Preschool Graduate!

Bailey is officially a kindergartner! I am so very proud of Bailey. She attended preschool for only 5 months, but she learned so much.

Bailey's teacher, Ms Becky, was awesome. She kept challenging Bailey, and because of this Bailey is ready for kindergarten.

Eli's 2!

To celebrate Eli's birthday we went to one of our favorite parks to play and swim. Eli's not as daring as he was last year so, so he spent most of the time playing at the edge of the water, while Bailey jumped right in! After swimming and playing we found a great little creamery in Penn Valley had a banana split. It's been a great way to celebrate our little guy--slides, swimming, and sundaes.h

Sledding

The family got a sled from Santa for Christmas, so we decided to take advantage of the OK weather and head up the hill to go sledding. It was crowded and it took a couple of different tries to find a spot, but we finally did and had a blast!

This was Eli's first trip to the snow and at first he loved it, until he went on the sled with me. I'm not the best sledder and we both got a face full of snow (thank you feet!). After that he was a less than enthusiastic participant.

  Bailey is a champion sledder. She always wanted to go down by herself!

Towards the end of the day, Eli warmed up to being in the snow ,just as long as he didn't have to be in the sled.

Bailey's Birthday Celebration!

For Bailey's birthday we took her and her cousin Owen ice skating. She had such a blast! She got on the ice and skated like a champ, zipping back and forth with her buckets. At one point Jayson tried to take her on the "big" rink, but she didn't like being without the buckets. But with the buckets, watch out!

 

 

Towards the end of our session, we were able to go into the middle of the rink and skate in the "snow". Bailey and Owen loved it!

Happy 4th Birthday baby girl. I can't believe how quickly the time has gone. We are so proud of you.

 

Halloween

 

Halloween was pretty low key this year. Normally I really get into thinking up ideas for costumes and then asking my mom to create my vision. But this year I felt like the Halloween equivalent of Ba-hum-bug. Thankfully, Bailey didn't want to be anything to difficult, just Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. I think it turned out rather well. Eli was a scarecrow (he wouldn't let my put straw in the front of his overalls, which is why it's only in the back), and Jayson dressed up as Tim the Tool Man Taylor--his costume every year!

Bishop's Pumpkin Farm 2012

I have not been very motivated to post Kaze happenings; maybe because there's not much exciting happening. Also, what little time I do have, I'd rather do something else than sit at the computer and write. But, every now and then I have to remind myself that even if no one reads this anymore, I still consider it to be our family journal. Therefore, while the posts may be few and far between I'm still compelled to journal certain things.
