Hunting... and more hunting

So Eric and Braydon have both had some super fun hunting so here are some of thier stories.
BEAR
Eric and Luke about 700 yards from the truck.
Eric and his Pride and Joy.

Eric's bear before he shot her with a bow and arrow. He has never shot a bow and arrow in his life, so he did really well killing this bear in two shots.

BEWARE: The following video contains naughty language, and some gory guts

BADGER

This is a badger that Eric saw out at work. He and his coworkers like to kill bunnies and mice by hitting them with rocks. One day it was close to quitting time and they were driving around getting ready to go. Someone in the truck said they saw a critter and Eric said it was too late to go "hunting" but then he noticed it was not just a bunny, but a badger. Eric slams the truck into reverse, jumps out , and gets the badger backed up to a fence. This thing is flattened out and hissing (these things are really really vicious) and Eric yells for someone to get him something to hit it with. Someone gives him a fence post... he hit the thing in the head a few times, and now it is another trophy for us to have in our home.

ELK

So Braydon was drawn for Elk. Just today he finally got it! It is a pretty large cow (female). He was so excited, jumping around with his friend and showing off the bullet casing. He shot it once in the back, and then shot it again in the neck before it could run off. He did very well, especially for being 11 years old!

Me and My Pup

Bones may be the closest thing to having a kid for me for quite some time, since he is around all the time, I have to feed him, I have to entertain him, I have to pick up his poop, etc. And since I am his mama - here we are... It was a VERY sunny day!

Braydon and Norma on Sunday doing a "Performance" for Eric, Richard (Eric's Dad), Anne (Eric's
Stepmom) and me! They were so fun!

Yea! I finally have a back deck! These are pictures of Eric and Braydon working hard to get it all done. It is SOOO nice. No railings or stairs yet, but it is perfect for laying out!
Bryadon was more available to take/pose for pictures!

For those of you in our family who do not remember this puzzle - it is terribly hard. It is 3x3 diamond shaped groups that are put together to make a maze. Each peice is the same size and shape and it is super easy to fit two peices together thinking that they work, but they don't. It took me about two weeks after work to finish it! No peaking Jenni!

I think I have the weirdest animals in the world - This is Pancake (cat) and Bones (dog) huddling in the dog house on a really windy day. Bones gets scared to go in there when Pancake sits in the middle of the doorway. Survival of the fittest; yea right - it is Survival of the most Stubborn here in Eagar.

Let's Try

I know that I have a pretty mellow life, so I may not be the best blogger in town, but I am going to try it out. My biggest news is that, no, I am not going through menopause, and I do not have a thyroid problem. The bad news is I am still having night sweats and my Dr. has no idea what is wrong with me. I was able to get 17 hours of sleep last night! But didn't go to work. It is so frustrating not knowing what is going on with your own body. Anyway, that is what is going on for the day.
