On Sunday August 14th My youngest daughter was blessed.. she looked beautiful thanks to her aunties for the dress, her grandma for the beautiful blanket, and her daddy for the beautiful blessing. It was a very special day for our family, so we decided to wear Tongan attire for the special occasion. After her blessing we decided it was a perfect opportunity to take family pictures, so we headed to a local park to capture the moment. all in all it was a great day...
the my family, my husbands siblings, and my niece.

On Thursday my oldest son made me proud and graduated from High school.... I was so overjoyed with excitement to see him walk down that isle... and receive that little piece of paper to recognize his completion of high school... we had such a fun week leading up to the day.... lots of family was here.. we just spent time together hanging out.. I love when there is reason to celebrate.... because all the fam gets together.... we went all out making sure Tyler knew he had support at his grad "team Tyler"...LOL it was such a memorable night for sure... I am so grateful for my family and all they do for us.... after the graduation.. Ty went to magic mountain for grad nite.. and the whole family... went to dennys.... so sad to see all my family leave... next up summer time... lots of lil trips planned... and hopefully moving into a house.... =0) love this picture... love my son.. can you tell im so proud!! this kid is such a riot... never a dull moment with him... he was posing for the crowd...LOL TEAM TYLER... THE BACK OF MY SHIRT SAID 1 DOWN 4 TO GO... THAT'S MY BOY.....
The other day I caught Tianasili sleeping like this...I always wrap her up... but she some how manages to get her lil arms out and get comfy the way she likes it, I thought she looked so precious.... we are enjoying her every bit around here....
On April 14th at 4:41am My 2nd daughter Tianasili paehae'ofa Kathryn came into this world weighing in at 8lbs. 6 oz. and 20 1/2 in. long. Her first name is my mother in laws name, her 1st middle name is my sis in laws middle name, and her 2nd middle name is my moms first name.. it fits her perfect... and I am grateful to have her named after such great women.... My due date was April 16th and my Dr. wanted to induce me.. But I didn't want to, because I dont normally get an epidural, I was afraid that if I was induced that the pain would be stronger and I would want meds... I havent had any with my last 3... so I I didnt get induced... I went in to the hospital at about 10:30pm on the 13th.. and seem to be dilating fine.. until I got to 7... I was just stuck there... for hours it seemed like... finally my DR. came in and broke my water and I went from 7 to 10 in 30 seconds.. and was ready to push... when the broke my water ...the realized there was meconium(sp??) in my water sac... therefore they had to call in NICU from my delivery.. It was pretty scary... and she had to be taken for awhile which was super sad... but she was brought back a couple hours later.. and is doing fine.... She has been such a joy to have in our home ... and everyone is just loving on her.. she is such a good baby.... eat, sleep, and poop.. and never spits up... and she LOVES... to eat.... we are so blessed to have her in our family....
So much has been going on here in The Manu home... where do I start.... ??? Kam has been moving up the ladder with his Job and is doing quite well... Which has helped us make the decision to stay put in Bakersfield for awhile. The only downfall is he is currently working 7 days a week/ 10 hour days... which has got me taking on a lil more on the home front.but I keep reminding myself " at least he has a job"... I have been busy with school.. taking one of the most challenging classes yet..I have also been anxiously a waiting the arrival of our lil girl.. she gave us a lil scare and almost care early.. but with the help of some meds, she is staying put for awhile...I also got called as the primary secretary, which I am enjoying fully.. I love to watch the kids sing and learn about the Gospel.. Its a lot of work but I wouldn't change anything... I also recently ended my lil daycare in my home... so I could focus more on my schooling, family and church calling... I love kids so much... but I knew it was time for a change but still enjoy kids in my home every now and then...Tyler is coming near the end of High school and will be graduating in about 3 months.. which I still can't believe....!!! he was recently accepted into CSUB, which im so happy about because I'm not quite ready to have him leave the nest quite yet...LOL... he is going to major in journalism.. and has become quite the writer.... Kakala recently turned 12(oh goodness)... and is in young womens now... she makes us so proud ... of the lil lady she is becoming.... Jayden recently got principal's list and is doing great in school... he has recently showed a passion for basketball... and has a ball in his hands at all times....LOL... Josiah ...what can I say about him?? he is the smartest lil kid... to wise for me sometimes.... LOL.. he has recently mastered his numbers to 15... but cant quite get the 16 comes after.... but he trying... he is sooo excited about his lil sister coming soon.. and cant wait to help me with her... he talks to her everyday and give her kisses... so I can't wait to see how he acts with her when she is here.... as a family we have recently decided to house hunt again since we know we are staying put.. so hopefully we will find something.... also thinking of getting a bigger vehicle for our growing family... but not sure yet..
I haven't been putting pics up... because my new camera seems to take FOREVER to load pics. not sure what the deal is????
Wow have I been blog slack'n I will explain after I write about Christmas...
For Christmas.. we were able to head up north to my inlaws.. and spend a whole week and a half... it was nice not to have to rush back home... but to just relax and enjoy everyday.... we did alot while we were out there.. we went to 2 church dances, the park, ice skating in union square, the beach, santa cruz boardwalk, and much more... we also had a lot of down time just watching movies, eating, playing games, and hanging out by the fire....it was such a nice little getaway... and one of the highlights of the trip is my hubby surprised me with a new camera... I was so shocked and happy... that I cried... im so excited.. my hubby is signing me up for a class.. to learn all about my camera and taking pics....so hopefully I will be posting more..
For Thanksgiving this year I decided to throw out the whole traditional turkey and stuffing... and we went to DISNEYLAND instead... we had gotten our free tickets from volunteering.... It was so much fun... we went with Kam's sisters and cousins and 2 other families from our ward here in Bakersfield.... the day was perfect and it wasn't too busy... the one complaint I have is that it was freezing at night so we couldn't hold on til midnight... even the kids were ready to leave by 9:30... we had corn dogs for thanksgiving dinner... and they were yummy.... I didn't get any pics of the older kids because they went off by themselves.... we just had Josiah for the day... but we had a lot of fun taking him on the little kiddy rides.. and and going into toon town... his favorite part would have to be the parade.. he was in such aww to see all his fav. movie characters in real life... there is a pic down below where he is on his daddy's shoulders... that was pretty much his expression through the whole parade...
on friday Josiah had tickets to the yo gabba gabba concert, that my mom had gotten him for his birthday... Tyler my 17 year old wanted to take him... so he, josiah and I drove up to L.a while the rest did some black friday shopping.... I dropped Ty and Josiah off... and I went to the L.A. temple to see the new visitors center.. It was amazing ... to go on my own and just walk through... it was so neat inside and out... I love it!!
on Saturday morning we went to take the kids to the cemetery to see Kam's grandma, grandpa, and cousin.. the kids were a big help in cleaning the headstones.... it was a nice moment with the kids. we then went to visit with my dad, Carmen, grandma, aunt and cousin... we had a big feast( which made up for the lack of on thanksgiving... it was so nice to just sit and talk and hang out.... and get full..LOL..after that we had to head home... it was a great weekend...
On Thursday this past week we had out Christmas parade here in town, and for the 2nd year in a row my daughter was in the parade with her girl scout troop... they won 2nd place again this year.... they made a train float and wore their jammies for the polor express.. it was a lot of fun for her...
