Tough Week
It turns out my glucose test was "a little high," so today I got to do the 3 hour test. I'm pretty sure that I will be told that I have gestational diabetes. I'm ok with that, I just want to know so that I can start doing what I need to do to make sure the baby's healthy.
Early this morning, Julia (my mother-in-law) called to let us know that Grandpa Gillming passed away sometime during the night. He's had health problems for the last year or so, so I know it's a blessing. I just worry about my mother-in-law and Grandma Gillming. I've been through this before (none of my grandparents are living), but this is the first for Jayson's family. The funeral is this weekend, so we'll once again be coming home, although not for a happy event.

The First Day of Jayson's Last Year of Shool
One more year! Is that it? I joke with Jayson that when we met, he only had 2 more years of college left. So what happened? He changed majors, what else! But I'm glad he did, because he much happier in Construction Management than he would have been in Geomatics Engineering.
Good luck Jayson! I know this last year, while crazier, will be just as successful as the others!

Freaking Out!!!!
Saturday I took my 1 hour glucose test (you know, to test for gestational diabetes), and I didn't think much of it. I was just glad that I managed to keep the "yummy" drink down long to have my blood drawn. Well, today when I got home from school I checked our messages and there was a message from my doctor's office wanting to "discuss test results" with me. Uh oh. This is bad right? My doctor hasn't called to discuss test results before; she's always waited until my next appointment. So now, I'm going to stress until tomorrow AFTERNOON (I can't call until 2:00 during my prep period). But wait, I think they close at 12:00 Tuesdays, so does that mean I have to wait until Wednesday?!!!!

More Mommy Questions
What about a bumper for the crib?
What sort of relaxation techniques did you use during labor? We aren't going to take a birthing class because, well simply we don't have the time. Besides my doctor said I can get the info elsewhere (internet, videos, etc.).

The Tummy Picture
Well ladies (Summer & Brianne), I finally posted a picture of my "tummy." I don't think I look that pregnant, but I sure feel like it!
I've noticed that my feet are swelling, but I didn't realize how bad until I went to put on my tennis shoes yesterday, and they didn't fit. I now have NO shoes that fit. While, this would normally excite me (buying new shoes, how couldn't I be excited), I am not excited to shop for these. Ugh, the "joys" of pregnancy!

On the Down Count
5 1/2 months. Finally, I'm over the half way hump, and what an uphill climb it's been. This past week I've started to really FEEL pregnant. Here's what's been going on:
1. She's really started to move, and of course I feel it most at night when I want to go to bed.
2. I've started to swell. It started with my fingers, then yesterday I noticed that I didn't have a left ankle anymore. At least the right ankle's still there!
3. I've gotten more tired recently. How I'm going to teach and go to class at night this semester is beyond me.
4. I can't find a comfortable position to sleep in.
5. I'm up all night peeing. Why I can go for hours during the day without having to pee, but I'm up every 2 hours while I'm sleeping is beyond me.
6. I feel big. I'm may not look really pregnant (camouflaged by a big tummy already), but I feel it.
I'm sure there's more, but this is all that's coming to mind right now. I promise to post a picture of my tummy in the next day or two. I'm waiting for a day when I actually get ready, so probably Sunday.

Nothing Exciting
I was told by my big bro Blain that I needed to update our blog. The problem: not much has been going on. We did get home this weekend for Jayson's cousin's wedding. It's the first "live" sealing we've been to since we got married, so being in the sealing room with the bride and groom brought back some wonderful memories of our own wedding! The bride had the same look on her face that we probably all did after the the minute and half sealing, thinking to ourselves, "What, I'm married now? Is that all it took?!" Her expression was funny when the sealer called her Sister Smith; she didn't know who he was talking too!
School starts next week, so I spent the day in my classroom. I'll probably be there tomorrow too. Everyone I work with was surprised that I'm still sick, and that I'm so chipper about it. I've come to the conclusion that I can't do anything about it, so I might as well put on a happy face.
See, like I said, nothing exciting.
