i m seriously wondering why my weekends are getting shorter and shorter..

im halfway thru this long week... cleared the 2 most important things to me now. soc and combat shoot.. a huge load off my mind already. see the low rope lying there and saying byebye to it really feels damn good. and amazingly i managed to clear my SOC at 8:44... (yimin what's yours) a timing that's faster than my trainee time. ironically so as i didnt really get to train for it. but heck.. i cleared it at one shot and no more SOC for the rest of the year!

range yesterday was.. long and tiring.. spent most of the time waiting to be called up to shoot. but owell.. got my 200bucks! must really thank my detail (cus i had IA for both day and night.. and my night IA caused me not to fire 12 rounds out of 20 but still we got marksman as a whole).. going to treat them to lunch soon.

anyway,

another one of those short updates..

the whole week was spent in mpr again.. full troop's coming.. mapex. blah blah.. mentally tiring as working hours stretched from morning till 10+pm everyday. sometimes even till 11+.. sigh.

went for mok's wedding after bookout! must really thank csm for the early release man.. anyway his wedding dinner was really touching. the couple and family really put in alot of effort in making this wedding.. making it at a 5 star hotel.. 60 over tables and the grand decoration.. and all the videos that never fail to entertain us.. was so glad to hear mok sing again. really miss his singing with his guitar during bunk.. cant wait for photos!

ball ytd was.. tiring but fun as usual. got abit of tan so im pretty happy. lunch at crystal jade was.. good. much better than the dragon gate buffet (sorry BBB) and kx joined us for lunch! so sweet.. haha

anyway,

can anyone tell me if it's worth buying.. the catch is that i wont ever bring it into camp so i only get to listen to it during weekends.. $394 seems a good deal with the free pack but exactly how much am i going to utilise it.. hmm i need help. anyone?

The servicemen were there in support of the SAF's unilateral training in Taiwan.Two SAF servicemen are injured and are being treated in hospital. Seven others have minor injuries. Two bodies have been found and their identities are being verified."

i saw the footage.

and i realised.

it's my camp in taiwan.

omg imagine it happened last october.
perhaps the whole lot 01/06 AISL trainees and instructors would have been wiped off.

sigh the uncertainties of life.

im so glad that the off i took on thurs was worth it. going back to listen to the juniors for syf was nothing but a remarkable experience. they were pretty nervous along the way but hey! they put all their worries away on stage and made it THEIR stage. i can say that they played much better than us and i heard that some of the judges even clapped for them after their performance! so touched.

looking at them perform just brings back the memories to me.. like how we worked hard day and night for our mengdie and how scared we were just before the competition, fearing that comtemporary pieces would not be largely accepted by the judges. and how i got my jitters over the few bars whereby me and jiankai had this solo (which i think i still flopped in the end hurhur).. ah time just passes so fast and im so old already.

soon the time where we were all waiting for came: the annoucement of results. hwachong got honours yet again! so proud for them.. they worked hard for it and that's the results they deserved. after the whole thing ended went to watch spiderman with the kids. i think it's quite a disappointment ba.. maybe i expected more action from the movie.

fri's SOC was cancelled due to the rain.. and today's game in school was cancelled too cus many couldnt make it on time in the end. sighs think im going to rot my weekends in front of the com again -__- but hey! there's more guitar tabs for me to find out after cj told me the website for the chinese version of ultimate-guitar.. yayness!

today is a significant day.. exactly 6 more months till i ORD!

went to visit the juniors again yesterday after the run (yes another shiong one. up the slope.. up the slope.. zzz) and it dawned upon me that it was only 5 more days to their syf! suddenly i felt very anxious for them although i wasnt the one who will be going on stage on that day. heard their songs, i guess they have improved since the last time i heard in SCH. but of course as yucheng says.. a piece is never perfect and there's always more room for improvement. so jiayou guys!

here's a short message to my juniors out there. i know many (if not most) of you guys out there are stressed out by the competition and as i said i can feel your worries. u can be worried and anxious but when u step onto the stage, throw all your thoughts away, make it your stage. concentrate and merge yourselves into the music. may u guys shine in the competition and may the force be with you. good luck!
