The Real Update

Here is the real update on my little family.

Cory just got a new job with Burton Lumber. He doesn't have to work 18 hour days, they give him medical benefits and a work truck. Best. Thing. Ever.  I'm still working up at Discover, but my days there are numbered. Hopefully. Shhhh, don't tell. :-) We are living out in Daybreak at the apartment complex out there. We love it. It's a great location even though I feel like we live halfway to Narnia.

Now for the kiddos. They are the ones you want to hear about anyway. Milo is the silliest, sweetest, most adorable kid ever. He's just really started to talk, and he has taken to telling you what's on his mind. For example, the other day we were in the car, and randomly from the backseat I hear,"hippopotamus! Hippopotamus swimming in the water. Hippopotamus eats hay." Alrightly then. I just love him. He is the sweetest little boy. He's always very concerned for his sister. He is the first one to tell me Mikayla is crying, and he loves to get her the binki and toys. He loves cars (both the toys and the movie), animal noises, and recently started loving books. He's getting so big!

Mikayla is amazing. I said the whole time I was pregnant that I was terrified to have another one, because no baby could be as good as Milo was. Well....she's even better. She completely skipped the colicky, purple crying stage. She slept through the night at six weeks (like 8-6 sleeping through the night). She gets up during the night again now, but it's usually only once and she always goes back down really easily. She is the happiest, smiliest baby I have ever seen. She loves to talk, babble, screech, coo, giggle, and be loud. She smiles with her whole body, which I find adorable. She loves to play with her toes, and she rolls from side to side all day long. It won't be long until she can roll from back to tummy!

So there you go folks. A little update on the fam. I am going to keep it updated now, I promise! :-)

Hello again!

It's been awhile. Like over a year awhile. Things have happened, mainly adding a new little munchkin to our family. Here's a major photo bomb from the last few months.

Yep. There it is. I have the cutest kids in the world. I plan to do an actual update soon!

Learning So Much!!

Learning to color and NOT eat the crayons.  It's apparently harder than it looks.

Loves watching the fishies at the aquarium.

Ooo, look everyone!

Learning to eat with a spoon.  Sometimes he's better than others.

Learning how to give a cheesy grin!

Running around, always!

He still LOVES bath time.

He got his first kid's meal at Chick-fil-A.  They have grilled chicken nuggets now!

Loves to stick his tongue out, and get you to do it back.

He's learning so much every day!  He's one amazing, smart, wonderful little munchkin!

Zoo Day

Milo loves the zoo!  Here are some fun pictures from our day.

Getting so big!

Almost that big....so close!

Making funny faces at the giraffes

Riding the carousal, he wasn't so sure about it....

Pictures, pictures, and more PICTURES!

These are just a bunch I've had lying around.

From Milo's blessing day.  He's so cute and little!

Rocking a football helmet at Tai Pan

You know, just chillin in the sink at Grandma's house.  Isn't that what all the cool kids do?

Now he's rocking the pink princess bib.  He's comfortable in his manliness.

Milo and I taking pictures of ourselves.

He stole Daddy's camelback water bottle.  To this day, he can't drink out of a normal sippy cup without help, but a camelback is no problemo.  Weirdo.  =)

Taking awesome pictures of himself while trying to steal Mommy's phone!

Look Mom!  I found the toilet paper!

Ice Skating at the Gallivan Center over Christmas.  It was a blast!

Opening his Christmas Eve present.  Guess what!  He got jammies!  Shocker, I know.

Bath time!

Picture of a picture from Alan and Andrea's wedding.  I forgot how totally chubby he was until I saw this!

More bath time, but this time, with BUBBLE BATH!  He loves it!

Fall!!

I love this time of year.  I really do.  I must admit, I was so excited for the snow we just had, and I was totally bummed that it melted so fast.  Anyhoo, it's due time for an update.  I've been a slacker.  =)

Milo is on the GO!  That boy does not stay still.  Ever.  He crawls everywhere, pulls up on everything.  He just today discovered the kitchen cabinets, so I guess it's time to put away the cleaning supplies.  I've been holding off on it because he never opened any of the doors, and we can't baby proof them since they really aren't ours.  I guess we'll have to keep everything dangerous above Milo height!  We've been giving Milo more and more real food, and he's getting rather independent about the whole thing.  He really prefers to feed himself, and he likes to eat whatever anyone else is eating.  Milo is also starting to get more teeth, so he's back to chewing on everything and anything he can get his hands on.  He's getting really good at holding on with one hand and doing other things with the other.  I don't think it will be very long before he starts standing on his own.  And then we all know what happens next!

Now Cory and I may or may not actually have lives of our own.  Cory has been working hard at school, and he's going to graduate in April.  YAY!!  We're super excited.  I'm still trying to balance work and mommy-hood.  It's harder than one might think.  I am SERIOUSLY excited for Christmas.  I can't even handle it.  I'm starting to have strong desires to buy the entire toy aisle at Costco.

Next time, I'll have more recent pictures, but here are some from a while back.  It was obviously summer time, since Milo is just in his onesies:

This is the first time Milo really crawled.

We found Milo all wrapped up in his blanket, so I grabbed the camera to take a picture.

Then he saw the wrist strap thingy hanging, and I guess he really wanted it!

Closer......closer.....

TA-DA!  Here I am!!

And this is when Milo started pulling himself up on things.
