Christmas Moments

As Christmas approached I felt like a little kid again because I was really excited. Not because of anything that I was hoping to receive, but because of Bailey. Long before Thanksgiving, Jayson and I decided to get Bailey a tricycle for Christmas. During the course of researching the best tricycle, I took Bailey with me to test out a few different bikes. As a result, I knew she would love her gift, which is why I was so excited for Christmas morning!

Trying it out for the first time!

This says it all.

Railroad Museum

The week before Christmas we got to spend some time with Josh, Trish and their 3 girls who were visiting from Connecticut. One of those days we went with Josh and Becca to the Sacramento Railroad Museum. We had an enjoyable time seeing the exhibits.

All Grown Up

A few days after her 2nd birthday, Bailey went to the doctor fore her 2 year check up. She is an even 3 feet tall (94%) and weighs 32 pounds (96%). Like the doctor said she's a solid girl!

She knows a ton of words, but her favorites are "Mommy," "Daddy," and "Owen" (her cousin). She is beginning to talk to phrases, and we have been occasionally gifted with a complete sentence.

She loves to take her own clothes off, especially when it's bath time.

One of her favorite past times is putting on whose ever shoes are empty, (as long as they aren't hers), putting her purse on her shoulder, pushing her doll stroller around the house, while "talking" on the cell phone.

We are so blessed to have Bailey in our lives. We are super lucky parents!

My Mommy Said

I needed to update everyone regarding my health. After my last post about the pregnancy sickies, I decided to contact my doctor for nausea medication. I had high hopes that it would work this time since things weren't as bad as they were with Bailey. And, they did. I started taking Zofran and the morning sickies and the nausea went away. The constant hunger has also gone away. I feel like a normal person!

On the other hand, at my last doctor appointment the Nurse Practitioner was checking my stomach when she said, "You have a a hernia." Huh? She then had me rub my hand over my belly-button, and I said, "Oh, that. I knew about that. I had my gall bladder removed in May, isn't that just scar tissue from the surgery?" Apparently not. I have an umbilical hernia. According to the nurse it will need to be repaired surgically, but because I'm pregnant they won't/can't do anything until after I have the baby.

Morning sickness or hernia? I'm not sure which one I prefer.

She's 2!

Bailey's 2 and what a fantastic birthday she has had this weekend! It started with her 2 year pictures in the morning followed by the first of 2 parties. The first was Saturday with the Kaze side.

Her gift from Grandma and Grandpa Kaze (plus the purple slippers you can kinda see poking out).

Pinkalicious Dress-up Shoes, which her cousin O modeled for us!

A dollhouse from mom and dad.

Birthday cake #1 (made by me--aka a regular sheet cake).
Party number 2 was Sunday evening with the Boden side. Unfortunately, I only got pictures of the cake, which was adorable (thanks Elissa)! Bailey was very fortunate this evening as well and received some wonderful gifts (winter coat, books, crayons, writing pad, and a Sing-a-ma-jig).

Birthday cake #2--ADORABLE

Singing the "Happy Birthday" Song Saturday
Bailey blew out the candles on Sunday, but someone forgot to press "record" on the camera (not me!).
Thank you everyone for making this such a special day for Bailey.
