I have been the worst blogger ever! I guess being pregnant and working full time doesn't make blogging a huge priority. Rob and I are really excited about the new baby. It is going to be a boy and my due date is December 27. Kaden seems like he is really excited, but I guess we will see how he really feels about the situation when we actually bring the baby home.
Here are a few highlights of the summer.
Zions National Park in July.
The American Fork Carnival.
Riverdale up by Logan.
Swimming in the neighbor's back yard.
Creamies with the Bodily cousins.
Pony ride at Thanksgiving Point.
Orem Owlz baseball game with our neighbors the Olsen's

Yea for Spring!
I have been working a lot and haven't had much time for blogging. I am working 4-5 days per week and receiving training to cover the NICU so work has been a little crazy, but we have had a little time for some fun.
We went to the zoo a few months ago. I thought it was much more pleasant to go when it was a little cold that when it is blasted hot in the middle of the summer. I had a "why am I allowed to be a parent" moment while we were there. Kaden was running around like a crazy man (as usual) and he ran through the fence that was holding the camels. (Keep in mind the "fence" consisted of wooden posts with 3 peices of wire strung between the posts...not much of a fence). I was screaming at him to get out of the camel's cage and my screaming made him laugh (as usual) until he turned around and noticed there was a camel about 12 inches from his head. He got scared and yelled for me...and for a second I was too scared to run and save him, but then I got brave and ran an got him. It has been over 2 months and kaden will still come up to me and say "I run in the camels and you get me."
Kaden loves working out in the yard with Rob. Here they are fertilizing the lawn.
We went to Baby Animal Days. It was a rainy, muddy, mess. but Kaden loved it. Here he is petting a lamb.
And here he is petting a little chick.

Jazz vs. Warriors Game
We went to the Jazz game last night. It was pretty fun. Rob was pretty excited that the Warriors won because that is his hometown team. The rest of the stadium was pretty mad. Kaden had fun playing on the playground equipment on the second level. As for watching the game, he wasn't all that interested. He did like the Jazz Bear though.

Gingerbread House
We made a gingerbread house. Kaden had a fun time putting all of the candy on the house. I was surprised at how carefully he put each peice of candy on. I thought for sure this was going to turn out to be a messy nightmare, but it actually was pretty fun. I would put a dot of frosting and Kaden would put on the candy. This entertained him until the house was about 75% finished, then Kaden decided it was more fun to eat the candy.

October
We took a vacation to St. George last week. We stayed at my Grandma's house in Coral Canyon. There is a HUGE park across the street. Kaden loved it; we went there everyday!
He scared us to death when he would climb the rock walls. This one below was about 10 feet tall. Rob and I would try to help him and he would wag his little finger at us and say "no, no, Katy... no, no, Rob."

Bye Bye Summer, Hello Autumn
Rob and I spent most of the summer working out in our yard. We had so much fun experimenting with different plants. Above are the petunias. They were so beautiful until the caterpillars and grasshoppers got the best of them about a month ago. They should still be blooming, heck, even Taco Bells petunias are still going strong; but instead I had to pull all of them up because the stupid bugs absolutely destroyed them and they were completely blossom-less and looked awful.
I planted these from seeds. They turned out to be pretty decent.
This is the rose of sharon bush.
This is a gladiolus. I think these were my favorite.
I am so sad that it is fall and all the flowers are pretty much gone. I am already looking forward to next year's growing season.
We went to Lagoon last weekend with my family. Kaden loved all the rides. He was 36 inches so he was tall enough to go on some of the adult rides like the scrambler, tilt-a-whirl, and the tidal wave. He laughed his head off. I thought he would have been more scared, but he wasn't. He absolutely loved it.
This ride in the picture below went up and then dropped you down really fast. I am going to be honest, I thought it was kind of scary for a kiddie ride. Kaden was hysterically laughing the entire ride, which made me feel like a big chicken for feeling a little anxious when it was drop time.
Here he is with his cousin Mindy. She was a good sport to go on all the baby rides with Kaden.
