1st day of work was hectic as always. knew more about the environment and the job scope. and the dept was pretty pathetic. the manager went on maternity leave, 3 perm staffs tendered, the one that im handling (reception) is one of them; they transferred another perm staff to take over the one who's leaving and this guy is leaving in 4 days time and that's why im here! omg

and there's alot of mugging to do.

and i dont think there's anyone to mentor me. they managed to get the manager from the woodlands side to supervise once in a while. but the bad news is that he's pretty inexperienced with the way our side works.

owell it's one person struggling in the sea of documents.. gulps someone save me..

attended the rock concert at SMU after work. not bad la.. just that the acousic was weird, and the environment was very very HOT. esp for someone who was wearing office wear. the distortion and heavy beats were so terrifying.. i had a splitting headache after that. the 2nd band appealled to me though. but credits to the samba percussion band.. it really got the crowd high haha

just came back not long ago. 1st caught a movie at causeway - fool's gold. not a bad funny.. pretty funny. at least zinc thinks it's better than CJ and ahlong which i havent watched yet. haish so many movies at feb and i havent watched a single one of them yet until today! after that went arcade. didnt realise she was so good at DDR. my 1st attempt at it.. not bad for a noob. but it all got my muscles aching and i was sweating like a pig wearing sweaters after the whole thing.. think she looked pretty shocked.

maybe i'll go play DDR more often.. a good way to exercise.. ha!

reporting to work later.. like in 5 min's time. new workplace, new environment. so far i went for the interview ytd and i kinda like the place. not a big office but the hopefully my gut feeling towards it is correct.

and hopefully my work exp in HR will come into good use later.

yea i am officially unemployed. need ot look for a job again..

ytd was my last day in the office. wasnt really a good day. didnt really sleep well (as usual), had to work with fatigue and lotsa headaches. luckily the day went pretty well. stayed back a little to do a proper handing over of my duties and my responsibilities to my colleague, who is probably having a tough time now with one less helper to share her burden lol.

but still, presents made my day in the end!<

and now it's time to move on. but i shld really say that 3 months have been nothing but fulfilling. i started off with no proper working experience, and it's really an eye-opener for me. working in such a fast-paced and dynamic environment. it took me quite a while to settle down, and a further while for me to fill my 1st temp.

the colleagues here are very nice. really.. will really miss them in times to come. esp the temps. think we are a united bunch of temp staffs, hanging out at work and after work. the temp girls are really really nice to talk to. esp miss hannah foo.. her words nv fail to make me laugh.

and my mission isnt complete after i help your candidates find job. i have to follow up with them and check with them if they like their job. and handle their enquiries and complaints everytime they call. and other other stuffs.

more mundane stuffs include folding of payslips, slotting of payslips into envelopes and sticking stamps onto the evenlopes and eventually sending the payslips out. and using the vacuum cleaner to clean the office when the office lady is not around. and other stuffs what i call other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

i guess i managed to survive thru the 3 months in this company, but i think im not really a sales person after all. in this job u either make or you break. i saw 5 temp staffs and 3 perm staffs leave before my contract ended. and i guess i was really lucky.

i learnt alot although it was a short 3 months. learning how to work with your colleagues, office ettique (pardon my spelling), working attitude in the office. i can still rmb the 3rd day of work, where jackie just gave me the cold look and said, "i don't like your attitude." it really makes one feel bad and sulky for the rest of the day. of course there's this part about time management, stress management and not to forget anger management.

i really want to thank my mentor liz low lizhen, for all the stuffs that she has to tahan with me for the 3 months. i guess im not a really zai mentee.. didnt really yield results for her. as i said im not really a sales person ba. but still thanks so much!

think i shall stop here.. dinner's coming! woohoo

chinese new year came and went. the number of house visits became lesser.. and topics changed already. from questions to "when you ORD?" to questions like "what uni u going?" and "what course u taking?" and "you taking up any scholarships?" and stuffs liddat. feels weird but nvm la

think the best place visited was at ym's place. steamboat with the class.. though i was very late. so paiseh. the steamboat was great. really.. the fish was sweet. the soup was sweet. but it's more of the company. ate and talked together. and then went to play mahjong with the girls.. and then took cab back from lakeside to sembawang which costs about 20+ bucks.. omg -_-

this tuesday met up with the RE leavers.. fanny joelle (now known as fangying.. no more joelle already) and cj. at ajisan's at PS. really ate and talked about alot of stuffs. glad to see that they are fine and happy (in fact happier) now.. ate until 10+. they refused to go home.. say the night is still early. WAKAO

anyway the date's coming.. i decide that i shldnt be stopping at the crossroads. i will move on..

it feels weird not to work on a weekday. but feels good anyway. HA! it's new year eve and finally i have the time to come to this place and blog about the past few days.

it was ljy's 21st last sat. the class went to their party. the place and stuff was good. as usual sat around with the guys and talk about lots of stuff.. work.. future. most of the guys turned up in the most appropriate attire for the party ever.. singlets shorts and slippers. ha!

and after the guys changed out of their attire. lol

now onto the not-so-happy stuff. yes its about work. 2 perm staff have left the office, 1 have left to pursue his studies and 1 is going to leave after cny. this means my team that used to have 7 perm members is now down to 3. i wonder seriously how our team is going to survive man..

and i drank some bubbltea from some stall at lucky plaza one day. i drank half of the cup and left it in the office and continued to work. then at the end of the day when i finished the other half at 1 gulp i felt my throat feeling uncomfortable. and straight away i felt like vomitting - the bubbletea turned sour! OMG the whole night i was feeling very queasy and nearly threw up a couple of times. but it's ok now haha.

and now to the happier stuff. it was cj's last day ytd! felt happy for him. really ORD already. though i guess he really miss the colleagues at RE. esp his mentor and our team leader. the temp staffs celebrated for him at fish-n-co. the dinner was ok just that i didnt feel good ytd. and huiling was niaoing me the whole night -.-

and this brings me onto a dilemma. my contract ends 18 feb. shld i extend or shld i not. at the crossroads now. and kx and lan lao hopes that i can join the NUSCO concert. shld i join or shld i not. wa this is giving me a headache.. really dont feel like thinking out it. i want to try something else but i will really miss the staffs. esp my mentor and my fellow temps.
