Communication Error

Now, I don't want this little story to take anything away from my wonderful hubby. I would just like to illustrate how different our brains are. Our thinking is sometimes complete opposite of each other. This is how it went:

Me: Sunday is my Dad's birthday.

Brandon: Oh so is it today? (it was Thursday)

Me: What, I just said that Sunday is my Dad's birthday.

Brandon: Yeah but I thought that you meant we were just celebrating it on Sunday

Me: Really because I didn't just say that Sunday was his birthday.

Sometimes I honestly think that he hears what I am saying but really only hears what he wants to make out of it. I hope that my husband isn't the only one that has lovely selective hearing!!!

Sleep Deprivation

So for those of you that know me fairly well, know that I really love to sleep in. When I had Kambri everyone kept telling me that it would end soon and that she would wake me up in the morning. Well so far she is still sleeping in until 9:00 or later. When she was a baby she would sleep in my bed with me in the mornings and we would sleep in. Well I have to say that Bennett is another story. He wakes up at about 7:00 every morning. Let me just tell you it is seriously killing me. I know I am pretty pathetic, but my body is accustomed to 9 hours, yes you read it, 9 hours of sleep at night. So I usually go to sleep pretty late and with Kambri even though she didn't sleep through the night for awhile it didn't matter because we slept in. With Bennett I try to go to bed earlier but he is waking up at least 2 times a night. I am hardly functioning by the time 5:00 at night rolls around. Ahhhh, I am mainly venting, but I would also like some advice of how to get him to sleep all night long. (I can't do the crying out thing) For now I will just have to make my body get used to it and be proud of myself for getting ready by 9:00. And for those of you that have babies that sleep all night long I don't even want to hear about it!!!

My baby is 6 months old!

I can't believe it, Bennett is 6 months old. Its so crazy that you wait so long for them to come and then it flies by! We love him so much. Here are a few things about our sweet Bennett.

*He is so smiley especially with Kambri. He is always smiling and laughing at her.

*He is crawling, yes thats right crawling. He has been army crawling for about a month now and then he started getting up on his hands and knees . Now he is moving all over.

*He is super ticklish and I love to make him laugh. I put my head on his belly and he laughs and laughs.

*He is a momma's boy! He has started to lean towards me when someone else is holding him. I love it.

*I fed him rice cereal awhile ago and he seriously did not like it. I was wondering if he just couldn't get the eating thing down. Well I started feeding him this oatmeal banana cereal and he loves it. He eats at least two bowls. Maybe he will start packing on the pounds.

*He is a skinny minny. He doesn't weigh very much but he is tall. He is in the 80% for height. Which by the way I didn't think we would ever have a baby in the 80th anything. He is going to be like his daddy tall and skinny.

And the winner is....

BENNETT!!! Yes thats right I am the proud mother of the baby with the most hair:) Last night was the Riverdale baby contest and Bennett won for most hair. They loved his cute mohawk. When they called his name he was a asleep on my shoulder, he was so tired. These things are kinda funny you stand up there while judges walk by and judge your kids!!! But you do have to take it in perspective because everyone's kids are cute. I was excited to take him and had fun doing his hair. Now he needs another hair cut!
