As everyone knows I am about a month behind on my blog. So, yes last month Kayla turned 7. Which means one year left til she gets baptised, which she has mentioned quite a few times. I let her invite a few friends over, grandparents, and Tom and Emily's family. It was alot of fun, even though Kayla was having a bit of an attitude during it. Its crazy she is getting so big!

Christmas Day
Yes, I know its been a month, but I am just getting to it. Christmas 2009 was great. The kids got alot of great gifts and mommy and daddy did a pretty good job of staying on budget too! Jace got alot of Star Wars stuff which he loves. Kayla got a Baby Alive and her first MP3 Player and Talia got a baby doll and some other small toys. Unfortunetly Talia wasn't feeling well on Christmas day so we pretty much opened her presents for her. However she was okay with opening any candy she found lying around. And of course, Jon got himself a new XBox thanks to his generous and loving wife (yes I know its his money, but I purchased it for him!). Anyway, it was a good day and the kids all seemed content for the most part. Unfortunetly, it also meant Christmas was over which always makes me sad and every year it seems like the Christmas season goes by faster and faster every year and it seems like I missed it. Oh well until next year!

Catch Up
Hey everyone! I am terrible at updating our blog, it seems like maybe once every month or two I put up a new post. I am not really sure who really checks our blog, but for those who do I thought I'd give everybody an update on whats going on.
Talia started walking shortly after her first birthday. She is a hilarious and adorable little girl who loves to explore. She just wonders about the house checking things out, and unfortunetly making messes pretty much everywhere she goes. She has started to say a few words but they still aren't consistent. She is alot of fun and we all enjoy having her around.
Jace is a little crazy. He loves anything boy and is enjoying preschool. Although he usually puts up a fight when I have to interupt his play time to go, but he loves it when he's there and talks my ear off when I pick him up. He just had his fourth birthday and loved it. For a few days after he was still asking me if it was his birthday still. It was a little funny. Luckily we got him going onto Christmas now, but its starting to get a little annoying because every day he asks me if its Christmas yet, especially if it snows at all that day.
Kayla is enjoying first grade. Though she does complain about having to get up early. She tends to like to sleep in. I guess she got that from her mom. Anyway, she is reading really well and has advanced to the Advanced Reader Program which she was so exicited for. Its a little crazy how much she is learning these days. SHe is learning to tell time, do math, and spelling. So far she is doing well at everything, but mostly she likes recess. She is also in ballet for the first year. In the past she has done gymnastics and generic dance, but this year we decided to try just ballet. So far she likes it and says her favorite part is when they do turns. She seems to be doing well at it and enjoys it.
Jon and I are the same. Jon is extremely busy at work right now, but handling it and so am I since he's not home much lately. Luckily, its only a week or so longer so we are sticking it out. I am doing good staying at home and taking care of the kids which seems to get busier all the time so I get a little tired sometimes but this is how life is as a mom of three children. Now we are just trying to get ready for Christmas and looking forward to an exciting Christmas this year. For any of our family that check our blog, we look forward to seeing you at Christmas and for everyone Merry Christmas!

Talia is 1 !
Talia seems to be enjoying it just fine.
Talia with some of her birthday presents
On September 25th Talia turned one! It seems crazy to me this past year has gone by so fast. She has been the easiest baby we've had so far which I think we both really have appreciated, she even sleeps through the night! Anyway we invited all the local families and we had a good turnout. I know a one year old's birthday party isn't very excited but we appreciated everyone who showed up. Anyway she had a good time I think and got some really cute gifts even though she wasn't very interested in opening them at first. I think I pretty much opened then all for her but once they were opened she had alot of fun playing with them.

So as many of you know school started a few weeks back. In ways I was so ready for it but I was also sad that the summer was over. We did alot of fun things this summer. In June we took a four day vacation to the Salt Lake Valley. While we were there we visited the aquarium, zoo, air force museum, and of course went shopping! It was tons of fun but we were all ready to go. Four days is a long time with three small kids in a tiny hotel room!
In July, we took our annual camping trip with my family. This year the trip was to Bear Lake. I had never been there but it was alot of fun. THe camping not so much. It got so cold at night and we were sleeping in a tent, so we didn't sleep very good. But it was fun. We took a hike to a beautiful lake in the mountains, visited the Minitonka caves, and of course went swimming at Bear Lake!
Because we had so much fun a Bear Lake, in August we took another trip there. This time we spent 3 days in Utah visiting the zoo, shopping, and seeing family. Then we headed to Montpelier we spent the day at the beach, this time we were joined by Jon's brother Tom and his family. Unfortunetly when we got there it was overcast and not very warm. Lukily it warmed up a little and the sun came out. That night sadly, Kayla got the stomach flu in the hotel room. Originally our plan was to spend the next day in Lava Hot Springs, but with Kayla's unexpected illness we weren't sure it was going to happen. In the end we made it and had a great time for the most part. Kayla even went down the waterslides several times. It was a really fun trip!
