Last weekend, I have been to Milano for celebrating our 10 years friendship with my friends. We booked the ticket a few months ago when I had a dinner with them. The trip was nice. The day we took the plane, it snowed very badly in The Netherlands. Many flights to and from The Netherlands had been cancelled. To our surprise, our flight was not cancelled. We only had two hours of delay.

There were people who had spent a night at the Dutch airport. I saw beds that people can take to rest. I snapped a photo with my iPhone who can show you how it was.

I was sitting at the "bed" in Schiphol (Dutch airport)

The flight was 1h35min. We got a good deal. We bought our ticket for less than 80Euro. Beside, we had our own department, since Lynette's bro was living there for work. So, basically, we have the lowest cost could have. :)

Arriving in Milano, we took the bus that brought us to the luggage hall. We arrived at a small airport of Milano (Malpensa).

We flied with Easyjet, buget airline.

It was my second time that I have been to Milan. My first time was with Cindy, Sixu and her friends. Milan itself does not have many attractive things, except their shops of all luxury. This time, I also did not buy any thing. I would try to eat galato, Italian ice cream. But it was too cold for this delicious. At the moment when I wanted to buy, the shop was closed. I finally eat some traditional food, thus pizza!

Our first day of arrival, we went out for dinner. We ended up in a restaurant somewhere nearby the place where we stayed. Generally, all the things in Milano are more expensive than in The Netherlands. The dinner easily starts from 30euro per person excluding drinking. One thing that is very cheap is the public transport ticket. We bought a 24-hours-ticket, which means your ticket is valid for 24 hours after you first check-in. I do not know what the normal price is. We got promotion because of the Christmas period. So, we finally paid 2.50euro. :) Oh ya, with this ticket, you do not need to check out. So, I conclude that we can travel with that as far as you can. A perfect cheap system!

The restaurant where we had had our dinner, was not a very good restaurant. The food tasted fine. Lili did not get used to typical Italian food. I had the same when I was in Italy for my first time. The most annoying thing was that we are "pushed" out of the restaurant, since they wanted to serve other customers. Also, what I did not like of that restaurant was, was the service. A guy from other table ordered his food. The waitress served at the wrong table. The other customer had put his knife and fork in the food already, but the waitress still served that food to the guy who was waiting for his food. That guy did not want his food that had been touched by others. So, he asked the waitress to bring a new one. Rutger, husband of Hoiwan, joked that a few minutes the waitress might bring the same food back: they would not make a new one. Indeed, Rutger was right. That time, that guy was mad.

Let me show some pics of our dinner:

From left to right: Lynette, Lili and Hoiwan

Rutger and me.

What did we do in the evening? Hahaha, ya, we played card games! Till.....hhmmm, till about 3AM!! We played mainly Chinese poker, also known as Big2. Here you see our battle. :P

Hoiwan was tired, so she took a book to read. But we still fight! :P

The ladies took the two-persons-bed. Rutger and me took the living. I slept on the sofa while Rutger slept on the air bed.

The next day, we went to shopping. The ladies bought some clothes while the guys were just windows shopping. We went to the Christmas market to take a look of what they were selling. They sold Christmas stuff, but the food stores were just a few.

Oh, I forget to show the station of Milan.

This is the station of Milan. Here you can get the bus, train and underground.

Anyway, in the second and our last evening, we gave each other the presents. Here are the people with their presents.

Lynette's present, Hoiwan bought that for her

Hoiwan's present, I bought that for her.

Lili's present, Rutger bought that for her.

Rutger's present, Lili bought that for him.

My present, Lynette brought that for me.

The ladies bought some thing to put on their head. Here you got that shot.

The ladies with Christmas heads.

All by all, we have had a good time in Milano. Of course, we will not miss out a groupphoto.

Tata! Our groupphoto in Milan! :)

Last week, I got a sms from my buddy, Nancy. She asked me out for dinner. But she said she will intro a girl to me. Nancy is very seriously about single status. She is one of my friends who takes action to match me with the girls. Although I do not like to get know a girlfriend at that way, I feel very happy that I have such a caring friend.

During the dinner, Nancy asked me straight in my face what I think of the girl she introduced to me. I never know what kind of answer my friends like to hear when they shoot me with that question, since no one is satisfied with my answers I gave to them. I think they expect that I will get a feel for a girl easily which I told them I am not a guy who like a girl so easy. It is not because I am picky, but no feel is no feel at the first moment. Maybe the feel will grow after knowing each other for a longer period. Who knows. :)

At that dinner evening, Nancy told me what I should do to get credits from her friend. I was laughing in myself. I know the basic things of what I should do. But I will only do these kinds of things to the girls I have a feel for. She might the girl I am looking for. But I will never know that at the first day I meet her. Time will tell us what our path will be.

After Nancy got home, she sent me a sms in which she asked me if I got the number of her friend. I had to disappointed her. She was rushing for catching the train. So, I could not find an excuse to do my "homework" perfectly as Nancy expected me to do. To compensate that, I sent her a message on facebook. Till today, I do not get any message back, which means that I am not attractive under women eyes. :P

One very meaningful thing that Nancy told me, is that I am 30! I must think about my future...
