We spent the day at the Colonial Days in Orem. Can I say right off, these are my kind of people. I loved being around these people. I loved being around the people hosting the fair, the people that were attending the fair, and my family. Im pretty sure Im legally required to issue a trigger warning. The images you are about to see could in fact require you to find a safe space and a coloring book. Please, consider yourself warned. Ok, here goes.
We saw a lot of military machines and equipment. This is like the generators Keith worked on when he served in the National Guard.
The kids also shot a 50 caliber machine gun. Remember.... I warned you. These things might scare you.
Nothing will scare you more than this. I need a coloring book. And a safe place. A quiet, safe place.
Here we are learning more about guns and throwing grenades. Once again... my kind of people.
Hayden got to help shoot a howitzer. Its a big and loud gun. Its cool.
We got to watch them shoot the cannon! That was also pretty cool... and I could feel the ground shake! Impressive!
Have I mentioned I enjoyed how nice the people are? They were so cute with the kids! No one complained. No one needed crayons. No one needed a safe space. Everyone had manners. Everyone loved and respected each other, the flag and our country. These are my kind of people.
I include these pictures because I like them. If you need a crayon and safe space for these, you have big problems.
Look, birthday presents!
Oh, sorry... that was for my birthday and I realize things aren't always about me. Try again... Look! Birthday presents!
Happy 4th of July weekend.
