Brief Update

Hi all!

As most of you know, I was admitted to the hospital last Tuesday evening. Suprise, suprise... it was for the same reason I was admitted while I was pregnant with Chloe. My potassium was low along with many other things. They tried giving me potassium through and IV but it burned my veins like fire. So, the ended up putting in a PICC line again. I will now have a matching scar on each arm from my two girls! One of my doctors confirmed that most likely all of my pregnancies will be like this (unless I am pregnant with a boy), so that was kind of a bummer. My heart is acting kind of erratic, but after MANY different tests, they think it is just a side effect of me being so low on my nutrients.

Anyways, long story short.... I'm much better now. I take 15 pills a day, but at least I got to come home on Saturday. Chloe had a very difficult time with me being gone for so long, so I'm extremely grateful to be home.

I went to the doctor today and everything looks good with Payton (I think that's the name that we've chosen although we're still debating the spelling.) She looks perfect! My cervix is still long and thick, so I'm praying that the rest of my pregnancy will go well!

A New Addition to our Family!

So, we have a little announcement! We are going to be having a baby GIRL sometime in August. I am just over 17 weeks along. We feel so blessed and Chloe is absolutely thrilled! I have to say that I personally thought that this one was a boy, so I was a little suprised. As soon as the doctor told me though, it just felt right. How am I so lucky that I get to have two little girls? Seriously, so blessed!

My pregnancy has started out a little rough and for those of you who remember my one with Chloe, that has all of us pretty scared. Fortunately, I have a good doctor who is looking out for the welfare of me and the baby. He put me on a new perscription, so hopefully I'll be able to start eating some real food again. But, the great news is that the baby is perfectly healthy so far. All the measurements are right on, she has fingers, toes, and a nice brain. The doctor told Chloe that this baby is going to be just as smart as she was! I thought that was cute.

Oh, and I just wanted to say Happy 10 year anniversary to my wonderful husband. It kind of came and went by yesterday and we didn't do anything because I was too sick to celebrate. He has been amazing with Chloe and has done all of the cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, etc while I have basically laid on the couch and slept. I think I'm pretty lucky!
