Floral Cut-Away Card - December's Glimmer of the Month club

 Hello!

Welcome to my little crafting place!

This time its the turn of December's  Glimmer of the Month club to take the starring role! This month theres an absolutely beautiful flowery panel with a shaped edge and a die that cuts it perfectly - along with some of my favourite matte gold foil

Because of the pretty shape, I just had to make a card to show if off, by making a cut-away front feature

I printed out some digital papers, an aqua watercolour pattered piece and a wood effect design in soft creamy beige shades as I thought the Glimmer design would work really nicely with them.

My last posting was a HELLO card using some of the dies from  December's Small Die of the Month club and this card uses even more of them - don't ever think that the 'Small' in this club's name means you don't get many dies!  And there are still a couple I've not used yet!

I used:

December Small Die of the Month club

December Glimmer of the Month club

White card blank

Digital papers printed onto white Bazzill card

Gold and Green Card scraps

Aqua satin ribbon

Well, HELLO! (December Small Die of the Month club )

  Hello!

Welcome to my little crafting place!

The Small Die of the Month club from Spellbinders this Decemberhas a a beautiful 'HELLO' theme, with a fabulous giant 'H' entwined with leaves and smaller 'ELLO' capitals letters as you can see on my first card below

This was such fun to make - especially as it made such a change from all the Christmas stuff which still litters my desk!

I made a DL card from an A4 sheet of burgundy card. then used the remaing piece trimmed down slightly to bring more dimension to the card.  I cut one 'H' from each of gold and green card, and a couple of extras from other shades of green to use as accents

I cut all the leafy bits away from the gold 'H' to just leave theand the basic letter, then matted this onto the green cut-out.  The large letter and the smaller ones were then arranged onto my card.

Using the extra green die cuts I'd made, I added in more trailing leaves, then cut the flowers from card inked with shades of pink, adding a few to the 'O' for balance

I used:

December Small Die of the Month club

DL Burgundy card blank

White card, green and pink inks

Gold Card

December Elemental Inspiration Challenge.

Hello!

Welcome to my little crafting place! Here's where I share the things I've been making, and sometimes other bits of waffle!
This time my card is another for the Daring Cardmakers
Jolly Crafty Christmas Time 2024

It's the first Friday of the month so we have a picture prompt

December Elemental Inspiration Challenge.
What to make: Anything Goes!
Christmas themed or not
Just choose a minimum of 3 elements to use when you make yourproject.

My main choices were the pastel colours, the houses and the tree, and I made a couple of cards

Card 1

The dies used on the card above are from Simon Hurley Spellbinders sets.

I inked some pieces of card with pastel shades and used these to cut the various pieces. For a bit of Christmas glitz I added in some gold card for the deer, and a few pieces of glitter card too

Card 2

Again, most of the dies used on the card above are from Simon Hurley Spellbinders sets. However the little houses and the church are from an old die set - I've lost the original packaging, so I don't know who made them

In both cases I decided to mount all the pieces onto dark blue card blanks and I'm really happy at how the pastels look on the deep colour

Burgundy with Gold Bauble

    Hello!

Welcome to my little crafting place! Here's where I share the things I've been making, and sometimes other bits of waffle!
I found a photo of another of the bauble cards I've made that got missed out from my last post.
This one uses different finishes of gold card for the baubles and the card itself is a burgundy colour

As before I hot-foiled the sentiment directly ontop the card blank before adding the extras.  I've found the Spellbinders Glimmer sentiments and those intended for the Betterpress hot-foil really well onto my coloured cards - so much so that I've not had a single poor result (yet!)
The bauble die is from Simon Hurley's Vintage Layered Ornaments set.  The Merry Christmas Glimmer sentiment plate is from October's Glimmer of the Month club. I added gold thread bows and some holly and berries from my box of saved die cuts!
