It was a week with a very busy schedule. The Monday started with working
in Amsterdam. Gabor, my manager, told me that we have a new fulltime QC.
He will join us coming Monday. My feeling, also Tantra and Rudy' one,
says that our new colleague won't be a nice person. Well, we do not care
about him very much, since our heart for this IT company already dies.

At Tuesday, I have that big presentation for the STW community. I met
new smart and business people from the medical field. Dafina had a tough
presentation since she received many comments. My presentation was very
easy. Only Arie and Niels had some comments on one of my results, which
I was very happy with. I like comments or critiques. The more the better.

The STW community was in Utrecht. When Paddy, Dafina and me are travelling
back to Delft and Rotterdam, Paddy suggests me to write another paper. That
paper is for the Dutch conference. I am very happy with his suggestion and
I say I will write. But Paddy said that the deadline was in end of February. But he
will talk to prof. Gerard Meijer whether it is still possible to handle in the paper,
since he is in charge for this conference.

So, at Wednesday, I went to U and Dafina helped me out with asking for
the paper stuff. Gerard says that it is not a big problem. But he would like
to receive that paper by tomorrow. That was a big problem for me, since
tomorrow I will go to Lelystad with Dafina, Paddy, Johan and Edvuardo for
a meeting with a company. Gerard said that he would prefer to get that paper
by tomorrow. I took one minute break to think and think if I can make it
to handle the paper in on time. After a minute break, I said, I can do that.

After the discussion, I did not work directly on writing. In stead, I went
to play tennis, which I had not played for years. It was very nice to touch
my tennis racket and hit the balls. Once the game ends, I notice that it
is already dinner time. I went back to Rotterdam to cook and to eat. Finally,
after 9pm, I start writing that paper. It took me lots of hours. I have
underestimated the amount of efforts and working hours on this. So, I went
to bed after 1.30am. It was very rare for me to sleep late because of study.

Altough, I made may hours on writing, I did not finish that. The next day,
I had to get up at 6.15am because Paddy, Dafina and others including myself,
were heading to Lelystad for a serious meeting with a company that had built
electronics for medical applications. The purpose of the meeting is getting
to know whether it is possible to use their electronics for our sensors and
how hard it is to do modifications in their circuit for our purposes. Of course,
we can design the circuit by ourself, but since we want to know what other
possibilities are to get our final goal.

Johan and Edvuardo were joining us since they have kind of the same goal as
what Dafina and me have. Johan is my study mate since both of us were going
to college. Edvuardo is a pH.D. student who is Johan's supervisor. The thesis
that Johan has, was the thesis that I want to have when I was picking. Johan
had chosen for designing an electronic that can remove cancer cells by emitting
light.

Anyway, after the meeting, I went back to Delft to finish my paper. Dafina
checked my writing and after her check, I handled the paper in.

So far, I am very happy with what I have done for my M.Sc. project. The
abstract that was sent to US, was conditionally accepted. Dafina only needed
to adjust our layout. She expects that our abstract will be accepted after
her adjestments. So, soon, I will start writing that paper with Dafina.

Today, I have a meeting with Dafina, Edvuardo and Johan. We were talking about
the electronics part. Dafina and Edvuardo suggest me to "copy" the read-out
electronics that Johan had designed for his M.Sc. project. All of us are
shorting out of time. That is why I have to copy stuff. But, while I copy
stuff, I will definitely do manymodications since I personally want to
contribute my stuff in my project as well as in the project of Edvuardo and
Johan.

Well, that is all about my study-life. This week, I have organise a
goodbye-dinner for Jimmy's leaving. Jimmy is going on trip to many
countries in Asia for 1,5years. So, I have asked all his friends from
TU Delft to join the dinner. Below, I have the groupphoto.

I look so fat on this pic.

At Thursday, Bou has had his birthday. He treated his friends for a
dinner in Den Haag. Below, you can all his friends.

Last weekend, I was not at home since I have shooting at the weekend and other things to do. During the weekdays at TNO, I was busying with finishing my experiments. I am quite happy with my results so far. But it will be a tough task to work out things perfectly. I need to study in how programming in LabView works. Sigh, I do not like programming very much.

Anyway, let me show you some shots of my friends, who are my models as well.

Here we have Petty! She cut her hair. When I chatted with her on
the phone, she said that her new look was terrible. But I personally
she looks fine.

This is Janet, Petty's sister. Does she look like her sister?

My first duoshoots. Too bad that I missed my backgroundsupporter
when I did this shooting. But this week, my backgroundsupporter
finally arrived.

You might wonder why I have headshots only. Well, because they
asked for it.

I personally like this duoshoots the most. I notice that their
sisters' relationship is very good!

This shoots with my student Kasia, were taken at Sunday's noon.
It was a tiring shooting since I gave instructions to my model and
the photographers who are interested in portrait shootings.

By the way, all the shoots were taken with my D2Hs with Nikon
28-70mm f2.8

I photoshop in many styles. I don't know which one they like.
I personally like natural looks: as less as possible photoshop.

This one is rarely photoshop. Is it slightly overexposed?

Is this underexposed?

I personally like this PS. I just do some small adjustments.

This is more PS. But I like this style too.

Next week, I am fully scheduled. This Wednesday when I came back to Delft, I informed Dafina about my coming-back. She said that next week, we (herself, Niels and me) have the big presentation about our work on the medical field of detection of malfunction of the intestines after a surgical operation. There are in total four presentations: Dafina (2x), Niels (1x) and myself (1x). Dafina will talk about her research plus the research of Wati. And I am talking about my CO2 research and Niels will deal with the medical fields. It will be a tough day since all the sponsors and professors will come. For that presentation, I also need to handle in a report that I had to finish within 2 days. When I was in Delft, I was working hard on the report.

Anyway, next week start with working in Amsterdam. The next day, Tuesday, I have to present my results in the meeting with all the smart people and sponsors of the whole project. At the evening, I have a dinner with all of my friends from my U, because Jimmy is leaving us for 1,5 year trip to many countries in Asia. At Wednesday, I play badminton. Bou's birthday is at Thursday and he treats his friends for dinner. I want to do an oral exam at Friday and after the oral, I go back to home to rest out. This month is a very busy month. But I will survive. :)
