Don't Eat the Yellow Snow!

Hi! It's the last day of January, so we figured we would end off the month with one more winter project.  We used the svg cuts file Santa's Sweets to make this adorable snowman topper for our mason jar.

This jar would be great to fill with candy m&m's or cookie mix.  We decided on cotton candy, it's fluffy just like snow.  We cut our tag out using the print and cut feature on our silhouette cameo, and of coarse we decided banana flavour cotton candy would be the best.

We attached the tag to our jar with baker's twine, wrapping it around several times, finishing it off with a bow in the front.

Chilly Willy

Hi!  Yesterday, our project featured a girl penguin, so today we decided to use a boy penguin.

We used the same two cricut cartridges, Artiste for the box and Simply Charmed for the penguin.  We cut the box out with blue cardstock, stamped the snowflakes with a VersaMark stamp pad, then heat embossed with our ultra thick embossing enamel.  We used the same blue cardstock for bow, glued a blue bling to the centre of the bow and attached it to our penguin with a pop dot.  For the face we used a peachy keen stamp.

For fun we attached the penguin to the box with an action wobble.  We mounted a sticker we had in our stash to blue cardstock, then, with pop dots we stuck it to the box, to give our penguin his name.

Now all we need is the perfect treat to go inside.  Though, not our favourite, we decided York peppermint patties would go perfect with our project! Six of the patties fit perfectly!

This was another quick and easy project to do.  Hope you enjoy!

Let itSnow - Hot Cocoa forTwo

We have another Hot Cocoa project for you today!

The paper we used is Winter Joy Stripe by BoBunny.  We cut the french fry box out with our cricut expression and the artiste cartridge.  For the penguin we use the simply charmed cartridge.

We attached the penguin to the box with pop dots for some dimension.  The double sided paper was perfect for this project, we matched the penguins bow to the inside of the box.

This box fit two packets of the cocoa mix and a little bag of marshmallows perfectly.  We stamped the sentiment  and heat embossed it, then attached it to one of the cocoa packets with a pop dot.  The marshmallow bag was tied with purple and white striped twine.

This project was super simple and super quick to put together!

Hot Cocoa & Marshmallows

Another cold day, another winter project.  This one will warm you up!

We have had this milk carton file from the silhouette store for a couple years now and never used it, finally figured out the perfect project for it.  The milk cartons were cut using paper from North Pole Production pack by the Paper Studio.

The milk carton holder was cut with blue bazzil cardstock.  The snowflake we cut with our cameo using the svg cuts file Christmas Open House kit. The snowflake was cut with white cardstock and glued to the light blue glitter paper, with pop dots we attached it to the darker blue glitter paper and finally glued it to the holder with more pop dots.  A snowflake bling was glued to the snowflake center.

We filled one of the milk cartons with hot cocoa and the other one with marshmallows.  To close the cartons we found some ribbon in our stash and a snowflake button to hold it.  The tag was punch with the fiskars punch and stamped with the sentiment.  A little blue bling was added for a punch of pizzaz.

Hope you enjoyed our project!

Let it Snow

Hi there!  We have a snowman box to share today.  The snowman was made using the cricut expression and doodlecharm cartridge.  We stamped the snowmans face using a peechy keen stamp.

The box was made using the Silhouette Cameo and a gable box from the silhouette store.  The paper we used is from the Paper Studio, North Pole Production paper pack.

We stamped "Let it Snow" on white cardstock and punched it out using a fiskars tag punch.  Then we attached the tag wth twine to the blue ribbon we got from our stash.

Of coarse, no treat box is complete without a treat. So we added some kisses!  We stamped snowflakes on white card and heat embossed them with glittery blue embossing powder.  Then using a small circle punch we punched out the snowflakes and attached them to the kisses.

WINTER BOOTS

Baby it's cold outside!  The cold weather has inspired us to make these booties. They may look warm but don't be fooled, they are made of paper.

First we cut out the boots using the Silhouette Cameo and the Santa's Surprise svg cuts file.  The paper we used was from the Paper Studio's North Pole production paper pack.

We then laced up the boot with some ribbon (we used ribbon we had in our stash, not sure where
we got it).  You should lace up the boot now because once it's assembled you won't be able to.

We then glued the boot together, glued the sole to the bottom of the boot and hot glued a piece of boa (also from our stash, got it at michaels) to the top of the boot, and our boot is complete!  This project was really quick and easy to make but if you need help Svg cuts has a tutorial on how to put it together.

Of coarse no project is complete with out some sort of treat, so we decided to make some chocolate covered pretzel rods to tuck inside.  Yummy!

We used white Wilton candy melts, dipped the pretzel rods and sprinkled them with cake sprinkles.  For the tag, we used our paper punches and a peechy keen stamp for the snowmans face.  We put two pretzel rods in each bag, tied a tag to the top and placed them in the boot.
