Package, Halloween, Kids Day..

Our sweet friend Audrey sent us an awesome Halloween package. Kyle was able to bring it home with him after his trip to Utah to do Law school recruiting. Damon was ecstatic!

Thanks Aud! You are the best!
(I know it was probably hard for you to send the BYU stuff,...
Kyle and Damon really appreciated it! :)

In their cute Halloween shirts and socks.

So this year Damon decided he wanted to be a mailbox for Halloween. Pretty out of the ordinary, but I was just excited that it was something simple I could make. We decided to make Jonas a package.

The law school had a day where the kids could go around and get candy from different rooms in the school. We met Kyle there and took the kids around with their friends.

We also went to a trunk-or-treat that our and a few other wards did at the church.
We did not go trick or treating to any houses this year, but we certainly got enough candy to last us awhile!

Da has decided that he is about done taking naps. But of course as we were driving to the church he fell asleep. Needless to say he was not that thrilled about being woken up.

Kyle did a pretty good job carving his pumpkin, I was very proud! The toothpicks gave it a nice touch I think :) I just let Da paint his and his little bro's.

My friend Suzanne told us about the Kids Day they do at the Agriculture Building on campus. They let the kids see and pet the animals and gave us some fun little prizes at the end. Damon and Lincoln loved it!

So the other day Damon drew his first little guy! He has done lots of coloring and scribbling pictures, but this is the first one I have seen that I could kinda tell what he was doing. The other day he had me draw our family (and since my artistic skills are not that great, it was a series of stick figures). Then he came up with this beauty. He said it was him. I love it :)

He said this one was a boat.

School, Orchard...

We started a joy school for Damon with five of his other friends. I love that he can have some structured learning time with his good friends, and that us girls get to be together and teach them. They are all such good kids.

After we had school at our house, we saw two fire engines pull up to the neighbors house across the street. It ended up being a smoking pot from the oven, but the kids had a fun time being right up close to it all. One of the firemen came over afterward and talked with the kids. Nice guy.

A month ago Jonas started pulling himself up to stand, crawling up stairs, and eating absolutely everything within his grasp. The pic is fuzzy, but so cute-can't believe my little guy is growing up so fast.

Funny Da decided during nap time to play around with the baby powder. I did not ask him how it tasted, but obviously he had a try.

For our first joy school field trip we went to Martin's Hillside Orchard. The kids played on the haystacks, picked apples and pumpkins, and ran around like crazy!

He picked one!

Boys BYU Football Trip, Apple Jack Festival...

Kyle and his friends went on a road trip to Colorado to see the BYU football team play Air Force. Even though BYU lost, they had a great time together...if you ever met these guys you would know why.
Griffin, Wes, Nate, and Kyle.

Kyle got stuck on garbage duty at the tailgate party. Too bad for him :)

The game was on September 11th, so the Air Force displayed a beam from one of the twin towers.

Fly over before the game.

GO COUGS!!!

Last week we went to the Apple Jack Festival in Nebraska City.
They have orchards where you can pick apples, tons of apple treats (apple donuts, apple slush, apple cider, caramel apples,...) activities for the kids, and a parade.
The caramel apples and cider were amazing, we did not make it to the parade. It was a bit chilly that day, and the kids were done after a few hours.

Da and Daddy eating some warm apple spice donuts...yum.

Our family

Our friends told us about this sweet little place to eat at on the way back. At first glance we did not know what to think of this hole in the wall restaurant in the middle of nowhere. We were very pleasantly surprised. It was delicious. And also kinda cute that while we were there over the course of thirty to forty minutes, there was a slow steady stream of elderly women who came to have lunch together.

What is going on with us:
Damon is pretty much potty trained.
Jonas is crawling all over the house.
Kyle is working hard in school, and working to try and get internships for next summer.
I am taking care of a boy whose parents are both going to school right now, starting a rotating preschool with some friends, and just trying to keep up with everything.
We love our boys, and our happy life!
