More Pictures

Sorry it took so long, I was at girls camp. Well, continuing on.... We spent a few days in the Midlands area... Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Dudley and some other places. This is where Kade served his mission so we got to visit a few of the families and they were so much fun. We also went to church with one of the families. They made us an awesome meal, one of the best we had in England! It was great getting to know them and their awesome kids! We then went to Manchester, Liverpool, Wales, Bath and then back to London to come home.

England

Well I'm not sure really how to begin this post because I have so many pictures and stories and I'm not sure where or how to start so I will just show you some fab pictures and a brief travel log. If you have any questions just let me know.

Day 1 & 2 LONDON

Kade & I had already been to London so we had a short stay but really enjoyed it. We walked, rode the underground and took a double decker bus to the sights. I don't have a ton of pictures from London because of course my battery died but here are a few.

Eric really enjoyed Trafalgar Square...

We saw all of the usual sights including Buckingham Palace...

Trafalgar Square...

Victoria Station

We had our first experience with fish & chips for our first lunch in England and they would continue to be comfort food for the rest of the trip. We also quickly became accustomed to the not so wonderful exchange rate combined with the not so cheap anything in England. We got .48 pounds for every 1.00 dollar. We chose a great time to go.... There was definitely one thing that took a while to get used to and that was driving!! Kade was the only one that dared to drive and no thanks to my map skills we are still alive. I tried on several occassions to get into the drivers seat with Kade and Eric staring just waiting for me to realize that it was in fact the drivers seat and not the passengers. Thank goodness we had a GPS that we did not trust at all in London because it took us on all of these side streets and a drive of 30 miles took over an hour but eventually we came to realize it was not the fault of the GPS, it was the streets of London and the layout of that blasted area. Once we were out of London the GPS was like manna from heaven!

This took much longer than I thought it would. So, I think I will just do a bit everyday. Cheers!
