This summer, I have been to Malaysia. Stan brought me there with his trekker friends. They are all very nice. We drove by car from Singapore all the way to Malaysia to eat and to enjoy life. Stan told me to bring camera with me to shoot some photos. Firstly, he was a bit afraid that I do not like this kind of trip, since there is no luxury of life. All we got is a basic bed and simple but very delicious food from the local. Oh, I still remember how good the Ta Boa is! Too bad I could not try the Cha Siew Baos, since they are all sold out.

The food in Malaysia is obviously cheaper than in Singapore. They are at least as good as the Singaporean food. For the whole weekend, I spent around 50euro for the whole trip. That included the transport fee, trying the local food and accommodation.

There is one very obvious thing I noticed when I was in Malaysia. The people do always have a smile on their smile. Although they earn much less than the Singapore, I can see their happiness. This thing, I cannot find it in the Singaporeans. They are just rushing to go to work. At their work floor they have a lot of complains. Stress is very common for the Singaporeans, while smiles are painted in the Malaysian faces. You can check some of the photos I shot on my facebook.

Malaysia is a very beautiful country for landscape shooting as well. While I tried to shoot landscape pictures, I noticed I lost my landscape skill, which are my eyes for a good composition. Anyway, I gave it a try and here you got the results:

This was a sunrise shoot ion the very early. I woke up at around 4.30AM to walk around to find a nice spot to shoot. This is the result. I like the guy on the boat very much. He was just back from fishing night.

This was long exposure shot. This was also in the very early morning before the sun came out. I wished I had a more wider lens to able to capture the complete boat. I also miss ND filter to reduce the light in the front.

This was a sunset shot. I personally do not like this shot very much, because it lacked of many things: no story, colours are boring and the composition was also bad. I don't know why I am sharing this. Hahaha...

Hope I can be back to Asia very soon!

A few weeks ago, I applied for a job at the Dutch Government Office. They were looking for Inspector of the Dutch examination of Education at the mid-class level (thus, not A- or O-level). That job is very challenging and that is why I have tried my luck, since they are looking for a very skillful person to be their representative. After I wrote the cover letter, I sent it to my friend Jimmy for reviewing my Dutch grammar. I have to thank him for correcting my horrible grammar and typos. hahaha....

When Jimmy took a look at the vacancy, he said that this job might be too high demanding. The requirements are very high. But I told him I wanna try, since I really wonder how I perform in the cover letter and how good my CV is. After I sent my cover letter and CV to the Dutch Government, they gave a very surprise answer. They said that they will consider me as their potential. Therefore, they take my in their selection. I was very happy to hear that news, because it proofs that I am not doing very bad in writing the cover letter. :)

However, weeks have been passed by. There is no any hearings from the Dutch Government. I decided to write them an e-mail after discussing with Annie. Thanks Annie for being my ears! :) Today, I receive their e-mail. It is very sad to know that they did not pick me, because the other candits have a better matching. They said they have about 100 potentials. So, I can't beat that 100. :(

Anyway, today I am beat, but I am sure I will win one day. It is will be BIG win! Maybe not at respect in getting a job. In stead, I will win in business to let the Dutch Government counts on me. :)

I have uploaded some groupphotos on my facebook. But I will share some of them here as well.

This photo is taken by Nick (Mark younger brother) holding my camera. It was Mark's wedding. People on this photo are from Electrical Engineering, except Bou. Mark is our second one who made a step into wedding. Who will be the next one among us?

Long waited shot! Of course, this is Singapore! The two ladies are the ladies who was touring with me in Europe. On my left hand-side, Cindy Liew. She is a younger sister of Henry. On my right hand-side Yan Ling. Too bad that Sixiu is in Hong Kong. Else our Europe group is complete!

There are things in my life that made me sick. Especially of my M.Sc. thesis. I have no mood to write about it. I will not be so easily defeat by the stupid guys. Wait will I get the chance to put you all down!

Anyway, next week is a new week. A fresh start for fresh success! :)
