"If you never change your mind, why have one?" - Edward de Bono

So my Dad was really funny the other day. I'm still laughing about it.

Marie (little sister): So guess what?
Daddy: What?
Marie: Today at school, some people had their tail-lights smashed in because they had a VOTE YES ON PROP 8 bumper sticker.
Daddy: Are you kidding me?
Marie: No. They really had their tail-lights smashed in.
Daddy: That's it! (angry voice).
Daddy action-- pulled out a bumper sticker, walked out to his car, and he put it on!!!

Now, for those of you who do not know my father, you need to realize what a momentous moment this actually is. My father is against bumper stickers in every way, mean and manner. He is against their very nature and existence and sees no point. Even when my siblings and I were honor students and begged my dad to put the bumper sticker on his car, he would refuse (politely) and say that he would brag about us in other ways. And yet, Proposition 8 changed his mind! hahahaha. Oh man. I can't even tell you how funny I think that is. He got angry enough to change his mind about bumper stickers. I think what is going through his mind at this point is, "Oh yeah? I can't WAIT until someone breaks my tail-lights. They won't know what hit them."
