I am loving the cold winter weather; but only as long as I can stay home in my warm house with the cozy fireplace (very rare). The other day we made a hut under the table. Give me a table and a blanket and I will give you a tent. I realize it is not rocket science, but when I first introduced it to my kids, they thought I was brilliant. This is something I have done since childhood and then in college (remember Camie?) and now with my own kids. I found Nate asleep in the hut and thought it was so stinking cute. I hate to see my baby growing up. I would love to freeze him at this age forever. I am not looking forward to potty training and trying to get him off that thumb.
Here is Travis. He doesn't take naps anymore he just has "rest time. " He usually always falls asleep. He is such a super hero fan, note the shirt and the batman car. He is at that stage when he asks so may questions about his world. I love to look in his eyes and see the wheels turn as he tries to make sense of new information. He has to fit it into, and make it work with what he already knows to be true. It is an interesting process, we all do it. If I reach way back in my memory from a college educational psychology class. I do believe it is called scaffolding. Correct me if I am wrong. Heaven knows I am wrong often. Anyway I am constantly answering endless questions. Some of which I don't know the answers.
The boys love to build rooms/beds/spaceships out of jenga blocks for their batman guys. I am so glad Nate and Travis have each other. It has been difficult at times but I am happy we had them close together.
