From this week on, my life totally changed. Why? Because I start with my M.Sc. thesis at the research company already. I get a private tuition of the head of the department of the Sensor group. He is around 50 and he is a very nice man. Oh ya, his name is Sjaak. Sjaak tells me many things about chemicals and shows me what are correct and what are wrong.
The other guys from the group are also very nice. They are very helpful when I cannot find the chemicals I want. I am very glad that I took Chemics at my Secondary School since the people from TNO have a high expectation of me. In general, people who study Electrical Engineering are achieved as smart people. Sigh, I am not smart because I am the exception of the EE-members.
Anyway la, I can do all the experiments very well so far. He is very satisfied with my results. But one of the experiments failed. We have discussed why it could fail. So far, both of us has no idea :p hehehe....It seems that I am not only not-smart, I also can bring bad luck :P
Since my project is not in the place where I live, I have to get up very early. Every day I wake up at 6.10am!!! I get home around 7pm. From now on, I do not know who will take the effort to contact me. But I think (at least) my buddy Nancy and my nice good friend Airin will do.
Talking about Nancy, we went out for dinner this Wednesday. Airin also would come, but because of circumstance she could not make it. So, only me and Nancy went out for dinner.
I am very glad that Nancy shares her bad things with me. She says that talking and having a good meal can let her drops her "sorrows". We went for Japanese buffet. We ate alot of food. Nancy broke her record: she completed round 6! Maybe I am the one who let her eat and eat, since she didn't used to eat that much.
After the dinner, both of us headed to home.
This Monday, a friend of mine came along to my place to have a dinner. He just broke up with his girlfriend. So, to company him and to cheer him up, I invite him to have a dinner at my place. At the dinner we didn't talk about his break up. Many things have been told via msn already. We just talk about other things and watch some shows and a movie.
Anyway, there are things I do not understand. Maybe you do...So, let me share something with you that I do not get:
Once you have relationship, I do understand that it can be break up for some 'acceptable' reasons. In many cases, I notice that woman is very not-understandable. Why? So far (the friends I meet), the break up starts with the girls. Their typical reason is: "I get bored of you". This is what I really do not understand. How can you get bored? Okay, the things you get through might be quite similar: going out, watching movies and hanging on the phone. But it is always the same, no matter whom you have relationship with, right?
I have pity with my friend. A few weeks ago I talked to his ex-girlfriend on msn. She said that her current relationship with my friend is not good. I ask her why. And she did not how to say. I really do not understand why she cannot give me a reason. She said, she was thinking very hard what to do. By that time, mine friend did not tell me that his relationship was in danger. Maybe this is something typical men' thing. We like to keep things for ourself only. Only when it cannot be keep, we will talk. From my experiences I get from my friends, I know that women do not appreciate that. Therefore, I wanna chang since I want to be the perfect guy for my girlfriend.
Well, when I notice that the ex of my friend was thinking hard, I really wanna help her. Secretly, I want to bring her back to my friend, since I know that my friend really loves her very deep. My friend is a good guy. His loyality to his girlfriend is (nowadays) very unique. I personnaly do think that becoming his girlfriend will be vey lucky. His ex also knows that my friend is very good guy and very loyal. They have been together for years. My friend also did alot to woo her before they become couple. His sacrifice till now should be appreciated. But we all know in the dictionary of love, the word fair does not exist. So my friend is now very down because the final result is break-up.
When my friend talked to me about his break-up and when he told me the story behind, I really do think that his ex is ridiculous. His ex seemed to have a relationship a few months ago. That means, time before the break-up she already has another guy (other boyfriend). I really cannot accept people who put "his legs in both boats". You really hurt the one who loves you and the one who do not love very much. Honesty, loyalty and trust are very important to keep the relationship going. I really do not understand what his ex was thinking of. If she already had other guy, what are you considering of? That guy seems to know her for a couple of days only before they got attached. How can you accept others when you already own one? And how can you accept a guy without knowing him well? And is it because you have other guy, you forsake the old one? Come on, we guys (or girls) are not like the toys! We all have feelings and hearts. Those hours I spent on chatting with her through msn was wasting of my time, since I am sure she wanna break up. And did she pretend to be do-not-know-what-to-do?
I really think it is a great waste to forget such a guy and pick up another who you only know for a couple of days. Good guys, as my friend, are extremely rare in these days. Maybe the one who does not know to value such a relationship, will never have a happy relationship in the future. Poor my friend, who has been hurted. I am sure he will stand up at his own feet again. It is just a matter of time.
I wonder the following thing: if you ever find someone who is loyal and love you very much (maybe he/she loves you more than you love him/her) and let say you are a couple, would you like to search for other(s)? Since you already find your lover, why you keep your door open for others? Maybe you have an excuses as "getting bored" which I really do not understand since relationship has nothing to do with that. I personally think that once you meet such a good person, you would be the luckiest guy/girl of this world!

The last day in Holland. Again, we sleep till very late in the morning. Our plan is slightly changed since we want to rest out. In our plan, we should visit Antwerpen and Brussel (places in Belgium) today. After some discussions, we conclude that we better stay in Holland.
So, my today's schedule is bringing them around in Rotterdam. First of all, I bring them to Blaak to see the cubic houses. After that, we do some typical ladies' thing: shopping! I also have to check for my tickets to Berlin, Prague and Vienna. I bring them the Chinatown of Rotterdam too. In the Chinatown Sixiu bought her favorites coup noodles. She said that she misses that alot. It is ver funny to see how happy Sixiu was.
On our way back to my room, I meet Lili. She was cycling and we had a very short talk. I thought that Lili was with her boyfriend in oversea for holidaying.
Anyway, being back to my room, I prepare Chinese food for the ladies. It seems that Chinese food is more liked than other cuisines since there were very few things left. In the late evening, I edit some pics for the ladies because Yanling might leaves us from now on. While I am editting (coverting the RAW to JPEG) the ladies packed all their stuff. They get their washed clothes back from my balcony. I am happy to receive them as my guests :)

20 July 2007
I called my mother today (20th of July) while we were on our way to Berlin since my mom just came back from holidaying in Malaysia and Singapore. She was fine. :)
When I was on our way to Berlin, I get a call from the Spanish airline company. They said they found my lugage and ask me when I will be at home. I told them to bring it to my parents' place since I was still touring.
It was my first time that I get the train from Amersfoort to Berlin. The train itself is ridiculious and also the sphere is very weird. The train is overcrowded: people is standing, sitting and sleeping everywhere which I really think it is extremely weird since you need to book the seat before you get into the train.
The most weird thing is, is that people sit at our seats that we have reserved. We asked them friendly to move and luckily they obeyed us.
The hours that I spent in this old train, is the longest trip of my whole life travelling with the train. We left Amersfoort from 10.17am and we finally arrived in Berlin at 5.12pm! So almost 7hours sitting in the train.
Oooh, I really do not that train. This will be hopefully my last time.
Altough the train is oldish, the Berlin's train station is very modern. It is a huge station and the German people can speak English too. Well, I can understand their German as well :P hehehe. After getting some touristique information of Berlin, we searched for our hostel. And after check in we were looking for food. I notice that the food in Berlin is slightly cheaper than in Holland. also there, they have more variaties.
After the dinner, we visited a park. In that park I notice that I am a very attractive guy for the mosquitos. It seems like that the superstar is coming and every wanna kiss me here and kiss me there. The results are that I get a red bubbles of their kisses. Cindy also gets bited by those small things. Sixiu is the most luckiest one beyond our 3. We started wondering how it could be. Maybe it is related to the bloodtype, altough we know that it has nothing to do with it. But from the curiousity, we asked each other for our bloodtype. We all seem we have the same bloodtype. Cindy is O- and I am also O-. Sixiu does not know if she is + or -.
Anyway, after being a few minutes there, I really cannot accept that I am the mosquito's superstar. I decided to take out my white flag from my pockets. So, we left the park and we will come back by tomorrow when there is daylight (while the ridiculious flyings are taking nap).
At night, we received a message in which Yanling told us that she changed her plan and she liked to join us for visiting the other cities. When she arrived at our hostel, we secretly snapped her in our room.

The next day starts with touring in Berlin. We attend the so called Free Tour. Before we join the tour, we take some food. The food here is cheaper than in Holland. Holland is an expensive country. The food is bad and it is also a very boring. the only good thing of Holland is the education: here we are not competitive.
Anyway, walking through Berlin, I notice that this town is quite clean. It is cleaner than in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. The street is big (much bigger than Amsterdam). Berlin has a lot of historical elements. I notice that I almost forget the whole history of Germany, although I was pretty good in history at the beginning of the Secondary School.
After the free tour, we go back to the Park (Potsdam) with the mosquitos since we want to explore that park in more details. This time we go there in by mid-afternoon. That is, because the mosquitos will be less active. However, I really notice that the mosquitos really wanna welcome me with bites here and there. So bad....we are half of our way in the park and I already wanna give up because I get to many bites.
Well, Cindy also gets bites. She is allergic to mosquitos bites. Poor girl...

Cindy with the Berliner Wall. This is the second generation wall.

Behind Cindy, there is a printing of Berlin's city. Many pics of this
series are edit in Photoshop.

This is the square with the two churches that are identicallt the
same to each other.

This is another one church. Aren't they look like the same? Duh,
they are built to be the same.

Here we have Sixiu! This pic is taken in the park Potsdam.

The palais in Potsdam. It is very huge!!!

Uuhhmm...I dunno what I want to say about this pic.

Jumping pic!

Look what they bought! Deutsche Wurst!

At the congres's square in Berlin.

I forget the name of these blocks.

At this square, the German people are attacked by the Russian.

Do you know what the building behind the ladies is? It is the
Chinese Temple!

What's up Cindy?

OK, a groupphoto :)

Another groupphoto. This pic is retouched in photoshop.
