My Digital World

I have not been to home for three weekends, since I had stuff to do in the past three weekends. When I checked my blog, I noticed that Shan Shan dropped me a message. Shan Shan, I am doing fine, but recently very busy with working, running and setting up newbusinesses and also working on my thesis. How have you been? We haven't chatted for a while liao. Hope you are fine and hope we can chat soon!

Lili, my good friend who I know for 10 years, is going to marry over two weeks. :) Three weeks ago, she asked me to join her to review the work of a Chinese weddingphotographer. I checked his work and I do not think he did a good job, since in all pics the bride and the bridegoom are being posed. The most missing element is the story in the pictures. As a professional weddingphotographer you really need to record the most precious moments in the pictures. I believe that everyone can take good pictures, but many of them can not capture the moments.

Since I am not happy with the photographer, so do Lili and her boyfriend, I decide to offer myself as their wedding photographer. I promised them I will not fully focus on taking pictures only. I will enjoy their wedding day as well, since they want me as their good friend attends their wedding.

In that weekend, I met up with Eileen and her boyfriends. We went for Dim Sum. We chatted about their wedding next year. I felt honoured that Eileen asked to be their wedding photographer, since she also knew a professional weddingphotographer, but she prefer me as their photographer. Although I didn't say YES, I will offer her my service. I have to confirm my service next month.

The next day, I have a photoshooting with a girl from ModelMayhem. She is my first model I worked with from the MM site. She is a honest person. We sent many e-mails to each other to discuss about the shoot and to plan the shoot. Although she is just a beginner model, we have had nice pictures. Below, I attach a picture of her:


This is Linh.

Linh is a Vietnamese girl. The very surprising thing is that she changes her clothes in front of my nose. Okay, although she took (all) her clothes off, she was turn her back to me. I wonder whether she did that to other photographer too. My sense says NO! I first thought that my eyes were kidding me. hehehe....Well, during the portrait shoot, I was a bit annoyed by her bra. It was very hard for me to get that picture I was looking for. Because of this, Linh asked me whether I prefer her to take off her bra. This was my second surprise. I said, "No! I still can handle."

I personally think that that many men cannot resist to see some nudes during the shoots. From my experiences, I know it is hard to hide from the cameraman. Sometimes, whether you want it or not, the photographer can see what he/she that is "forbidden". Being a model, especially a professional one, should not be afraid to be "seen".

The week after, I have an appointment with my canteengirl. This time, she brought her friend with her. Her name is Wendy. She has zero experiences in photoshooting and that is very noticeable when I shoot her. It was very tough, since I do not see any nice angle in her. I know I am talking very bad now. But I have tried my best to make her pretty.

After the shooting, I rush to Den Haag for a farewell dinner of Yue Choa. Yue Choa is a MSc guy (with scholarship) who did a project (on behave of a company in China) at my U. He is from Tsing Hua University. He is a very smart and nice guy. We talked and eat a lot together during the lunch break. The month before his project ends, he was stressing very much. He worked till the U closed and during the weekend, he was also working on his project. His project is really too much of workload. His supervisor, which is known as a "trouble" guy, Kofi Makinwa, is not a good supervisor too. If you don't listen to his idea, you will have a lot of trouble. Another horrible thing is that his idea might change from days to days. The most ridiculious thing is the professor affairs at our Instrumentation department. To be short, the earlier you left my department, the better.

The photo is taken by Xu Yang. She was playing with my camera while I was in toilet. Xu Yang is a MSc student and she is prof. A. Theeuwissen MSc student. She had her MSc graduation that week too. So does Xiao Dong. That farewell dinner is a tripple celebration: 2 MSc graduations and Yue Chao finishes his work and he left to China two weeks later.

Well, we went to have dinner with the Sensor group and some people from Digital Systems plus Circuit Design. They brought me to a restaurant where you can eat spicy food that is very popular in China. I do not think the food is spicy and the food was OK la. But it is not very expensive. Maybe because the restaurant is run by China people.

That week, I was asked to take two simple shots of Li Rou Xuan and Jason. They said they gonna marry this year and they need a picture for the Dutch city hall. It seems that many people around me starting their new life this year. I am really happy for them who found their other part. Yue Chao realy wants to vist him in China. He kept asking and asking. The funny thing he said was that he would introduce Chinese pretty meimeis to me when I go to China. I don't how he knows I am single. Maybe I told him before. He said it is easy to find a girlfriend because I look good. Hahaha....yah, in my whole life, only one girl finds me "handsome". I really don't get where on my face spot look "good". YueChao was pretty serious about his words. But I will try if I can visit him this year.

Now these two poeple are in China for organising their wedding stuff. Yue Chao is now also in China. This week, I brought him to the airport. I woke up at 5AM. Yue Chao will also marry very soon. He and Jason brought a diamond ring for their girlfriend. I introduced Stephanie's mother to them, since her mother worked in a diamond store in Amsterdam. I am very happy to hear that she gave them a lot of discount. I really need to thank Stephanie one day. Maybe at the day of the housewarming party. My buddy, On Yi,will give housewarming party and all our Singapore buddies will have a dinner at my place. So, I have to cook for my group friends again.
