Close up of Project Life cards

Here are 3 close up photos of how I labeled my cards so that I could easily find them. It really works and saves me from looking through dozens of cards.

As you know the larger core kits come with 10 of each design. I pulled one out of each design and clipped them together in the front of my box. I labeled each one along with a corresponding piece of colored card stock so that I could easily find what I was looking for. So now I only need to pull the small pack, find the number and then I go right to the space where the cards are located.

For the amber pack, there are 20 sets of duplicates. So, I labeled each of the yellow cards 1-20. Each PL card has A-1  through A-20. Blush is B1-B20.  I'm sure at some point I will need to refine this system as I use up the cards.  Oh yes, I am supposed to use them.  LOL

Project Life set up

I started by using the Becky Higgins trays to store my 3 project life kits. (see top photo). i color coded the different kits by cutting card stock to separate the cards within the individual kits - Pink for Cherry, Yellow for Autumn and Blue for Blush. Hmmm, should have been pink but I had already done the cherry cards.  I pulled out one of each card and paper clipped them together. In the upper right hand corner I penciled in a code for each individual card then put the same code on the card stock. That way, I can look through a small stack of cards and then find them in the back without having to flip through every card I own.

Photo 2 shows the box I purchased from Close to My Heart that fit all the cards perfectly and it closes so I don't spill or get dust on them.

I have successfully used this box now a couple times and I love the system I devised.  If I get a chance, I will take a close up of the cards with their labels.

Lily's 1/2 Birthday

When our kids were little we celebrated their 1/2 birthday.
  * Half a cake
       *  Half a song
             *  Half a present (small one)

I was surprised they remembered - Rob called me and said they were having a 3.5 birthday for Lily. It was a fun afternoon. Here are a couple favorite photos:

Our little surfer girl - Evelyn. She stood up on her own on the surf board. Looks like she will be going surfing someday with Grandpa and Auntie Kristen.
