taken away my appetite so it is chore to eat. The only time I am not nauseous is when I am asleep so I always want to sleep.

Best Moment this week: Seeing our baby and hearing the heartbeat this morning. The appt went great and we have our next one Dec 27th.

Hardest Moment this week: Throwing up, because seriously who likes that!!

I can't wait: my appetite comes back and we can see our little one again!!
Here is the picture of our little peanut!! We got to see and hear the heartbeat. The heart rate was 156 (some say is in the girl range according to wives tales but we will just have to wait and see)

Such a fun weekend!

Kyle, Ranger, Riley, and I spent last weekend in Ennis.

Friday evening we went down after work and got to spend time with my cousins Carleigh, Carsyn, and Quinn. They were spending the night at my parents house and that was part of the reason we went down Friday instead of Saturday (the other part was to get another hunt in for Kyle).

The girls were unsure about the dogs at first but Riley and Ranger loved them. Carleigh and Carsyn took turns throwing rope toys for Riley and she just loved it. She couldn't get enough and either could they. Ranger enjoyed chewing on his bone and just laying near the girls. The girls kept saying how much they loved dogs, loved playing with my dogs, and loved saying the dogs names over and over. They were very proud that they could remember which dog was a girl or boy and what their names were.

Everything was good until we got ready to go to bed and Carleigh informed me that THEY were sleeping in the big bed. My parents have two guest rooms in which one has a queen bed and one has a full. Carleigh said I couldn't sleep in the big bed because "that is where WE sleep when we stay at Aunt Joan's." I then informed her that the big bed "is where WE sleep when we stay at Aunt Joan's too!" She didn't like that and made a funny face. We settled the argument by deciding to let Kyle stay in the full bed since he was going to get up early to go hunt. Carleigh, Ranger, Riley and I stayed in the big bed which still isn't that big compared to our king but better than the full. Carsyn wanted to sleep on the couch and Quinn slept with Aunt Joan and Uncle Jeff.

We didn't sleep very well Friday night because Quinn woke up often and that woke up Ranger. Ranger kept barking when he heard the noise and he has a very loud bark so that wasn't fun. Morning came way too early but we were happy that "Aunt Joan" made us all pancakes. Then the girls spent the rest of the morning playing with Riley and Ranger and watching tv. Quinn even decided that he wanted to try throwing the rope toy and that all started Riley and Quinn being BFFs. Riley followed him all over the house and as soon as he stopped she gave him the rope to throw. What is funny is that he couldn't actually throw it so he just swung it around and dropped it but Riley thought he was the best!!! (don't you love his wild hair in the pic!)

I took an adorable video of Carleigh and Carsyn playing but I can't get it to load on here. Carsyn wanted to be a statue and Carleigh called her "Carsyn of Liberty!" Soon after playing with my camera it died so that was the end of picture taking for the weekend.

Saturday night my mom, my dad, Kyle, Melisa, and I all went to Dallas for a Las Vegas Night fund-raiser. We had so much fun and I had a lot of luck!! I think we all wanted to head to Shreveport after that little taste of gambling. We even bought some fun things from the silent auction.

Once again it was a late night. I think I went to sleep around 1am and got up at 6:30am to go to mass with my parents. Kyle was crazy and got up at 4:30 to hunt again. After church and a brief nap we went to Granny's for lunch. My Papa decided to fry a turkey they had and it was amazing!! Granny fixed all of the wonderful trimmings and we ate ourselves sick. We played some games while the boys did some work and then headed back to Fort Worth.

The weekend was a lot of fun but due to the lack of sleep Kyle and I went to sleep at 8:30 on Sunday night!

PS- This morning I actually got sick for the first time. I was getting ready for work and it was only stomach bile. Kyle said "did anything come up" and I said "only stomach bile." He then said that stomach bile still counted and I officially threw up for the first time. He seemed excited, me not so much!

5 more sleeps until we go to the doctor!!

7 Weeks!!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 7 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby Cline is the size of a blueberry

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 1/2 a pound overall (1.5 lbs this past week)

Maternity Clothes: My jeans are tight when I sit down...can you say muffin top!!

Gender: Still have 7-11 weeks until we find out but I sure am ready so I can start shopping!!

Movement: None yet, still too early

Sleep: I am sleeping a little better because I am just so tired!

What I miss: Sodas, sub sandwiches, and fitting in my clothes. I often feel very self-conscious in my clothes because right now I just feel bloated and chubby.

Cravings: This week nothing....I was sick and nothing appealed to me. The couple of times I craved something when I ate it it made me feel sick or wasn't as good as I thought.

Symptoms: Very nauseous this past week. The nausea took away my appetite so I had to make a conscious effort to eat.

Best Moment this week: Getting our first baby gift from Jodi and talking to Carsyn about me having a baby like her baby brother Quinn.

Hardest Moment this week: Being sick and not being able to show it at work. Also going into our kitchen at work during lunch. The hodgepodge of smells is horrible.

I can't wait: until our appt in 7 more sleeps!! I can't wait to check on our little one and hopefully it will all start feeling more real.

First Baby Gift!!!

Yesterday I had lunch with my college roommate Jodi and she had a surprise for me.

This is our first baby gift!! It is gender neutral and will be great for next football season!! Thank you so much Jodi!!

Then I had to share this funny picture with you. It is horrible quality because I only had time to grab my phone not my actual camera for the picture.

I gave Ranger and Riley their treats this morning before I left and this time I gave them these sausage looking things. Ranger held his in his mouth like a cigar and just held it there. It was so funny. I even told him to wait so I could go get my phone and sure enough he was still waiting with it!!
I showed Kyle the picture and he pointed out that poor Riley looks like she is in prison but that is because she can't always be trusted for long periods of time. She is just a blur because she inhaled that treat!!

Happy Friday!!

Pregnancy and Puppies

I can't believe I am pregnant. I still wake up every morning shocked. To be honest I still wait for the ball to drop. I still look for blood every time I go to the restroom. My mom still worries everytime I call and what is funny is I think I knew that because lately I haven't called my mom much. It just feels too good to be true. We have wanted this baby for so many months that now it doesn't seem real. But I am trying my best not to worry. I try to thank God every day for our blessing and just enjoy things as they happen. That being said.....

I have been sick!! Up to this point I have been a little nauseous every once in a while but nothing major. On Sunday (5wks 6days) I felt sick all day. I constantly thought I might need to run to the bathroom. It seemed if I burped I felt better (I know weird) but then every time I burped I worried that it would be more than a burp. I was hoping it was a one day thing but no luck. The nausea was still there Monday and it is still here today. I haven't thrown up yet but there are times I have to will myself not to because seriously who likes to throw up?? This has been tough because work doesn't know about the pregnancy yet (I plan to tell them after the ultrasound) so I have to hide my nausea and discomfort.

The other problem with the nausea is that nothing sounds good to eat. Even the mentioning of food sometimes makes my stomach turn. Certain smells make me leave the room holding my breath so I don't gag. I am having to make myself eat even though things don't sound good and that is tough. I have heard that morning sickness is usually gone by 12 weeks. Well I am hoping it doesn't last that long because this will be a long 6 weeks!! But again during all of this I remind myself that many women have gone through this before me and many will follow. And I will endure whatever it is to have this baby. If this is what I need to go through then bring it on (but I still look forward to the days of when I get to eat anything I want and no nausea follows those cravings!).

Then I want to share pictures of my sweet babies aka Mommy's team. This picture is funny because Ranger is just doing his thing. He has always been good at pictures. However, Riley was running around like a crazy woman but as soon as the camera came out she went and sat next to Ranger like she was posing!

Ranger and Riley are so amazing. They are spoiled rotten but I am letting them enjoy it because I know things will change when Baby Cline gets here.
Here is Ranger watching me get ready in the bathroom. My little momma's boy, he is never far from my side.

Ms. Riley with her tail constantly wagging!! Isn't she adorable!!!

This is a funny picture because Riley is such a pesky little sister. Ranger is here chewing on a toy but she is jealous and wants THAT toy despite that she just had her own toy in her mouth . So she gets real close to him and convinces him to give it up. He doesn't like her to be that close so he eventually leaves the toy and gets up. She is lucky that he is so laid back and doesn't bite her little head off!!

This is Riley looking guilty because I told her not to take his toy and I caught her in the act!!

I thought you might enjoy seeing my sweet little team!!

Baby Bedding!!

I already have the baby bedding for our baby thanks to my wonderful husband.

Last July when I was pregnant one of the first things I did was start looking at baby bedding. I always liked the idea of having something neutral for a boy or girl but I am not a huge fan of themed nurseries. When looking I came across bedding that was exactly like what I was looking for. My heart was pretty much set on it.

Then a few days later I miscarried and I thought back to that perfect bedding. Though I loved the bedding the only problem was that it was on a discount site because it had been discontinued. There was a chance that by the time I was pregnant again it would be gone. I showed the bedding to Kyle and explained my dilemma. He told me to go ahead and buy it if I loved it but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I felt like I would be jinxing our situation and to be honest I thought other people would think it was weird if I had baby bedding and no baby.

I ultimately decided not to buy it and just wait and see what happened.

Well on September 22 it was our anniversary. Kyle revealed his gift to me.

He had ordered the baby bedding that I had told him about 2 months earlier. I couldn't believe he remembered the conversation much less the specifics of the bedding to be able to order it. It was the most amazing, thoughtful gift he could have given me. It meant so much to me to open that box and see the bedding there. I loved it just as much in person!!!

It is amazing that the very next month we would find out we were having a baby. I wouldn't be the weird woman who has baby bedding and no baby : )

If our baby is a boy we will use a blue sheet and decorate in blues and greens to make it more masculine. Plus we will probably get darker furniture if it looks good because I think it will look a little more gender neutral. Obviously if it is a girl we will bring out more pinks and red colors. If it is twins we may be in trouble but to be honest I don't think we will have twins and so far there are still some sets for sale.

I have so many fun ideas for the nursery but for now we will have to wait and see if we are having a boy or girl.

Our Weekend

Friday night Kyle and I spent the evening with David and Jen. We went to Hobby Lobby, Chick-fil-@, and to the new movie theater to see Due Date. The movie theater was cool because when you bought your tickets at the credit card machine it told you the percentage of tickets that still remained so you will be able to tell how full the theater is or how close it is to being sold out. I thought it was a cool feature. The movie had funny parts but I didn't love it. It definitely had slow points and I caught myself dozing off at one point. I will blame that on the pregnancy since it was only 8:45.

Saturday Kyle and I ran errands. We went to Old N*vy where we got great deals because I had a 30% off coupon!! Then we wandered around B*bies R Us. At first it was kind of overwhelming but it was surprising how quickly Kyle and I agreed on things. I reassured him that I would bring my mom and/or his mom to help when we actually register. I can see Kyle convincing me not to get a lot of stuff because "we don't need it."

Then we went by the North Hills h*spital to take a quick tour. I had heard good things about the hospital being small and intimate and because I was considering doctors I thought it might be a good idea to see if I like it. If we did like it then we could find a doctor that delivered there and I could switch since I am still early in my pregnancy. The hospital was nice but again a bit overwhelming. The moment quickly passed and I think it was nice for both of us to hear the quick version of how things would work. Though we liked the hospital for various reasons we have decided against delivering there.

We then watched the TCU game at Larry and Susan's since we were in the area and Larry loves TCU so it is fun to watch games with him. After TCU won the game (though not by as much as they should have) we headed to pick up a pizza and spend the evening at home.

Sunday we went to church, the grocery store, and did laundry. It was a nice lazy day.

*Tomorrow I will share with you our adorable bedding and the story behind it.

**If you noticed I am putting symbols in some of my words it is because I heard you should do that to keep your blog from coming up when people google popular stores/restaurants/movies/etc.

6 Weeks!!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 6 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby Cline is the size of a lentil bean

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Lost 1 lb

Maternity Clothes: Some pants are fitting a little snug already but to be honest they were already snug before I was prego.

Gender: Won't find out until between 16-20 weeks

Movement: None yet, still too early

Sleep: I am not sleeping well. I toss and turn a lot.

What I miss: Subway sandwiches and Big Red!! (I am typing this at 7:48am and I would love a spicy italian sub right now!!)

Cravings: I still love everything spicy and salty. Still don't really crave sweets. Something to drink besides water. Right now I am not hungry so I have to make myself eat. Nothing really sounds good at meal times (except sandwiches!)

Symptoms: More nauseous this past weekend. I also have a feeling in the back of my throat like there is something stuck. I am constantly coughing or clearing my throat but it doesn't help. At first I thought it was allergies but other women have had the same thing when prego. Still very tired. Not hungry

Best Moment this week: Sharing the news with Amy and Katherine. Melisa's appointment and seeing the picture of my next niece or nephew. Going to B*bies R Us with Kyle and looking forward to picking things out.

Hardest Moment this week: Keeping the secret from people at work. I have decided to wait until after the ultrasound and it is very hard. Also I started feeling more emotional this weekend and I get my feelings hurt more easily.

I can't wait: To hear the heartbeat and see our little one!!

5 Weeks!!

I am going to do a weekly post to update you on the pregnancy. Eventually I will share pictures of my baby bump but since I don't have one yet that will wait a couple of weeks.

I borrowed this format from another blogger-

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 5 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby Cline is the size of a sesame seed

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Lost 1 lb

Maternity Clothes: not yet thank goodness

Gender: Won't find out until between 16-20 weeks

Movement: None yet, still too early

Sleep: Restless sleep.

What I miss: Nothing yet.

Cravings: Everything spicy which is funny because Melisa is having the same craving. I can't get enough jalapenos. Last week I ate at least one meal every day with jalapenos. However I have always loved spicy foods so this really isn't something new.
Subway sandwiches (which I am not eating because someone told me you aren't supposed to eat deli meat and I haven't taken the time to confirm or deny this).
I do not like sweets right now which is unusual for me. I love dessert after every meal normally but lately sweets just don't appeal to me. I want something salty for every snack.

Symptoms: Light nausea but it really just feels like I am nervous and have butterflies in my tummy. I don't actually feel like I am going to be sick. I am also VERY tired. I have a hard time staying awake past 9 and last night it was 8 thanks to the time change.

Best Moment this week: Sharing our exciting news with family and friends.

Halloween and World Series game

I have been meaning to share pictures from David and Jen's Halloween party for a while. Better late than never right?
Kyle was a rodeo clown. He did his makeup himself since I was at the TCU game with friends from college before the party. I think he did an awesome job.
Jen and David. They threw a great party with an awesome haunted house. Kyle wouldn't even go in it. I hope they make this an annual thing!

Kyle loved being a clown and making faces with his makeup on.

Melisa, my mom, my dad, and I all got the chance to work a concession stand at game 4 of the World Series. The Rangers didn't win and it was a long day but it is a fun memory.

Melisa and I posing next to something that said 'World Series' notice the sign to the left of Melisa's butt.

Melisa and I went out into the stands and took this picture of the Ranger's dugout

I loved seeing this on the screen.

The rules require us to wear khakis. This is the first time I have ever seen my dad wear khakis so of course we had to take a picture. Definitely blog worthy!!

Me in my oh so adorable uniform

Melisa and my mom looking much cuter!!
Sorry the pictures are so late but I hope you enjoy them!!

Baby Cline is on its way!!!

Kyle and I are excited to tell you that we are pregnant!!! Our baby is due July 11, 2011. I am currently 5 weeks pregnant. My first ultrasound is scheduled for November 29th.

We had a wonderful weekend getting to share the news with family.

On Saturday we went to Larry and Susan's to share the news with these.

They were very surprised and happy and I couldn't help but get teary-eyed. Then we went onto Fuddruckers for dinner and to share the news with the rest of the family. Once we were seated we then showed them the cupcakes and they too were all surprised and excited for us.

Saturday night my mom and dad came up to visit and go to a fall dance that my uncle Andy's band was playing at. It was kind of expensive to get in but we we still had fun visiting and trying to win a cake on the cake wheel.

Sunday after church Kyle and I met with Melisa and Trent to head to Ennis. The girls took one car and the boys took another because they decided to set up their deer blind and do the evening hunt since they were already in Ennis.

We all went to Granny's for lunch and she gave me a bag full of goodies. I asked Granny a month or so ago to make me a tablecloth for my table since it is so large you can't buy pre-made ones. Not only did she make me a table cloth but she also made me coordinating placements, a Christmas table runner with place mats, and a Thanksgiving runner with place mats. Check out the Thanksgiving set.

After hanging out at Granny's we went to Waxahachie for Fancy Nancy's birthday party. Fancy Nancy is our nickname for Carsyn because she is very girly and love to wear jewelry, makeup, and carry a purse. Here is a pic of me with Fancy Nancy.

Notice in the picture she is wearing an adorable dress, with a cute pink bow, bracelet, and holding her purse. I love this girl!!

At the end of the party we shared the news with my mom's side of the family that we are pregnant. Once again a lot of excitement and hugs.

This weekend was busy and tiring but also so much fun to spend that much time with family.
