Jonas's Birthday

My little boy is 2!

Since his birthday was on Sunday we did most of our fun things on Saturday. We took the boys to the mall and got some lunch,..

...then went for a ride on the carousel! Damon has begged and begged to go for some time now, and they were both so excited. When we walked in the doors it was the first thing Jo saw and he could not wait!

Then we went to the UNL creamery for some ice cream cones.

Jo loved the cone the best.

After church on Sunday we had a few friends over for some dessert. You could tell he was not quite sure exactly what was happening, but was pretty pleased it was for him!

Sweet Teddy, love him.

Jo has been super into Thomas the train lately, and was so happy to have his own personal Thomas cake.

We just can't describe how much we love our two boys. They are our everything. So grateful for them.

WQ Temple

The Andersons were so sweet and watched our kids while we went to the Winter Quarters Temple last week. It is truly a huge commitment when you add in travel time and with our two boys making theirs into four I am sure it was a crazy couple of hours. We are so grateful to them. Don't know what we would do without our friends.

The boys obviously had lots of fun playing superheros. Jo just thinks he is a big boy and copies everything he sees the older kids do.
Silly boys :)

Time is flying

After having the Christmas break and starting school it feels like we have been running non-stop! Life is busier than ever, but so good and happy too. Our house is never quiet, but if it is, usually it is after a mess has been made...

Funny how even in a disaster they can sleep peacefully...half on, half off the bed. When Jo was getting used to sleeping in his toddler bed we had a few times where we found him in interesting places. In the closet, inside the toy car bin, with his arm inside one of Damon's boots.

We went to the Dairy Chef with the Kawas. It was super yum. We went there with them a little over a year ago during the apple festival. We missed it this year while we were in D.C. Fun to be able to have an excuse to go again!

We had a fun friend day at the church which was awesome!

Getting ready to race
Winter has been a bit interesting here in NE this year. In January we were outside playing on the playgrounds wearing shorts. A few weeks later we got some snow. It has really been a mild winter here. No complaints.
First trip out in our winter get-up

Jo did not like being bundled up
Kyle has been super busy with school, the bar application, and job hunting. I on the other hand have been super busy with kids! I watch Damon's little friend Gideon everyday from morning till noon and we usually have some more friends come to play in the afternoon! It has been loud, messy, and lots of fun.
Finally got to meet baby Reese!

Having some magnifying glass fun
Jonas loved stuffies. We pile them up on the boy's bean bag and he just goes nuts with them.

We have had lots of birthday parties to go to. Damon's friend Gavin had the cutest Curious George Party, Ford had a darling hungry Caterpillar party, and Lincoln had an awesome Superhero party!

Pics from Ford's party...Da, Teddy, Sydney, Ford, Lincoln, Stetson, Gavin, Owen,  and Reese. (Love how Da and Teddy are staring each other down :)

Lots of the kids at Lincoln's superhero party.

Brielle invited Damon to her birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. He had never been before and had a blast!

Yay for birthdays, awesome friends, and good times.
